  1. Beeswax - Nirvana Looove early Nirvana.
  2. If Looks Could Kill - Heart Classic "girl power" song. What's my iPod going to come up with next?... Always Happens Like That - Kaiser Chiefs One of the better songs from their new album, but still it is a major disappointment. Their debut album, "Employment" was fantastic, but they've been getting steadily worse since.
  3. Spoon's "Kill The Moonlight" album. I just finished it, and decided to go through it again because it is so stinkin good.
  4. The new Doves album: Kingdom of Rust I'm not a huge fan of theirs, but this is a pretty sweet disc. It sort of sounds like a cross between Pulp and the Stone Roses.
  5. Romantic Rights - Death From Above 1979
  6. Let's Pretend We're Bunny Rabbits - The Magnetic Fields
  7. Fight Test - Flaming Lips ...just ended let's see what's next on shuffle... San Quentin (live) - Johnny Cash Love Johnny's intro: "...I think I understand a little bit how you feel about some things, it's none of my business how you feel about some other things, and I don't give a dam how you feel about some other things..."
  8. This Mess We're In - PJ Harvey (w/Thom Yorke) What a killer song...haven't heard it in ages. I've been leaving my 60 gigs of music on shuffle a lot lately, and am loving it. A lot of stuff I haven't been putting on the last while has been coming up, like Dylan and Cohen. ...oh wait, now it's Mr. Moustache - Nirvana. Sweet! Haven't heard anything from Bleach in months.
  9. Fly Trapped In a Jar - Modest Mouse Did you know that one wing isn't enough to live?
  10. The new U2 album - No Line On The Horizon. Definitely better than their last couple albums. Rolling Stone gave it 5 stars, and said it was their best since "Achtung Baby", but I'm not that captured...yet.
  11. Yeah, it just grooves along nicely. After I finished the last song, I just started it over again (I pretty much have my iPod on all day at my job). I'm now onto Deerhunter's "Microcastle" - heard it?
  12. Mark Lanegan's album "Bubblegum". Every single track is killer.
  13. The new Band Of Horses album. Pretty darn good...
  14. The National - Mistaken For Strangers Boxer = #1 album of 2007 for me...
  15. TV On The Radio's "Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes" album. Just finished "Young Liars" 20 mins ago, and will be progressing to "...Cookie Mountain" next.
  16. The Rapture - Pieces of the people we love
  17. Right this moment? The "Stage Names" album by Okkervil River. Before this? Went through the entire 3-disc "Orphans" by Tom Waits. Man, I LOVE having a job where I can wear headphones all day...
  18. I as well - even at the worst of times I knew that even if he was only a 5G, 10A player, that his defensive strengths and incredible work ethic would guarantee him at least a 4th line role. But even in his worst season (2006-07), he had so many goals called back, and the ones he did score were works of art! I knew he had more offensive talent in him.
  19. The best part of this thread are the noobs who post only after Burrows scores, and say, "Of course we want him! Did you see him score last game?!?!?!" I'd like to go back and see what they were saying the last couple of seasons.
  20. I've loved Burrows from his first game. My only concern over whether he'd stick that first year was his skating - he was always falling down! It was like he thought he was still playing ball hockey! But every month he seems to get better and better, and his skating is definitely no longer an issue. (Him being able to protect the puck while fighting off the check of Hossa and STILL deliver the breakout pass was amazing.) I say sign him now for 2 mil/4 years before he gets to the point where he can demand over 3...because at this rate it won't be long...
