Conservative Party of Canada Holds Annual Convention

100% and good on those students for taking the initiative. Future looks bright with people like that coming up. =) -
Well said, I think we can always fall back on our love of hockey though. That's the great thing about these boards, alot of us disagree about alot of things but for the most part everyone keeps up the discourse. If what you are discussing is always easy and you never get frustrated or upset about the opinions coming back at you, are those topics really worth anything? At the very least I hope we can all learn a little bit and become better people for it intellectually. These boards are pretty special, and this thread will be talked about for years. I love all of you!

That's cool to know about, thanks for the info, I'll check it out further. -
This was quite a class act by Bo, no matter what the perception you may have, there are people that are hurting and this gesture and statement should be looked at by everyone as a nobile one. (Not meant as a virtue signal, I could care less what people on the internet think of me lol) Besides a few days off will help our guys and Saturday works better for me to watch live anyway lol. Sometimes perception matters most. Good on Bo, Go Canucks Go!

God bless David Dorn and the 5 year old boy shot in the head because he was white. God bless the continued victims of violence in Chicago and other inner cities (something that has been brought to light and is very important) if the league thinks a day shut down in solidarity will help some people feel better about racial inequality who cares, go for it, it's just sports. That being said shutting down sports for a day is more hollow virtue signalling than striving for equality. Would anyone care about any of this if there wasn't a huge media push? Would there be a huge media push if it wasn't an election year in the states? Its sad that many people feel they are being treated unjustly due to their race. What would be even sadder would be if the problems being focused on weren't actually problems and a certain political party was using death, destruction and immorality to keep themselves in power, trying to convince minorities they are perpetual victims and the world was eating it up hook line and sinker.

I completely agree with that with an asterisk that a parent should be notified about such things as its a slippery slope when parents are not automatically notified about what that STATE is doing with YOUR CHILD. Although I do agree their could be special cases where an exception could be made. That's not what we were discussing though. Do you concede that what that child is going through is different than someone living under sharia law? -
To be fair Reeves for the most part plays a pretty honest game - he could have absolutely destroyed some of our guys but backed off as not to get a penalty or injure. He's just one of those guys that you hate when he's on their team but wouldn't you love it if he were on ours - walks the line well. Rooster goes over it more often, but I love him over Reeves cause he's our guy. Bleed green and blue! I say we should just let him sleep we should not go head to head with Reeves. Head down play our game
