kinda felt like the Nashville game where their team played better than ours but our goalie played better than theirs.. nice to see the 5 goals, but i didn't notice our top 2 lines much all game except for the PP goal and a couple of chance here and there. easily could have gone the other way if Nilsson played better in net, not gonna complain much as they are still tired.. get some rest and on to the next -

blah blah blah everytime we lose it's someone elses fault.. what about the fact that we don't score more than 2 freakin goals? how many losses so far this year coz we can't score more than 2 goals? hard to win if your goalie is expected to give up 1 goal or less a game. the penalties did not prevent the canucks from scoring more than 2 goals a game. i didn't watch the tonight but we need more contribution from our top line if we are going to have a chance to win.. more often than not we ain't going to see secondary scoring like the previous games from our other lines. -

great game for our 2nd line and nice to see our streaky players showed up for tonights game when our top line didn't get on the score sheet.. and nice to see we didn't go full turtle mode in the 3rd period for a change -

end of a road trip against oh just the top 2 leading scorers in the league that's almost avging 2 points a game each.. with the way we've been giving up goals and not showing up the first 20 mins of the game and sitting back if we have the lead? prolly get blown out both games. hope i'm wrong but it is the end of a long road trip with lots of travel. -
Let's all take a step back and look how far the team has come along.

I don't really see how big this team improved on years past. We are around the same in terms of goals scored to date in previous years and its only coz we had a few 5+ goals games.. we either score in bunches in thr same game.. or we dont score st all.. We are going thru the same exact November free fall of years past. We are going thru the same with injury prone players being on the shelf.. just a matter of time before tanev and edler joins them. Secondary scoring is still non existent, defense scoring is non existent minus Hughes. -

i can understand green is still a rookie coach.. but i don't understand whats with the stubborness of benching player and try to sit on a lead? in his 2.25 years tenure in vancouver.. he still haven't learned in this age you can't just bench ur players and sit on a lead.. i have no issues with the team putting their foot on the gas and lose the game.. i have issue with playing great and all of a sudden decides to change the style of play and get destroyed. -
Draistl and malkin produces by themselves even without the top tier player just saying
-
Um malkin carried the team to the first couple stanley cup.. and malkin doesnt play along side crosby most of the time.. maybe the power play
-
So eer wheres malkin on that list? He entered the league as a 20 year old finished with 85 points and the next year 106 and then 113? And hes not even a generational talent
-
Lol point production in ur first couple season doesnt define whether or not you are generational.. malkin meets all your criteria.. yet hes only regarded as a franchise player.. rarely mentioned as a generational talent..

Disappearing whenever they win? Right.. I gave them credits when they had a hard fought good win. Those are few and far. I've been critical of the teams makeup and strategy for years now. While every "fan" is all giddy up and delusional that we are better than our current record indicated this year and last year and blame injuries every season. Secondary scoring doesnt exist on this team and it never existed for 4-5 years now hence we finished near bottom of the league in scoring. We keep talking about improvement on offense.. ferland and miller solidifies our top 6.. yet we scored less goals than last year at the same point even with a bunch of 5-6 goals game. At least last year we can say the team played hard for 60mins.. so far and especially the last couple weeks? The effort isn't even there for 60 mins. Also why are you stalking me? You feel like quoting me out of the blues and then follow me around to look up every single one of my post to see if I disappear during wins? Lol -

So in order to be a Canucks fan I need to sugar coat the way the team plays and find excuse for every lost and keep telling myself this team is better than it really is? This teams record against team competing for the playoff is atrocious. Scoring against decent teams is non existent and yet we want to talk about how this team is actually good and better than their record indicate recently. -
lol EP is a great superstar.. generational talent? homerism much? draisaitl is on pace for 150 points this season and he's not even considered a generational talent lol. while we are bragging we won the 2017 draft with EP.. Colorado would like to beg to differ.. If anything Cale Makar is closer to a generational talent than EP.. more than a PPG as a rookie defenseman? that's unheard of.. since 2000 there's only 4 players that averaged 1 point per game as a defencemen and he's on pace to avg more than that as a rookie

lol so far 3 of the 4 games on this road trip we were outplayed badly... if it werent for Rinne and markstrom we could easily be 0-4 on this trip lol -

nice we got the win but we were lucky to get the win.. we still need to work on not falling asleep to start the game.. and we need to play much better 5v5.. if it weren't for Rinne playing for the canucks tonight.. easily coulda been another lost.. good thing Markstrom found his game at the right time to break the slump -

ah another game we come out flat lol starting to look like the leafs lol -
oh and we went on to bash gillis non stop about trading Schneider instead of Luongo who played as much as Schneider did in the same period since traded.. he had like 2-3 great seasons with the Devils and then injury and never recovered.. imagine trading Luongo at that time for a bag of pucks which was what majority of CDC wanted.. then we wouldn't even have Horvat and probably markstrom.. but i guess we'd prolly had a bigger chance at the lottery?

Pk been good.. but the pp is inflated by plenty of goals against the bottom feeders. If u look at it games vs decent teams our pp looks horrible.. even the last game even though we scored 2.. our top unit looks terrible.. I blame coaching since last 4-5 years our record vs backup goalies/fringe starter is horrific.. I dont think I'm wrong in saying worst in the league.. double digits in shutout against and a 80%+ losing rate.. I think that's got to do with coaching being lazy and not watching films on their other goalie.. when other teams are lighting those goalies up night after night like a xmas tree and we make them all look like Brodeur.. that's concerning

tbh the easy schedule against bottom feeders pumped this team up way higher than where they really are.. the powerplay is dominant against the bottom feeders.. against good decent teams.. they look horrendous.. they have a great record against bottom feeder teams but their records against teams competing for playoff spot is actually pretty horrendous.. hopefully we get more consistent secondary scoring.. or the weight of carrying the offense by EP will wear him down as we get down to the stretch run -

how did they earn a tie? that 3rd goal the entire team is like looking to the player that just got hit in the head and trying to get the ref to stop the bloody play lol.. that 3rd goal never even should have happened.. -

no but with all the concussion lawsuit in all sports.. any contact to the head whether it's illegal check taking a puck to the head etc etc all should be instantly stopped.. sure people might fake it.. but league should be reviewing anyways.. if players are found to be embellishing maybe suspend them for a game or something.. for the sake of players well being.. rather take it seriously then just oh i don't think he's really hurt.. only to find out he's like covered in blood -

lol play should have been blown dead.... this is way different from an injury like blocking a shot in the shin or falling awkwardly or getting his bell rung.. so no the play should have been stopped period.... if the puck hits a guy in the head standing up... 9/10 times the play instantly stops... this guy took a wrist shot close range off the side of his head and is clearly bleeding and hurt.. how can you let the play go on? so what if they pass the puck to the point and the guy takes a slapshot and hit the guy again? not likely but what if? you might end up with a guy suffering life threatening injury taking multiple shots off the head.. the rule should at least be changed to referee discretion when it comes to plays like this.. not oh we keep playing till the other team have possession of the puck.. so what? if the canucks control play for the next 2 mins we just going to leave him continue bleeding on the ice?
