  1. It's pretty cool. I only have it, Rogers/GM/Pacific Coliseum, and the one in Anaheim as my reference points... out of the three, nothing beats the atmosphere in Vancouver when the games matter, but Crypto is big and pretty fancy, and the... dozens... of die hard kings fans actually go pretty hard. Comparably, the Anaheim arena is a bit of a dump Edit: Ryan Henderson of Donnie and Dhali would probably be thrilled to hear the seats at Crypto.com aren't great.
  2. We were the ones easing up most of the game lol. I watched Boeser not finish a few checks and it was just sort of the tone of the first couple periods. LA didn't ease up at all. Demko held us in and Canucks turned it up at the end.
  3. Got to go to this game. Was interesting to be at a road game tonight, first time being the away fan. We looked real soft until the last few minutes. Miller was trying to drive play but they weren't able to break the Kings trap. I was right in front of Demko, he was brilliant.
  4. In a way, I suppose. Watching the Benster trade that 1st for OEL and Garland was something of a nightmare.
  5. I hope so. They looked soft tonight, but it was an exciting finish. The skill is there. I do see that, with Hronek and one more top 4 D, this could be a thing.
  6. Trade OEL to whoever drafts Bedard so they have no cap space and we can offer sheet him when his ELC expires
  7. Truth, but, have they not been trying to build on this group for some time?
  8. Loved the approach with Jim. Hates it with Jim. Go figure..
  9. I don't know sh*t about f*ck at this point, all I know is I'm cheering for NYI to win the cup this year
  10. Predictably, the team is going on a late season run after being near mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. It's a familiar story and one that will probably even melt the icy heart of a die hard tankist like myself, to be hopeful that this isn't another repeat chapter of the last decade. The question is: do we believe it? No one actually knows how next season is going to go. The team looks pretty good right now, let's be fair. They looked pretty good down the stretch last year too. I'm not sure I believe it, and while I like the addition of Hronek as a player with this group, this group hasn't accomplished anything. And I debate the merits of re-tooling a group that hasn't accomplished anything. So to me, it's still too early to give a letter grade. If forced to give a grade, they get a C/C- from me. An F for not recognizing where the team is at and leaning into being bad here, but a B+ for their pro scouting and the players they have brought in leap frogging guys like Garland and Boeser on the depth chart, which salvaged their grade somewhat in my eyes, and gives me some hope that next season might actually be different from this season. And last season. And the season before that. And so on. TLDR: -Pro scouting good. -Trading draft picks bad. -Team still have many questions marks -Why use many word when few do trick -Team haven't accomplished anything -Some hope starting to kindle in my icy black black, foolish heart.
  11. You may be on to something there...

    Wow! Wtf?

As an organization, no one can match the Canucks commitment to winning meaningless games down the stretch after already being eliminated, to ensure a worse 1st round draft pick (because who wants to pick in the top 3 ever anyway, laa-aame).
  13. Sometimes the Tank is Off for Silovs and that's the way it is
  14. Yeah that's what I was thinking. No team has a goon anymore. No cup contending team anyway. Fond memories of Brashear and Gino and others here though.
  15. I may be a little out of the loop, what good team in the NHL has a goon anymore? Reaves is the only one that comes to mind.
  16. There is no math to do. It's all ifs and hopes and maybes. Like I said, I hope your hopeful speculation that we'll be good next year is true. I am not gonna be fooled by a late season run, winning meaningless games.
  17. How good was he last year? Amazing. Where'd we finish? Exactly. I'd like to think that an "unstoppable" team would be fighting for a playoff position if their #1 goalie went down, not battling for a lottery pick. Sounds pretty...stoppable, if one or two things go wrong... Keep huffing that hopium. I hope it ends up being true.
  18. I don't see anyone ripping Petey or Hughes, in fact I see a lot of "we can't do anything with the future in mind because these two are so good we have to make win now moves." You want people to be happy and appreciative after the last decade of hockey we've been subjected to? Ok there company man.
  19. It's not, and this is a very unserious fanboy take (and I hope I'm dead wrong here next season).
