[Report] Alexander Edler to hit free agency
MeanSeanBean replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Ice time likely. I doubt it's about money with Elder, he has made tons and he seems humble. I bet he still wants to play a significant role in a team and the Canucks were letting him know up front it wouldn't be here. -

I hope he finds a good spot somewhere. He has been an absolute warrior for us for many years but if we can't offer him what he needs, I wish him the best of luck elsewhere. Unless it's in Calgary.- 431 replies

Same birthday as my old man. Maybe I should mail him some new fishing lures as well.

[Rumor] Canucks Interested in Tyler Bertuzzi

But you aren't answering the question. I'm asking you if you don't think Boeser was our most consistent player last year, who was? I disagree with you entirely he wasn't good defensively last year. I saw a player who was back checking, playing smart defensively, playing the body when need be and not taking shifts off. IMO that's all you can ask for from the premier goal scorer on your team. I disagree with your assessment of Boeser entirely, that's been established. But I want to know what player you valued most on the team and the type of player you thought was our most consistent player over the course of last season. -

Based off him being arguably our best player in a non career year last year, I should hope so? -

I thought Boeser played hard, was consistent each game, was good defensively, and scored for us. Out of curiosity, which players did you feel were better for us over the course of last year? I truely believe Boeser was our most consistent player. -
Hate it break it to you Scotty but you, or anyone else here don't get a damn say in what Benning does. "We" isn't a thing here. Further more, the fact that you just assumed that because Carolina made this trade the price was being offered to Benning is silly. I can nearly guarantee you that Benning kicked tires on Graves and the asking price was much higher. That's what happens when you trade within the division. Us trading CS to the devil's instead of the Oilers was case in point.

We have all sorts of cap opening up next year. Boeser was arguably our best player this year. Unless it's a deal we can't walk away from being offered Boeser isn't being dumped. -
I love the logo, love the jerseys, and I'm indifferent about the name. I think it's absolutely hilarious how some people are being such babies about Johnny Canuck being the logo when he is consistently in top voting by fans on Canucks logos. The same people whine about the Canucks lack of identity over the years with changing to frequently now whine that it's unoriginal. The fact that a select group of people around here hate it so much make me like it even more.

I feel like you're asking questions about common decency and respect when there was none. Why where children forcibly removed from their homes and sent to these schools in the first place? Why did children get stolen from family's and forced into foster care during the sixties scoop. Why do dozens and dozens of indigenous communities still need to boil their water to drink it safely. We will never have a logical answer to simple questions regarding these horrifying acts, because there isn't one.

From what I can gather reading this article and a few others coming out today, not in the unmarked and undocumented graves. 121 deaths were reported and documented from this school. Many of the deaths were from drowning due to the schools location on a island and children trying to get away. From what I can gather the 160 unmarked were not documented and over doubled the original death toll of this peticular "school". These numbers are seeming to be pretty consistent in all the schools. The undocumented deaths are slightly higher then the documented, meaning whatever the original death toll of these schools were, we can double it and then some.

https://www.cheknews.ca/over-160-unmarked-graves-discovered-near-residential-school-on-penelakut-island-836092/ 160 unmarked, on top of the 121 they reported. “It is impossible to get over acts of genocide and human rights violations. Healing is an ongoing process, and sometimes it goes well, and sometimes we lose more people because the burden is too great.”

26 woman accused their president of sexual misconduct (laws are different down south so misconduct is the correct term not assult like in Jake's case). 47% of their population still voted for him after that. Yeah, their tolerance for that kind of evil is much higher.

Personally I think he has one of the lower bust potential of the top of the draft this year. His shot is awesome, he thinks the game really well, plays a smart game. Beniers, Eklund, and McTavish I think are equally safe bets to be players.

Impossible, Benning is evil and how dare you say otherwise. -

Right? How dare the Canucks concider short term deals during an unexpected flat cap. I feel like there was a time a couple years ago the Taj account on Twitter wasn't completely unbearable. I miss that. -

Litterally the only person that would read through this thread and think that, is you. -

I'm under the impression you're not really sure what passive agressive means. Passive agressive is when you indirectly express negative feelings without actually expressing ill will. Calling someone out for bullying while at the same time trying to rally people to bully someone else is just being a bad person and ironic to boot. It's not a joke, unless you have a really crummy sense of humour. -

About 10 minutes apart you call out someone for internet bullying, then send out a call to arms for the exact same thing. -
We can dream. I would be beyond estatic if we get this guy at 9. He would be an amazing complimentary player to Petey or Horvat. DG is going to score a lot of goals in his career.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/walk-for-residential-school-survivors-1.6090950 My old man always told me, "when your sad or mad, take a walk". It was a way to decompress without saying or doing anything rash. Good for Landyn, it's amazing to see young people taking the matter into their own hands and doing whatever they can to try to help. He's up to over 27,000 already. If you want to show your support here is the link that you can donate to. https://ca.gofundme.com/f/landyns-journey-of-awareness
