  1. Has anyone actually watched his "rant" it was nothing. The cancel culture BS is at maximum attack in Canada - let's just put duct tape on everyone. The twitteratti wins again, god save the twitteratti, all hail our outrage overlords.
  2. This I think deserves respect. But before we make it a race thing, this also requires understanding. Just as much understanding on either side of the loonie I'd wager. If both sides of this coin have just as much understanding for each other, even when there is such an impasse on issues at hand, then everyone at least gets along at the end of the day. That disagreeing and also getting along is Canada. Well its the Canada I know. Intolerance on either side is just as bad as the other. EDIT: This conversation needs it's own thread. Lets get this back on track before Stealth deletes all this enlightenment. Go Canucks GO!!!!!!!
  3. I didn't say tie, I said great teams don't lose 3 in a row. But good try. (They don't play 3 on 3 overtime or have shootouts in the playoffs last time I checked)
  4. Outrage culture is getting out of hand. It's overinflated via news media so we see a overproportionate amount of it. I just tune out when I see it now. (Message to the easily offended getting offended over nothing at the behest of other people that also don't care) We don't care. No one cares. Shut the hell up.
  5. They say great teams never lose 3 in a row - let's see what today brings. I am hopeful.
  6. Ah, the utopian Canuckian vision. May just have some human nature to contend with before getting there. Personally, I'd call most of the ventilation, passionate, and leave it at that. Besides, I remember being pissed off for a couple days after a loss like this. Nowadays I just yell at the TV, hit my kid and then take it out on my wife. You, know, like a normal person. LOL
  7. 100% man. They are all focused on today, probably left the Hawks game back in their building. Good lesson on effort out of the gate. Would like to see Baer in for LE tho. Leivo can cover Motte for now.
  8. Agreed, total lack of effort. Cant keep up. Time to move on from this guy.
  9. Its time to get over this Shhhh*^*& and look towards tonight. Wheres the GDT for Winnipeg????
  10. Or Jake not staying with the Rush and missing not one but two prime opportunities to score!
  11. Oh ya man, the only really downside to us was a bit of a lack of experience, coupled with kid bodies (Not yet man bodies) a couple more years for these guys and we will be unstoppable I think. We are to the point now, that we could make a deep run if the playoffs started tomorrow. We will see what the season brings I guess, don't want to be too over the top enthusiastic, but as far as losses go, that one didn't really hurt did it? Don't forget about Motte also, I think he would have put us over the top. "Schaller - Beagle - Motte, the top line of 4th lines!" haha awesome...
  12. So this was the perfect 1970's game. One ref, lots of penalties let go. Hard play, and an embarrassing overtime loss. Couldn't have made this more accurate and true to form. On a fun note, that had a playoff feel at times. In November. I think the Blues had a clue who they were up against. I think we are going to be a very very good team.
  13. What was anyone to expect, he received accolades for playing like this in Boston. He would have received a pat on the back if this happened there plus the announcers would have stated that you "Don't mess with our goalie arrgh!"
  14. I think NT has integrity, and here's why: If you look back at reasons he gave, the main one was that his young wife wasn't comfortable and that they both wanted to move back close to family. What did he do? Did he take the inflated contract he was offered by Moscow to play there? No, he played in his home town at a discount. He was then subsequently punished and left off of the national team. (We all know Moscow is Putins team) This to me shows that he's the type of integrity driven player we want here. Goal for management should be to involve his wife with charities and other sorts of community based things so NT and her can build their new family in Vancouver. Are we great without him, yes. Would we be better with him? Undoubtedly so! Have a look at what he's providing his team now. He has gone through the same process there too, stripped of the C and having to play the right way to earn his minutes - this all translates well. I am hopeful.
