  1. damn imagine still being quote by a guy that i've muted for months literally every couple days every once in a while i'll see an option you have muted this post and click on it load and behold it's the guy that loves to hug my nuts quoting me. at least it's still entertaining seeing the guy that can't let go just like some canucks fans
  2. the new and better beau with 3 points in 12 games? lol he's literally turning back into the old beau with less and less playing time.. and raty have a long way to go before he even becomes a regular let alone better center.
  3. Cool miller played center last season and got 99 points so why wasn’t he playing center the 1st half of the season? Miller moved back after tocchet and have been great that I agree but he’s been reverting back the last couple games. If he plays like he’s been mostly under tocchet sure he would be a great 2c. Problem is in 2-3 years he would be more than likely a 3c. So 7mil 3c vs 8mil 3c plenty of players falls off after 30-31 his production is more likely than not falls into a 3c in 2-3 years when the team is actually competitive. So the point is moot we’d either have a 3c in Horvat for 7 mil if he signs or 3c in miller for 8mil. I don’t hate miller and I love his game if he cut out his antics and play like this every game and have no issue with Horvat leaving. But reality is this team ain’t going to be relevant the next 2 years likely what’s left of a peak miller. They gonna spend this entire off season trying to unload cap and they simply have way too many holes to fill in the lineup to be anything more than a playoff hopeful the next 2 years. And then after that miller will likely no longer be peak. Frankly I don’t like millers game if he’s a 3c in couple years because he’s rarely the first forward back supporting the defence and usually the first guy out of the zone.
  4. 7x7 was very fair if that was in the summer. But with the season he was having? Easily should have been 7x8 but they wouldn’t go there. He’s 2 years younger than miller. So why wouldn’t he get the extra year? And prolly didn’t offer the trade protection he wanted either. He was never the 3c in Vancouver. He’s always been the 2c we didn’t have a 3c coz miller wasn’t capable of playing center for the first half of the season. Last year ep was the 3c. In prior years ep and miller was same line again he was the 2c. You guys keep saying he’s a 3c but he never played the 3c in Vancouver as there never was 2 center ahead of him at the same time ever in his tenure in Vancouver. Remains to be seen if miller is and will remain as a center long term. He played well during BB last year.. then came out like crap then started to play well only tocchet but recently started to revert back a little. Remains to be seen if he will/willing to play the way required for the entire season and not just pick and choose
  5. he didn't do anything to deserve a massive raise nor did he do anything to deserve a paycut offer for his prime years when they just signed boeser to 3x 6.75 qualifying offer or not. at the very least should have started with 5.5 what he's making instead of telling him to take a paycut.. RNH was massively overpaid on his previous contract hence the paycut.. and his stats is massively inflated by mcdavid and drasital.. anyone with skill will put up good numbers with those 2 either on powerplay.. or 5v5 with draistal.. horvat have superior goals throughout his career than danault and trochek. in this league they pay you for goals more so than points not much more but still more goals are worth more than points. again not saying horvat is worth anything over 7 before the season started. but negotiation should have started at the beginning of summer at 5.5 and work its way around 6.5.. the 5.125 offer came in september.. not really early on in the summer. there was literally no negotiation in april may july august.
  6. what do you mean that's not true at all?? they intended to bring him back by offering him an insulting offer that's equivalent to a paycut while offering boeser 6.75 and miller 8? and the mihkayev almost 5? they literally have 0 intention of bringing him back unless he was going to accept a bargain bin deal. they prolly set the max cap for horvat at 6mil and not a penny more and only increased it because of the start he had and how badly miller started the first 1/3 of the season so they had thoughts maybe they'll deal miller if they can get horvat signed to 7mil or under. i still believe he would have signed for 6.5 early in the summer. which is fine for a 2c.. and if his production drops off in the duration of the contract.. he will still be an effective 3c vs miller who's great right now producing at a ppg.. but if his play drops off to a 3c.. i rather have horvat at 6.5mil as a 3c.. then miller at 8mil as a 3c with his jekly and hyde play defensively
  7. lol tavares left isles via free agency and left the team hanging with no compensation. horvat was dumped out of vancouver and actually gotten compensation back.. and yes he was dumped out because the management probably never had any intention of bringing horvat back to begin with thru the summer.. and then saw how he was doing in the first half of the season then thought ok maybe we should bring him back if we offer him what we shoulda offered in the summer. completely different scenario. of coz there's no negative chant about bo at the rogers arena itself. the people that go to the games are corporate suits that don't even care enough about the game.. i'm a season ticket holder.. and i can say our fans are relatively subdue and quiet compared to other teams.. and it has been like that for years... i don't recall a player that wanted to sign with the team and was traded and the fan base at least the ones on the forum continually wish him crash and burn or calling him trash non stop since the trade. literally everyday since the trade you'll find a post about him either sucking, useless, trash, greedy, overrated, soft, worse captain in the history etc etc.
  8. lol just coz he said better than vancouver doesn't even mean anything.. so because he said better than vancouver = he's calling vancouver fan trash? it could simply means vancouver fan was great.. but this is even better in terms of atmosphere coz it's a playoff atmosphere something he never experienced in vancouver... i have no issues with that and i don't view it classless. vancouver fans are easily offended.
  9. so are you saying we are classless then coz we are still taking shots at him after he's traded and have nothing to do with the team in any way shape or form. not everyone but a good chunk
  10. lol nathan mackinnon teammate loves him coz he backs it up by not taking a shift off ever.. Miller? ya no.. have any of them ever even have a glimpse of rumor regarding whether or not their teammate loves them? dont think so.. Mackinnon Doughty Kucherov Boston etc are all a holes towards other teams.. Miller on occasion is ahole towards other teams and his own teammates big difference. and on what planet is Miller a secondary player? this one? with the game on the line and needing a goal.. pretty sure it's EP out there with his line and not Miller unless they pull the goalie and stack the lines. Miller right now can be argued is still a primary player.. but will he be 2 years from now? prolly not? is he paid 8mil? yes will he be a secondary player 2-3 years down the line? more than likely? unless you think this team is winning the cup next season or 2 then ya like u said we won't be winning a cup if we are paying secondary players 8+ million.
  11. sure but he's comparing the fan involvement/excitment and he ain't wrong. there was 0 fan involvement/excitement throughout his tenure in vancouver. the team sucked every year and fans dont give af other than whats going on at TDL/draft/free agency.. the only time that we were decent was during the bubble with 0 fan involvement/excitement.. and during games against some opponents.. the visiting teams fan almost out number the home team and definitely louder too.
  12. lol he's not wrong.. canucks fans are toxic with many here flaming him refusing to take contract below market making all the comparison calling him trash etc etc and wishing him crash and burn when he's traded to islanders so they can get a better draft pick and still continues to call him trash after he's traded and the draftpick no longer in play. so many here are so attached to a player that's no longer on the team and continue to flame and spew negative crap about him.
  13. there was no rumors to be 7 during the summer prior to the signing of Miller. i would have bet he would be signed for around 6.5 if management didn't bother to have no contract negotiation with horvat the entire summer until after Miller was signed and then started the negotiation by asking him to take a pay cut. if it was between Horvat at 6.5 or miller at 8 i would have taken horvat at 6.5 not because he's the better player.. but he's the better fit player on this team. Miller is a great player when he wants to be, but his antic on the ice when things doesn't go his way rubs a lot of people the wrong way including his teammates and long term a 2c at 6.5mil is better than a 2c at 8mil.. assuming our competition window is in 2-4 years.. Miller is pretty much guaranteed he won't be a PPG by then.. small chance he might be but i'm willing to bet he's not.. most players at 31+ declines.. you guys will always point out the exceptions.. but odds are Miller is not an exception. if you don't pay secondary more than 7mil a year and hope to be successful then why did we pay Miller 8mil? coz he's definitely not the primary player now with EP being the guy.. and he definitely won't be a primary player 3 years from now.
  14. lol they won't be moving Miller.. JR won't be around long enough to care about this teams long term plan.. you got rid of horvat.. getting rid of miller boeser and or garland?? so what are you replacing almost 250 points with? it was always either horvat or Miller.. and once Horvat is gone there's no way they move miller.. they only considered coz he was literally trash the first 3rd of the season.
  15. what makes you think OEL will waive his NTC to go anywhere?? if he was only willing to waive for vancouver and boston last time and preferred to stay in the hell hole in arizona than go to another other team besides those 2?
  16. hey ur criteria didn't say have to be retired! only said greatest to never win one i predict he'll never win one.. it's simply too hard in the salary cap era to win when you are the highest paid player in the league.. if he take paycuts like brady did in NE.. he prolly could have a few.
  17. and your point is? if we still had toffoli i'm pretty sure we never would have gone out and got garland.. and maybe we wouldn't do the OEL deal. i'm also pretty sure i said 25-30 goal scorer not a 30 goal scorer. he was at 30 goal or slightly higher pace 3 out of his last 4 years. we missed out as in we could have kept toffoli and not have garland on the team or they wouldn't have felt the need to re-sign boeser. so yes we did miss out.
  18. I take a consistent 25-30 goal scorer.. on a 4.25 cap hit any time any day any where.. I don’t care if he’s streaky or if he isn’t a play driver.. not everyone have to be a play driver. You just need 1 per line and couple complimentary players. He has more goals than boeser and garland combined and not even 40% of their total cap hit
  19. Why is QH playing 30+ mins in meaningless games? Are we trying to get him injured by overplaying him? If we were hunting for a playoff spot ok sure.. I don’t get it..
  20. i really dont get all the hates for russian nationality players that refuse to wear the pride jersey.. for some it might be religion.. for others well if they go back to russia you know where all their families are.. they could be subjected to prosecution?? unlikely? yes but still the possibility.. just because you are not in the country.. doesn't mean the law doesn't apply to you.. just like weed is legal here.. doesn't mean you can travel elsewhere and smoke them just because it's legal where you are from.. it's like the trump supporters.. i don't support them.. but doesn't mean i hate them or are against them.. not everything have to be either support or against.. people can be neutral or indifferent about them... like why are people forcing others who may be neutral and want to stay neutral to pick a side and really in this case they don't even get to pick.. it's either you support or be flamed and harassed.
  21. like i said in the other thread player development probably plays a huge part into choosing where he'll sign and i used nashville as an example of pumping out talents out of the farm system... some guy was busy arguing with me that won't be a factor.. funny he ended up signing with nashville.. nashville have a great history of developing talents in their farm system.. if livingstone doesn't have what it takes to stick in the NHL off the hop.. his chance of getting developed in the AHL and possibly making it to the NHL is 10 folds higher than Vancouver who have a history of unable to develop any NHL regulars from their farm system.. outside of goalies which is a completely different animal from forwards or defenceman.
  22. playing more PP than he ever did in detroit?? you know his PP mins was skewed when they put him on PP1 with QH right to test.. they are going right back to their 4 forward 1 defence so where's he going to get his pp mins from? we are playing and deploying him like a defensive defenceman against other teams top player. i expect him to be a -15 to -20 player by the end of the season next year. hronek took over detroits PP1 this season. regardless of what his pp time is.. he was playing on the top pp unit of detroit.. is he going to get that opportunity to play with the EP/Miller/Kuzmenko here? no he's going to get the garlands dries beau.. great opportunity there.
  23. lol how is it identical? Hronek gets more offensive opportunity and he over took seider as pp1 for parts of the season.. hronek was detroits top pairing for a while this season while seider struggled.. he will never get the offensive opportunity he got in detroit.. not even close.
  24. you act like his team isn't bad.. the fact that he's only -16 on that team when his forwards are even worse speaks a lot.. meier is -28 hertl is -19 couture is -22 while being on the 4th worse goals differential team in the league
