  1. 2 marquee American star player ditching Canadian city to go back home. When was the last time an American star player signs long term and wants to play in a Canadian city? Good odds this will factor into miller and good chance he ditch despite saying otherwise
  2. I was so sad at that time lol i wasn’t expecting tkatchuk to be here long term but expected him to be good and we can get a massive haul for him when it’s time to rid him
  3. Lol at least Calgary will get a haul for tkatchuk vs what we got for juolevi lol
  4. lol dubois showed up at the draft in montreal expected to be traded to montreal on draft day but montreal refuse to give up probably suzuki now he gets to rot for 2 more years in winnipeg XD
  5. at least any teams trading for Miller doesn't know he will flat out say no to re-signing with them and have a chance of re-signing him. so there'll be 2 types of team chasing after miller teams that are not exactly a cup contender but would like to sign miller to help push them into the next stage.. and then there's the team that straight up looking for a pure playoff rental with no intent on re-signing him. in PLD's case.. only teams interested at making a cup push would consider making a move for him at the TDL.. the choices and teams becomes quite limited.. vs before when probably most teams in the league would be interested if PLD was available. Play PLD in a 3rd line.. play him in defensive situations tank his value next season and take him to arbitration in the summer so he gets a much lower contract than his QO.. then trade him as a rental and get whatever u can get. Winnipeg is coming out of this mess created by PLD as a loser no matter what. might as well drag that entitled brat thru the mud with them. honestly i don't think there's anything wrong in jets land.. it's just where they are located.. all the NHLers are millionaires.. who wants to live in the middle of no where that's extremely cold in the winter and hot in the summer and lots of mosquitos. when there are so many options for NHL players.. Winnipeg is prolly near last in most desireable NHL city to play/live in. i'm not even sure if they have much choices in terms of food and high end restaurants to eat at even if they have money to spend.. was reading up couple years ago lol kegs is like in their top 10 best place to eat in winnipeg.
  6. lol any GM that gives up good asset for PLD to gamble he'll change his mind shouldn't be a GM.. it's pretty clear PLD only cares about money and where he plays.. not so much about winning or being competitive.. don't care what any of you think.. montreal ain't going anywhere anytime soon.. Defenseman and goalie don't grow on trees they have neither in their farm that u can say will be the next carey price or weber unless the cost for PLD is peanuts.. no team should be trading any asset worthwhile... or at the TDL when u are on ur cup run..
  7. honestly there isn't any hence some teams/GM/Owners with balls should put one of those whiny players that comes out and said he doesn't want to be here with a bunch of years left on the rfa permanately on the 4th line.. they can get chump change for arbitration or they can go play in europe till they are 27
  8. that will never fly.. it's basically asking every GM to offer max term contract to every player just to lower the cap and then cut the player as soon as they no longer worth the cap.. teams will literally be throwing out max term contract to every single player regardless of age with no intention of actually paying it out.
  9. most of the teams ahead of us in the spending all have a big LTIR to stick on there. so we'll be near if not at the top. boston vegas philadephia off the top of my head all have a 6mil+ to stick on ltir only team i can think of that'll probably be more expensive is maybe colorado? but i think they want to move erik johnson? not sure so when all said and done we'll be way too expensive on the backend unless that backend can give us some elite level offense contribution to off set the lack of cap space available for forwards.
  10. hence i was making the extreme case someone needs to make an example out of these self entitled kids i want to play here i want to play there i don't like ur city i don't like this coach i don't like that player blah blah blah. u don't like any of those no problem just shut up and play till the end of ur rfa then u can go ahead and do whatever the hell u want.
  11. sure but how often have you seen RFA coming out publicly well before they are UFA saying i have no intention of signing/playing here?
  12. so we want to instead of spending 6mil on a 2nd pairing.. we want to spend 7.5+ for a 2nd pairing defenseman? and say K Miller prolly gonna be in the 3-4 mil range on a bridge 7. based on ur projected defensive pairings.. you want to spend 31-32mil on defense alone? that's 1 hell of an expensive defense with schenn being in the top 4 hoping he can continue to be great for us. after all the teams done with LTIR and stuff.. we are probably #1 in the league for most expensive defense on the active roster by a fair bit.. leaving no cap space at all for the forwards
  13. maybe but it's not his first time wanting out of a city in 5 years.. there's always something to complain about with this guy
  14. no they can let the management know there's 0 need to make it public he wasn't interested in re-signing with them or any other team beside montreal... then they can trade him to another team to recoup asset. right now? winnipeg will get no value out of PLD in a trade until maybe 2 years from now at the TDL. sure there's probably worst diva behaviour in the NHL. but for a young RFA with no rights to be publicly tempering ruining his trade value... so what's next for all the RFA? we going to see more and more about RFA coming out a year or 2 playing in the NHL saying i have no desire to play for this team long term and i want to be in so and so city? so better trade me now?
  15. No s*** genius of coz they won’t. Their gm doesn’t have the balls to do it. It’s not for punishing a player not wanting to sign beyond 2 years. It’s to punish a player deliberately sabotaging his trade value by leaking to the media his plans. This isn’t a Ryan Kesler with a NTC saying he wanted to go to Anaheim only. This is a player with no rights saying to every team in the league u can trade for me but I ain’t gonna re-sign with u pretty much backing every team and their offers off. And Montreal can literally offer junks for him. If PLD didn’t say anything? Montreal prolly coulda gotten a 1st and maybe a Suzuki for him. Now? Lucky if Montreal even offers a 2nd and all their C D prospects.
  16. Lol Winnipeg have 0 chance in attracting ufa regardless no one wants to live there. sure it’s childish but these entitled diva needs to learn to stfu and even if they have no plans on staying keep ur trap shut. PLD basically just cost Winnipeg any chance of recouping any asset back. Montreal ain’t gonna give them anything of significance if they make a move for him. He literally set the franchise back for years. Who’s to say he won’t play like crap next season just to expedite a trade? He certainly wouldn’t care. Coz he will have a qualifying offer. And if they don’t qualify him he can get to Montreal sooner. Certainly wouldn’t put it past his character to pull stupid crap like that off.
  17. Lol he’s sabotaging his team by literally using his agent to leak out he wants to play in Montreal and have no plans on signing anything long term either going to ufa or u can get whatever bread crumbs u can get now and move me to Montreal. What’s nhlpa going to do? File a grievance for what? They have every right to not dress or play a player that doesn’t want to be on the team. So do teams get to file grievance when player starts whining and try to force their way on to another team? if he wants to go to Montreal that’s fine. If he have no plans on re-signing. That’s fine.. but he choose to leak it out to the media to sabotage his trade value. just like all the ppl in Vancouver wanted PLD.. after all the crap that’s leaked out? Ya no thx
  18. Lol nhlpa can’t do anything you can’t force a team to dress a player they are still paying his salary
  19. how does for sure might hurt the room work? lmao.. so is it 100% for sure he will hurt the room or is it maybe might hurt the room? this team is in no position to lose Miller for nothing... this team literally have no prospect or draft capitals or trade assets to be able to survive a lose miller for nothing scenario.. sure trading miller for prospects and picks doesn't necessary means they'll work out.. but we could flip those propsects and picks to another team to get something we actually need/want?? teams that loses their star player for nothing are usually teams that are all in for the cup.. calgary this year.. columbus couple years ago.. Columbus went into a rebuild with nothing.. Calgary will probably need to retool and they have nothing either.. they dont' even have pieces to trade to get a winger for their top line.. and depending how next season goes.. they might end up going back into a rebuild if MT goes.. canucks are literally in the same boat.. if they lose miller for nothing... they literally have nothing of value to trade for pieces they actually need for a retool for the 2-3 year from now window..
  20. lol PLD basically sabaotage his trade value for the jets as any team that wants him knows he 100% won't re-sign with them... if i'm the jets.. i offer him his qualifying offer sit his ass in the press box for the next 2 years to tank his development and screw his next contract lol.. or he can go kick rock in europe till he hits UFA
  21. why would it be wreckless?? he build a home for his wife to live in as obviously his wife doesn't want to move.. he have 1 year left on his current contract i doubt he cares if he gets traded or not close or far from from PA.. it's his next contract that matters..
  22. Lmao then just blow up the team and rebuild then if that’s ur take. Miller on most team that he’s being proposed to ain’t even going to be the top line center for that team.
  23. i literally said miller can sign a 6 year deal to offset the 1 year difference and he will get his 8.5-9mil. i honestly don't care what miller does next year i want him moved right now when his value probably at his peak. if he declines we won't get as much if he's injured we won't get as much if he does well and we are in the playoff spot we'll probably not move him and get nothing as he'll be too expensive to re-sign.
  24. first off when gaudreau starts his contract he's going to be 29.. just like when miller starts his contract he's going to be 30.. so when they sign the contract is irrelevant.. if miller signs his contract anytime before march then u can say oh he's 29 when he signed his contract. so it's funny u keep saying gaudreau is 28 years old 7 year contract while miller is 30 year old 7 year contract when really the difference is 5 months and when their birthday is.. if Gaudreau birthday is in may or june instead then he's 29 signing a 7 year contract vs 30.. no one is saying Miller will get 9.75 or even 10+ if calgary was offering 10.5x8 to gaudreau.. Miller will be worth at least 9. no one cares about a guy coming off a career year or not they look at their recent production.. so what part of forsberg is worth his 8.5 then? again forsberg will be 2 years younger but by the start of his contract he's 28. he have been injury prone missing 10-20 games a season for 5+ seasons now.. never really a PPG guy and had a career season this year signed at 8.5x8.. so Miller is worse than forsberg and will get 7.5x6? Miller will get his 9mil in the market and factor in the age difference will prolly be aiming at a 6-7 year and he will probably get it too. star players producing in elite level coming off career years always gets paid in this league. forsberg had a career year i can say he's highly unlikely to repeat either.. he's sub ppg guy his entire career.. he still got 8.5mil
  25. lol gaudreau getting 9.75x7 being the same age.. miller will sign for more than 2mil less? i think you guys need to just accept Miller's next contract assuming he keeps up his play will start at 8.5+ just a matter wether it's 6 or 7 years. if Miller have an off season.. i see 0 chance he re-sign in vancouver.. the team that will end up costing him millions on his final contract by not offering the extension he wanted in the summer or trading him to another team where he could theoretically re-sign this summer where his value is at peak. if he re-signs this off season whether vancouver or to a team traded.. he'll likely be commanding 8.5+.. imagine if he have an off season where he finish in the mid 70s range for points.. he'll prolly end up with a contract closer to the 7mil or heck he might have to go the taylor hall route and take a 1 year contract to hopefully bring up his value again only to sign for even less the following year ala hall.. would you re-sign with the team that cost you millions? i sure wouldn't.
