Actually Dr. Henry.

I would not worry about the increase in numbers. Obviously more testing is one reason. We started about a month and half ago where I am to hit record highs of infection (people started to freak out again) but that has now stabilized and of course deaths and hospitalizations for Covid have always been stable. Here it seems even the media is losing interest in making daily infections their top story.

Canucks are losing so watch out! The research on kids is pretty clear. They don't transmit the way adults do. Overwhelmingly, adults infect children and not vice versa. Few researchers dispute this.

Not a source but a real police officer/human Hmm what does this mean below? The use of deadly force by law enforcement is also lawful when used to prevent the escape of a fleeing felon when the officer believes escape would pose a significant threat of serious bodily injury or death to members of the public. As well what about non-deadly force. That is what he was talking about. A Baton to the knee or similar areas to the body is not lethal force. Non-deadly force means force not likely to cause death or great bodily harm. You would be justified in using non-deadly force against another if the following two facts are proved (1) you reasonably believed that such conduct was necessary to defend yourself or another against your attacker’s imminent use of unlawful force and (2) the use of unlawful force by your attacker must have appeared to be ready to take place. These are some examples of when you would be justified in using non-deadly force: Your attacker was trespassing or otherwise wrongfully interfering with your land or personal property. The land or personal property was lawfully in your possession, or in the possession of a member of your immediate family or household, or in the possession of someone else who was under a legal duty to protect it. You must have reasonably believed that the use of force was necessary to prevent or terminate the other person’s wrongful behavior.

I think we are talking past each other. What he said, (had lunch yesterday with him). If you scroll back you will see what police he is - US. What he said is they are trained not to allow/permit a suspect to turn his/her back on them or for example get back into a car - it is dangerous to police safety. In those situations they are allowed to use force to remedy the problem. He saw the video. He said they could use force and a gun would be a last resort but what he saw in the video he didn't understand the use of the firearm. He thought poor training. He said he has been in similar situations with uncooperative suspects and they generally use batons if force is needed. So what I got out of it was force if required and a firearm is usable in an extreme case. As I said he didn't understand the use of the firearm at that stage. And especially the 7 shots.

My mate is US Navy police (african american). He saw the video and said first thing cops know is don't let the suspect turn his back on you and definitely don't let them go back into a car. He said at that point you gotta stop it. Shooting is the very very last resort. He told me in that situation they are trained to use clubs - even a hard whack on the knee area is going to drop you. He said he thinks poor training. Those cops in that state get about 22 bucks an hour.

Ouch! Yes, forget about that. Another dodgy contract.

I don't watch CNN But see this breakdown of groups shot by police. https://www.statista.com/statistics/585152/people-shot-to-death-by-us-police-by-race/ But there is also this from the same data https://www.statista.com/statistics/1123070/police-shootings-rate-ethnicity-us/ Again has it been determined that this cop was a gun happy racist out to get black people?
