  1. I haven't heard someone be so consumed and focused on age since I was back in grade school. I figured adults would focus more on your quality of character and maturity and not just the year you were born. Clearly, not everyone can do that.
  2. He played a great game. If putting the points aside, he looked awesome. Skated well, made smart plays at both ends of the ice, and was surprisingly physical. Looks like he has a lot of good hockey left in him. Not putting to much into 1 preseason game, but here's hoping.
  3. I wouldn't say that's problem solved. Miller as a middle 6 C gives the Canucks a fantastic backbone. Miller as our number 1 is not where the Canucks need to be imo. I really like Miller, but I do not think he is qualified to be a 1C on a team pushing for the playoffs.
  4. OEL out there looking like a brand new man! Fingers crossed this is a sign of things to come because he looked fantastic tonight. I legitimately didn't know he played with that kind of physicality. He looked strangely reminiscent of Eagle back there.
  5. Yeah I really liked his game tonight. If that's what Tucker brings to the party everynight then I'm AOK with that signing.
  6. There's a joke somewhere around the lyrics of ignition here but I'm gonna leave it be. This guys a scum bag and I hope he has a terrible time in the big house.
  7. The poster last page was even arguing .03% not even a .3% My lord the ignorance.
  8. I only have one little plant, but it's buds are looking pretty good right now. When's time to harvest? Any advice on how to do so and when. My neighbor who gave me the plant is away at work for another little bit so figured I'd ask here.
  9. That is entirely incorrect. Your post is the perfect example how some people are so self righteous, selfish and entirely idiotic that they would try to use a statistic that leaves over four and a half million people dead as their 'ha ha' statement even when they have no idea what they are talking about.
  10. Unbelievable. People will spend a couple hours making a sign, proudly declaring they will let their families die completely unnecessarily. I would do anything to protect my family. I'd gladly give my own life for theirs. I can't possibly fathom the self righteous, selfish and entirely idiotic mind set that would allow for this kind of thinking.
  11. All you can do is acknowledged your mistake, accept it, and do better in the future. This one legitimately took me by surprise because I have never heard that word use in that way before to be derogatory. A poster told me it was from a book in the 60s, and admitedly being dyslexic I don't read nearly as much as I would like too.
  12. I thought Silov looked pretty good. Martin looked a bit shaky to me.
  13. Oh damn... I had no idea. I have never heard that before. Better make sure I clean that one up. I would never use that word besides on that one colloquialism but gotta make sure I stop.
  14. I actually don't know about that one, and I definitely know that is a colloquialism I use in conversation. I googled searched it and I couldn't find anything that wasn't in reference to a racoons life span. I'm not sure I entirely follow why it's not about racoons. Is it something to do with racoons being little bandits or trashy? If it's something that can't be said around here feel free to PM me, but I'm sincerly asking because that is something I know I say and would stop if it's not what I think it means. Edit, someone messages me. I had no idea about the alternate definition of that word, had never heard it used that way before.
  15. That's the problem, they currently are one of the greatest threats to society we currently face. The ICUs are filling up and leading to short staff/over worked hospitals with less resources to tend to people with conditions other then covid. Furthermore, due to protests outside hospitals people who shouldn't have died. Doctors couldn't make it to surgery's, and ambulances didn't make it to the hospital. That's a fact, that happened. Unfortunately I can't ignore that and just laugh it off like you suggested.
  16. Proudly. In my line of work I got it quite early in the pandemic. I have to take a form of chemotherapy that acts as an immunosuppressant so it was a bit of an adventure mixing that with the vaccine. But it also felt really good knowing that by me getting it with the drugs I'm on, may help someone who is in an older demographic or maybe as not physically healthy as myself know it's safe and they will be ok.
  17. Yup, I'm sure you know best. I only work in healthcare and have had to take numerous courses over the last couple years to help manage this. But I'm sure your buddy on Facebook's Meme gave you all the information you need.
  18. I don't think Winnipeg ruined his development. Might have been a bit of a rush to get him into the show, but I think that only goes so far. He has a ton of talent, but some guys just aren't built for the NHL. Like a Reid Boucher, some players can absolutely excel at a lesser league but just can't translate that to the next level. I reckon Petan will be like that. He may be able to fill in short term in a top 6 role if injuries hit us, but I don't think he's looking at some big rejuvenation here in Vancouver. He will likely help lead the charge down in Abby, and that's what we signed him for. But hey, I hope I'm wrong!
  19. Because it's not about you, it's about everyone around you. That can be extremely difficult for some to understand.
  20. The difference between people protesting against deep seeded civil Injustice, and not getting a vaccine to protect the others around them and help end a pandemic shouldn't need to be explained to anyone.
