  1. Because of some comments posted by a few here? Brainless? pretty harsh words. Look I don't give a crap about what an ex canuck says about us no matter what the context is. Its not going to ruin my day. just surprising coming from someone like Horvat who I thought was better than that. Fans can voice their disapproval as long as its respectful. Doesn't make them brainless.
  2. Many? how many? many did not like the trade. the ones that did, did not exactly s%^t on him. He's is overpaid for what he does. That's not s$$ting on him. I like how you pull any negative issues about the canucks and try and spin it to your own narrative. I wonder if you are an actual fan. Haven't seen any positive posts from you.
  3. We were doing well until the Krakens first goal. That shot should be stopped 99 times out of a hundred. He saw it all the way. I know, good teams don’t let that bother them but man was that deflating
  4. He’s the only canuck out there that seems to give a s#%t tonight so yah, he’s entitled to.
  5. not a bad game overall. Did not get dominated like the last LA game. not too disappointed with the loss. Hirose looked poised out there. Lack of D depth is taking its toll. LA doesn't allow many chances.
  6. Not trying to make excuses for the 40 shots on goal but just looking at the D we iced last night, you can see why. We had only 2 D that are expected to be starters next year. Burroughs could be more than a depth D and provide a placeholder RD for next season. We may be looking for a top 4 LD or slide OEL into that spot. Boner and Breezer would be call ups from the minors. Myers should be traded.
  7. What I keep saying on here is that we are not a finished product. There are more changes to come. The key is not having the need for Demko to steal a game every night. We only had one top 4 D in the lineup tonight.
  8. Don’t worry, these lames will miss the playoffs and they will have to rebuild next season
  9. Calgary was fighting for their playoff lives and they still needed a bs call to tie it. Look at our depleted defense mr. Magoo yeah our team is garbage right? You really a fan or just incessant troll? Don’t give a f#$k what the shots were. We outshot Dallas and handily beat them yet you still don’t give them any credit?
  10. I use elite prospects. Most if not all are mid season rankings so hopefully they get updated after the season. https://www.eliteprospects.com/draft-center/2023/consolidated-ranking
  11. No. but the point was that you don't necessarily need a top pairing partner to play with Huggy. Hughes will have possession of the puck most of the time anyways so a top 4 D man would be wasted if paired up with him.
  12. HIm and Hronek would be one of the best shutdown pairs in the league. Huggy only needs a defensively responsible RD that can log the same 5 on 5 miinutes as he wouldn't be handling the puck much anyways. You bottom pairing will only be made up of depth guys like Wolanin since they will only get limited minutes as you play your top 4 for most of the game.
  13. you know it takes a big man to admit this so I commend you for it. I, like you have been a long time fan and have been through the many years of disappointments with this team. The devastating losses when we were so close in 1994 and 2011. I remember game 7 here at home against Boston how helpless I felt when I knew our team just didn't have anymore to give and knew what the outcome would be. I actually stopped watching after the first period and went to a park to chill out. I couldn't bear to watch the rest of the game. After that I decided not to get to emotionally attached anymore. I would just enjoy the games. I will still celebrate like any other fan when we finally do hoist the cup but promised not to get too serious about things that happen to the team. Now I just enjoy the games and hope for the best. No Bedard? no problem. Pick in the 11th spot? still get a good player. I am cautiously optimistic about this team now. Not going to say for sure they make the playoffs but I like what I see even though it may be mean nothing games. All we have is hope right? Can't do anything about things we can't control.
  14. Yep. we could have had a good start and a bad finish putting us out of the playoffs. I will also add that a good start keeping us in the playoff race may not have led to some of the moves that we made which seem positive so far.
  15. Demko was left in the minors to cook for a while after he got drafted. I think mgmt will do the same with Silovs. Not sold quite yet on Delia and for sure not Martin. Delia made some nice saves today but some of them were the result of poor rebound control. A better team would have finished them off.
  16. I get that some here were upset at some of the moves that mgmt has made like trading Bo, Hiring Tocchett in during the season and not doing enough to tank for Bedard. Whats done is done. No use coming on this board to repeat the same thing over and over again after a win. That isn't going to change a thing. Frankly I would be concerned if we were still losing and Tocchet's coaching wasn't working.
  17. Glad you agree! Next time brush up on your grade 2 math before you post.
  18. Wrong. 6 out of the last 11 wins have been against teams ahead of us in the standings:
  19. Good heads up play by Joshua for not dropping the gloves. Otherwise, the play may have been stopped before Petey‘s goal
  20. We know how Martin and Delia play. We saw them for most of the season. Silovs needs to be in Abby for their playoff run and can only be called up on an emergency bases. Yes I agree that one of the things that mgmt needs to look at is the backup position as both Martin and Delia will be FA's after this season is over.
