The Rain, season 1 - 6/10 Gave this a try for my heritage's sake (I'm half-Danish). Basically a zombie series with no zombies. Some major, major flaws (episode 1 was really poorly done), and often dumbed down for the teens, but still had enough to hold my interest for the whole season. DISCLAIMER: I have heard, however, that a lot of the themes/twists/whatever were very similar to The Walking Dead, but I haven't watched it, so...

Speaking as someone who has 2 (who are 3 and 5, respectively), there are a lot of benefits. For one, your lifestyle doesn't change much, as you already have no life. And now that they are a little older and more self-sufficient, they play together, which gives you a break, and it's good for their social development. However, it's still twice as much work. And especially when they're still young and need lots of individual attention, as parents you no longer can simply "trade off". So yeah, not exactly easy. As for @wallstreetamigo...

I perked up with Salo comparing Juolevi to Kimmo Timonen. Very solid player.

I'll watch it if Creed is in it.

Oh, come on now. Let the poor guy have his mop.

The new Beach House album. I've never been super-big on them, but I can't deny this album is something special.

7 Sisters - 4/10 (aka "What Happened to Monday") The first 45 minutes of this movie are very good. An interesting and unique premise is built up, with a cast featuring Glenn Close, Willem Dafoe, and Noomi Rapace (x7!). But the last 75 minutes are a total mess. All intelligence, heart, and continuity are cast aside to turn it into a poor, C-grade action flick. Such a waste.

Jonathan Dahlen named Allsvenskan MVP
D-Money commented on Canuck Clay's blog entry in CCC: Clay's Canucks Commentary
So we got the SHL MVP, the Allsvenskan MVP, the NCAA MVP, and the guy who may have won the Calder if he hadn't got hurt. ...Just need some defense!!!- 2 comments

Maybe it's because I'm a middle-aged curmudgeon, but I don't find there is much of a "cool factor" in the Bond movies - or superhero films. It is all, by definition, ridiculous. I just prefer it if the actor/director/etc. just knowingly winks and has fun with it. Pretending that the spy who goes around announcing his identity to everyone, or the mutant with metal claws and sideburns so he looks like a wolverine (so we call him Wolverine...get it?) is totally real, gritty, and full of deep meaning... ...seems just silly to me.
-
Agreed. The idea of Bond is silly in itself, so I much prefer the guy who is playing along with the schlock. I think that sort of relates to why I disliked Logan. I found the movie uninteresting, and the concept almost revolting. A comic book movie is usually, by definition, silly. Which is fine, if everyone is playing along with it. But Logan using X-men characters to try to present story such a grim and depressing story - and dressing it up with gore and swearing to pretend "it's like, rrreeeaalll man" - I hated it.
-
Saw this recently too, and didn't care for it. But I have a strong aversion to comic book movies now, so perhaps I was biased. The best "Wolverine movie", IMHO, is X-Men 2. It was all kind of pedestrian after that.

Broadchurch, season 1 - 7.5/10 The first season was generally strong, and interesting. Some of the actors/characters fell flat, but generally the writing was top-notch, and David Tennant and Olivia Colman made strong leads. Broadchurch, season 2 - 6/10 Season 2 was not nearly as good as the first. A lot of the subtlety went out the window, and they doubled-down on some of the weaker actors/characters from season 1. A lot of the drama seemed forced and contrived. I probably would have stopped watching had I not heard that season 3 was supposed to be better. Broadchurch, season 3 - 9/10 They really nailed it here. Basically took everything great about season 1, and took it to a new level. The story was allowed to unfold naturally, and was primarily focused on the police investigation. Tennant and Colman were better than ever, and their chemistry shined. Many of the weaker characters were put in the background (or dropped altogether). It's too bad the show is done now. Was really finding a nice groove there.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - 7.5/10 I had high hopes for this when it originally came out, as I really enjoyed Being John Malkovich and Adaptation. But I saw it, and hated it. Mostly because I disliked every single character, especially Kate Winslet's. About 13 years later, watched it again, and although the characters were still grating, it didn't bother me as much this time. I just tried to enjoy the tools and camera tricks used to capture and explore the main theme, and it was very impressive. Definitely an original movie and concept, even this many years later - it's held up well.

That same "swagger" may be what led to his lack of conditioning and insufficient offseason training after his draft. If that is the case, I certainly don't mind Sami beating it out of him.
-
A good example is Markus Naslund. Nazzy had fantastic seasons in the SHL himself (when it reportedly was a stronger league). And then he obliterated the 92/93 WJCs, with 24 points in 7 games! Expectations must have been sky-high. But it took him a couple of seasons to acclimate to the NHL, and Pittsburgh made the mistake of moving on from him.

Fargo, season 2 - 8.5/10 Hard to top the first season, but it's still fantastic.
-
I just started season 2, and found it a bit difficult at first too. But it's probably just due to having to introduce the new characters and setting. FWIW, season 1 of Fargo is rated 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, 2 is 100%, and 3 is 93%. So consensus is that all 3 are excellent. (Although the audience score also goes down to 88% for season 3, so it seems like it's the least excellent so far.)

Canucks were in on Kerfoot too, right to the end.

Fargo, Season 1 - 9/10 Truly exceptional story. Had the kinds of twists and turns that pure fiction could never get away with. Truth definitely is stranger... Episodes 2-5 dragged a bit at times, but 6-10 were some of the best TV I've ever seen.
