  1. well that does sound nice..I've always been more into beer, but now am getting into the scotch. I blame some of my friends and one of their dads(I also blame how good it is too). =D I hope the Caps players are doing what we're doing right now..I wish them all many drinks this fine evening!
  2. Well damn, that sucks..but beer is good too, soo, I guess the answer would be to have a scotch??
  3. Stop thinking about it and just go now, you know you'll be thinking about it for as long as it would take you to go to the store and back anyway...at least.
  4. ##the complex emotional or psychological interaction between two people Good chemistry is positive interaction, feeding off of one another. This is sometimes learned over time, not always instantaneous. You see a shimmer one game, maybe its not there the next, but after 40 games or so, bam, maybe they are like twins.. I think hockey is all motivation, confidence and chemistry. Chicken and egg...stats come after.. Stats are the chicken. EDIT - I agree though that we shouldn't blame just one thing or player over another - live as a team die as a team.
  5. You see that as an excuse? I see it as a reason, and we were seeing this prior to any injuries on the 2nd 3rd and 4th lines.. What I see...The lines are juggled 2 shifts in. Next game, a new experiment is announced, so and so on this line, and that lasts half a period. Someone shows chemistry with someone else and all of a sudden, its different the shift after. Without coaching consistency, how could one expect scoring or player consistency. I'm not saying get rid of Green perhaps he looks like a genius in a couple games, but for now, this is what I see in my limited capacity, and maybe its the coaches that need to adjust, not the players.. Both coaches keep doing the same exact thing every game, other teams have already figured this out it seems..
  6. I don't know how these guys are supposed to form any sort of Chemistry when the lines are switched up as frequently as they are. Passes going no where, prob cause line mates aren't used to each other. Now I do think theres a balance in there as not switching lines up ever is also just as bad, you want guys to have chem with non line mates because of injuries or maybe a stale night. But the amount Green does it is too much, how are these guys supposed to be able to do anything. You see the confused look on Greens face at the end of the Dallas game.. this does not inspire confidence, and Im just drinking a beer, I can imagine how the players feel..maybe they ain't lookin, that would be a good thing.
  7. I love your sig so much.. Also, we need Roussel back like a dog needs a bone!
  8. @xereau Friend of mines aunt - seizures from being hit by a car when she was a teenager - marijuana stopped them - no bad side effects - have him look into it - the drugs for Seizures are horrible
  9. Good point! That makes sense. I think JV would see more time there if he would play a little harder when he has the chance. if you didn't see it I like Bertuzzis comments to Jake - keep it simple - get 7 hits and 7 shots.
  10. Leivo is good at puck retrieval and also at helping hold the puck in the zone - a lot of our chances have been one and done. May be time to get some sustained pressure. Why not try that with Leivo as he was helping with that successfully on the 3rd line last game. If it doesn't work it's not like Green sticks to his line combos anyway. This is not at the defence of Green as I think he does switch the lines up too much - guys need longer than a few games together to gel. What do I know though - maybe he wants the whole team to know how to play with one another, so switching it up is like nothing. (Stab in the dark) **shrug
  11. This is easy to interpret. They don't care about the comments, they respond to the outrage mob thinking they will lose viewership over this, losing money and so forth. Typical in today's day and age. It's part of what drives cancel culture.
  12. Difficult subjects are a fine line to walk. As long as our hearts are in the right place we are just. Ignorance is dangerous. I'm not anti anyone and your interpretation was predetermined based on key words I was using. You obviously have no desire to understand what I am actually saying but whatever. I think we are all wanting to come to the same inclusive conclusion. I stand by the thought that 99% of us are good people and want all people to do well together. That to me means ALL people, not just the ones it's popular to support based on some unwritten social hierarchy.
  13. Seven shots and seven hits. Fantastic comments from big Bert!
  14. What do you think the term toxic masculinity is? Or the ilk of feminism that is prominently pushing the anti man ideal. A young white boy is on the bottom of this totem pole. My whole point was not that YOU think this way, but that you not being aware of or having experience with this is privileged for YOU. (Did not mean to antagonize) My larger point that I claimed you missed is that any talk of anyone being better or worse than anyone else based on race or gender was just as bad as any other. Its a slippery slope, and I am seeing the tip of the iceberg. A generation of men raised by women to be fair and idealistic, only to be blamed for these issues they had nothing to do with! I have talked to very intelligent women about how for instance when this hypocrisy exists, for instance men with breast cancer being turned away from the breast cancer organization because they are men. In response I get from these women, "yes, but its our turn now" To write me off, especially claiming that your subjective point of view relates to a general one, where I can point out time and time again where masculinity is being attacked, in the ever increasing feminizing of the west is the laughable and misguided part. Love that every response from you was purposefully antagonizing..thanks for the discourse. That being said, I typically like your posts. I get that this is getting way off topic. This is all a divisive subject.
  15. Basing any sort of opinion on ones race is the hilarious part, and you missed my point completely. I am happy you've had such a privileged life. If you were a father of young boys, you may feel different but I don't expect you to have such insight.
  16. I'd rightfully argue that young white males are the most vulnerable in society today - I don't see anyone else being ostracized as much as this group in this day and age. If you are a minority, or associate on the hierarchy of the oppressed, you have more power.
  17. Yes, the old school stuff we were raised on! My parents are off the deep end now unfortunately, from the days of we believe everything the CBC tells us.
  18. This x 1000 - its very obvious to a thinking human unless you believe everything that the TV tells you. Effing fascists dressed up like our friends. I don't get how they hate on boomers also. The majority of boomers are life long blind liberals (like my parents lol).
  19. Oh, I'm very capitalist, I meant specifically profit margins based on wokeness. As in companies trying to be woke and afraid of the outrage mob themselves. Not margins in general, as decided on by whats intrinsically popular or not. Sorry if I wasn't super clear on that one. =)
  20. 100% it's all for power and control - certain politicians and corporations behind them vying for an easily manipulated base of support. It's got my hackles up and no one seems to understand this as they are using people's sensitivity and empathy against them. Scary stuff man. yay we all win again they will cry while eating their soylint greens
  21. Yes but the change is decided on by profit margins and the loudest in the outrage mob - this is no way to create an inclusive society.
  22. You're all smart enough to know the outrage is real. This is overblown to outrageous proportions. In a world where a comedians jokes can become a international headlines, what do your really think is happening here.
