  1. I have only ever seen snipes with that much confidence from him in his junior days highlight clips. I think he's a guy that feels comfortable with a bit more strength over cardio. Of course if we want that hitter, we should let him build up his damn shoulders etc. I dont buy that all humans are the same with regards to biological testing. You cant test if someone is feelin it etc.
  2. Virtanen looked like pre world juniors Virtanen.. Good signs this year? Maybe!
  3. Ya man, bitching about this is why I've been back on here the last few days.. That and updates, this is one of the best places for updates and developing news. Ill prop stay on here for a while and contribute more positively....since I'm getting back in the habit of it n all.
  4. I think you mean....kickstart my heart....whoa, yeahhh.... Im sorry also, I just couldn't help myself... Volume warning at beginning - FYI
  5. Wow dude, making us look bad over here... we all just happy we didn't have to take a boat to watch this. dont be so....judgy
  6. Id be so happy to be able to stop hating on him now, and he can go back to being one of my heros!
  7. Hey Apollo, nice to see you! i agree, in fact I agree so much that we are in danger of becoming an echo chamber! Lol i lost my first response here on sign in with my phone but will try to summarize. brock has no foresight business wise, he knows hockey and the closest thing to a financial adviser he has ever had is his agent. (Edit: on second thought, assuming he has "No" foresight may be an exaggeration, but we are thinking he would do better by focusing more on the hockey than the money) brock needs to step up and think about his hockey well being not just his financial well being as he is already behind the 8 ball now. (I think also what we were both getting at is that if he just focused on his hockey well being, he would be just as much or more financially well off in the future) And yes Brock has been nothing but a team player until now. I'm afraid that he has made it clear that he is above the team, and is putting himself first here, before these other guys. And I know that's going to effect his presence in the locker room, even if the deal gets done today. He is not there, he is not a part of this team today, and it is crucial to those other guys that he shows commitment or it's just not going to be the same. In fact, and I think this is what I was trying to get at, it already won't be the same.
  8. If you think ahead, if the players decided that they would make stacking this team easy, by taking maybe a mil less per season than they're worth, the future money from working around the game (From winning 4 cups in a row) would net them more over a lifetime, than just cashing in once or twice. Yes, this is fantasy, but look at players like Gretz, he made most of his money outside of playing the game.
  9. He's young and inexperienced with these things, he knows* hockey, not business, he would be trusting his agent to do whats best for him. Edit: adds an s to "Knows"
  10. Yes, as his agent works for him, he would be presented with every offer, then "advised" by his agent on what he should do, but ultimately the decision is up to him.
  11. Very good point, I am just pissed we have to suffer.. Suffer for both waiting on Brock to sign and that we have to keep talking about the effing leafs.
  12. Oh, it's greed I think. Apparently: Inside The Neutral Zone @ITNZhockey According to @mirtle with the @TheAthletic the #MapleLeafs have made 3 offers to Marner & his agent. 3 Years - $8.75M AAV, 6 Years - $10M AAV & 7 Years - $10.75M AAV #Marner #Leafs Holding out for 11.5? Guess you need those other 2 Ferraris to go with the first 22.
  13. You could be right.. Although a quicker fix would be a real team player type firing an agent over this, then there wouldn't be this bench mark to compete with, there would be a balance, and an agent could more aptly decide to pursue the fair deal over the lets get rich and strangle hold the whole team ideal which we are seeing now.. And I mean Marner, not Brock, I think he and his agent are held at the mercy of this mess because of things I described above.. The ball will have to drop one way or another.
  14. This is ridiculous.... At this point the agents are just comparing dick size. Think about it, if say, for instance Brocks agent signs for a fair deal, how does he look against the other agents comparatively. Does he get more or less future business because he didn't try and get the absolute maximum for his client. This isn't a Brock thing, this is an agent thing. (I know that's consistent with some sentiment around here).. I think realistically, in the future, a player will have to fire their agent over something like this, and set the trend, there's no other way to reverse it..this may just get worse in future years if nothing changes.
  15. Agreed, there is a line. Give em $&!#, just have some honor and leave the fam, and the dog out of it, lol.. Ah, maybe eff the dog, I dunno.
  16. You're right, how insensitive of me. I think Benning should hold a presser in which he give Louie a bug hug and tells him "Everything will be ok" In reality, that may be a good move as he would be so weirded out he may just leave on his own accord. lol
