  1. That's far more reasonable. ...You hipster douches aren't so bad after all...
  2. When Shomi was around, I meant to give that a run, but never got into it. If it ends up back on Netflix, I'll definitely give it a watch.
  3. I'm in the middle of season 2. It's a bit slow at times, but overall, I think I like it even more than Breaking Bad.
  4. The first 2 hours of that movie are great. Unfortunately, the last 30 minutes was beyond terrible...completely ruined it for me.
  5. The interview is almost as good as the song...
  6. /\ Yeah, the Sherlock Holmes movie was pretty bad. Sequel was better, but only marginally. And they look even worse when compared against BBC's Sherlock series.
  7. The recent comments about not having the same Season Pass DLC setup for the sequel is great news. There were some fantastic levels/ideas released in the DLC for the first one, but after the first month or so it was impossible finding a good game, since only people who had the DLC were playing them. So I just stay in the regular level rotation, even though it would be so much better if they would have incorporated some of the new levels in the rotation.
  8. It's probably going to be another 6 months or so before it comes out. However, I played the crap out of the first one, so I'll be buying it right away. Bit of nostalgia for me too, as I also played the crap out of the original PS2 games back in the day...
  9. I like Star Wars: Battlefront. It's not considered in the same gaming league as COD or Battlefront. However, the Star Wars theme, the less competitive opponents, and the general silliness of some battles is right in my wheelhouse.
  10. Slightly better for him, significantly worse for Demko, Virtanen, Subban, et al...
  11. I know. But if we hadn't kept him up for meaningless games, perhaps our prospects would be playing meaningful playoff games now. Just sayin...
  12. It's a good thing they waited to send him down...
  13. At 19, Tkachuk is signficantly more skilled and obnoxious than Marchand was at the same age. Not saying it's a sure thing that he'll get as good as Marchand is now, but the potential is definitely there.
  14. Star Trek Beyond - 5/10 This should have been a much better movie. It had some really funny 1-liners. A fantastic actor to play a villain with an interesting back-story. The action scenes were very well done. But all of it was wasted on terrible writing. There was no real character development, and no real insight into why everyone was doing what they were doing. They just skimmed the surface of plot development to get to the next action sequence. And yet, despite that, there were long sequences where nothing much was happening. So it didn't even make for an above-average action movie either.
  15. Then you get the "assuming 100% success rate" problem (already mentioned).
  16. Horvat and Gudbranson are prospects??? (Not to mention Baertschi and Granlund...)
  17. Sharp is a UFA this summer. Dallas will be landing Marc-Andre Fleury this offseason - book it.
  18. All 3 of the top Russian prospect goalies look great, but lots of other concerns come with them. Will they come to NA? (Islanders have been trying to bring over Sorokin.) Will they adapt to the North American game? Will they hold the threat of bolting back to the K if they don't get the contract they want? Will their year-to-year play be wildly inconsistent? (see: Varlamov, Bobrovsky) Based on what I've seen/read/heard, I'd rate Samsonov the highest for pure skill. But because of the above, I'd probably rather have Demko than any of them. Guess we'll find out eventually.
  19. Or, we throw him a bone here, so he doesn't decide NOT to sign and then take advantage of his option to go UFA next summer...?
