  1. I'd take Kesler vs the Predators over the vast majority of the players in our history. He nearly single handedly dragged us through that round of playoffs. One day I picture Bo doing that for us on our way to a cup.
  2. Only 4 vot a for Ohlund. I guess a legitimate question is, what's the argument for taking Edler over Ohlund? I would have time for the argument that in his prime Eddy was a better offensive player then Ohlund. But those higher point totals could be a result of Eddy being our best offensive option in his prime years for pp time. In Ohlunds prime he had both Jovo and Salo on the team who would be better offensive options. Personally, I'm taking Ohlund 10 time out of 10 over Edler. Ohlund was a force of nature on the team in his prime.
  3. I'm going Nazzy on this one. The Sedins as a pair were some of the most dominate players of their time. But Naslund on his own could change the look of a team better then just one Sedin, imo.
  4. https://youtu.be/WD3rAGXUhNA If anyone hasn't watched this documentary I could not recommend it any more.
  5. I try to creep this thread as little as possible for my mental health. Pleasently suprise to only see one ignored post in the last 5 or 6 pages. I couldn't take any more anti-vax idiots clogging up my favorite place on the internet, so instead of engaging I just stuck them on ignore. Best choice I have made in a long time. My ignore list is exclusively reserved for that kind of stupid now. I'm totally down to talk with people with differing opinions on hockey. But people with differing opinions on humanity, empathy, and respect for fellow humans are another story all together. The vast majority of us are still in this together. It can be difficult with the amount of bad people who have seemingly crawled out of their holes, but the majority of humans are still good. I find myself needing to remind myself of that frequently recently.
  6. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I knew somewhere here people were rhyming with ay.
  7. I don't recall Stone playing for the Canucks. This doesn't add up at all?!
  8. Chychrun was my guy that draft. I don't know if I can stomach another missed draft, but I would definitely be kicking the tires at least.
  9. Crosby. No question. That guy in his prime was a force of nature. He has a much more well rounded game then McDavid and I would much rather him on my team.
  10. For the record, I actually did take the time to read that entire novel. I can't pick out a single talking point in that post that seems worth discussing with you. You seem young, and we have fundamental different views on this subject. You can have your view, and I'm gonna stick with mine.
  11. Forgiveness is earned, what has he done to actually earn the forgiveness? He said the right things to further his career, and did his court mandated punishment. The one place is actually truely mattered was to the victim. According to her, he didn't show remorse and didn't give a proper appolgy. He hasn't yet earned the right for a second chance yet You ranted about the media and celebrity's being the main issue. That's why I hold this kid to a higher standard. By drafting this kid, and putting him in the spotlight before he had earned the right to be there, that's the exact problem. If he would have sat this year and done his time outside the media actually becoming better, then for drafted next year it wouldn't be a problem. Your exact argument you used to justify why kids act like this is exactly why someone in his privileged position needs to be held to a higher standard. I also completely disagree with your assessment of woman's rights being ignored in the media. I honestly think it's shocking you would even say that in today's day and age. We are currently more aware then we have ever been and there is tons of movements and initiatives in place trying to further that awareness.Where in society do I see respect for woman being the primary topic and concern? I don't know, maybe the absolutely massive #metoo movement that was center of attention for months if not over a year all over media? I'm not saying this kid doesn't get a second chance. I'm saying he hasn't done anything yet to earn that second chance. Peticularly when the kid is looking do the barrel of possibly being a multimillion dollar athlete over his career.
  12. After the Habs picking Mailloux in the draft, this is just perfect karma. Love this whole turn of events. Definitely have a new found respect for Carolina after pulling this stunt.
  13. I sincerly hope the victim finds closure and Logan is punished. We can agree on that and move on.
  14. I don't expect anything I say has any possible outcome on him whatsoever. We all make choices daily, and when you make stupid choices you have to deal with the consequences of those choices. I have zero intention on showing any compassion whatsoever to this kid after the choices he made, unless he has proven that he deserves that compassion. What he did was villainous, and according to the victim he hasn't shown any compassion at all to her. You get what you give. If you want to stand on your hill and talk down to me because I think very little of this kid, that's fine by me. I'm entirely comfertable with the stance I'm taking on this subject.
  15. He took pictures of a woman, without her knowledge, preforming a intimate act. Then showed this pictures to his buddies, and when they questioned him also supplied links to identify her directly. He deserves what people are saying about him, and he deserves any further consequences to his future career due to his actions. I fully support calling this kid a tiny-brained whiper of other people's bottoms. If that's promoting hate, then I guess that's just where I stand on the subject.
  16. My dad taught me to respect other people. Hopefully this is enough to teach Mailloux that, since he must have missed that lesson. Not sure what religion has to do with absolutely anything in this conversation? I find it ironic that religious people who preach "my body my rights" as a reason not to take the vaccine, are the same people passing laws to take those rights away for woman in Texas. Am I doing this right?
  17. Well first off he should have never been drafted. That may not be his fault, but there is no way he should have been put into this position in the first place. If he wasn't drafted he could have silently done his time actually trying to become a better person without being in the media eye. He should definitely be suspended by the OHL, like he currently is. So that's a start I guess. I also firmly believe he deserves all the hate he's getting for what he did. I don't feel bad for him in the slightest. I can't believe that I read Bounce on the first page say he "felt bad for the him". That's disgusting, to be honest. So far so good in my opinion. If he applies to be reinstated in January, I hope it's not accepted. Playing professional hockey is a privilege, he has a long way to go to earn that back, in my opinion.
  18. I'm not sure if these is what your asking for, but if you are looking for proof this kid isn't remorseful then Google mailloux victim and read the markerzone article. For whatever reason I can't share the link on my phone right now. But if this the information you're looking for it was very easy to find with only a basic search.
  19. I'm to often disappointed with the number of knuckle heads who will blindly defend someone based off limited knowledge on the subject. I'm equally disgusted with people are the far side who will dismiss someone without the proper information. They are both very problematic. I feel like the people who blindly defend though are just doing it to try to stick it to the 'cancel culture' crew. Which is even worse to me. The same thing happened with Jake. I was vocially one of his biggest supporters over the years. But when allegations started coming out, I cooled quickly. Had some downright disturbing conversations with Patel and a few others around here who were blindly supporting him, seemingly out of pure hatred of the cancel culture mentality (which in equally against) or just to get a rise out of other people. I honestly think some people are defending this little wet fart for the same reasons. Forgiveness is earned, not court mandated. Doing even the minimal amount of basic research on this topic shows us he has done nothing to earn that forgiveness. He has said all the right things for his own future and seemingly ignored the only person in this story that deserves closure.
  20. Totally fair points. Personally I have totally bought in to what JB is selling. It would be a huge blow to the core of we lost Petey. Regardless, I don't foresee thing being an issue regardless.
  21. Not to mention that the victims statement is, she asked for an apology and all she got was a half-assed 2 line text. I could care less if he has said all the right things in front of the media. Those statements only benefit himself and further his own career. The only person that matters in this story in the young woman. Unless more has happened behind the scenes we don't know about, her statement is, he did the absolute bare minimum he could do to try to make amends.
  22. This may be a very unpopular statement, but I take the 4 and run. Petey isn't worth that right now, and I don't think he makes Montreal good enough to be a playoff team. Those 4 first picks could be lotto picks, imo.
