  1. Also remember that the 1% that they have been seeing in the US is from being able to treat everyone in the hospital (assuming that the hospitals were not overrun). When you get to a situation like they had in Italy where they had to pick and choose who to treat or not, that rate goes up.
  2. Nothing is assumed but everyone is advised not to go work when sick. Whether or not you’ve been exposed. I know for me, once I’m back to the office for 3 days a week, I’m staying home even if I get a slight sniffle.
  3. Yep, I’m well aware of that. Following other forum sites, many down south are still advocating for this because they want to go traveling again.
  4. They only need 70% for herd immunity but why get a C+ when you can go for the A
  5. Way to miss the point. BTW you do realize that if someone dies in a MV incident due to the negligence of someone else, it usually is not considered an accident right? does the term Vehicular homicide or manslaughter mean anything to you? So are you saying that the permanent injuries to my wife is the result of an unfortunate accident even though someone broke the law by texting while driving at Highway speeds? Your lack of concern to have people accountable for their actions is truly disturbing.
  6. DiSTRACTED DRIVING https://www.citynews1130.com/2020/05/27/canucks-forward-filming-driving/ Does that sink in for you? Forgive me if I'm a bit sensitive to this since My family and I were hit on the rear bumper on Hwy 99 which led to our car doing a 180 power slide at 100 kms per hour hitting the middle median (which saved our lives) screwing up my wife's back permanently because some lady decided texting on her phone was more important than paying attention to the road while driving on the hwy. So you can understand the slight bias against anyone I see that does this kind of s&it. But I'm sure you will come up with some sort of excuse like he is young or something and that he is great on the ice so we should leave him alone off the ice.
  7. That’s when the crap hits the fan.
  8. To them, the fact that number of positive tests quadrupled and the number of deaths only doubled is seen as a victory. "We are in a good place" says Trump.
  9. https://abcnews.go.com/US/30-year-man-dies-attending-covid-party-thinking/story?id=71731414&cid=social_fb_abcn&fbclid=IwAR3l2HHWMNfmBBlPS081w67hv8nQUbNGq0G3VgfnXAMJ-gRFHLbo9QstC8Q The stupidity down there is taking on a new level

  11. The 25 cases does raise my eyebrows a bit but lets wait and see what the week holds. I went to the Still Creek Costco today and noticed that they are starting to reduce the numbers in the store again. Maybe not as low as when we first started but noticeably more room in there compared to last week and I had to line up for 10 minutes which wasn't the case for the last month or so. The increase in cases was not unexpected given all the businesses that have opened up. I would like to know where the cases came from. Whether the majority was from known outbreaks or from the general community spread.
  12. Love all the GIF's in response.
  13. Nope. Although most people probably think it is. Unfortunately, Cody Hodgson was one of my least favorite players. Its entirely taken from my favorite sports fish.
  14. Condolences to you and your family. Its never easy losing a loved one.
  15. my bad. quoted the wrong post
  16. The Chum are in trouble on the Vedder, Chehalis, Harrison and Stave. Springs were in early and fishing was good in a few spots that they hung around in. I just don't target them much. Fresh Sockeye salmon is available in the Stores right now. I believe they are from Port Alberni.
  17. lol, a fellow Vedderite. Last year's coho run was pretty good. Also, the hatchery on the Chilliwack River doubled their production of White Chinook to feed the Orca's. Not great eating but fun to catch. I can see the end of the line for Salmon though eventually. Hopefully not in my lifetime. I'm doing more interior lake fishing now. Way more relaxing and don't have to wake up at 4 in the morning.
  18. I wonder what just breathing through the mask would do to my cholesterol count?
  19. Tests for Asymptomatic carriers are the ones that are not accurate (not saying Jake was one). They need to be tested repeatedly to ensure they aren't positive. Incubation period is 2 weeks though if they haven't detected anything by 4 or 5 days, he should be in the clear.
  20. That's quite possible. Having been to a lot of these clubs in my youth, I can attest to the poor ventilation. But really what it comes down to is the activities at these clubs. As I pointed out before, they were allowed to open as a lounge where patrons are required to sit at their own table of no more than 6 and not move around and mingle. I suspect that enforcement of these rules may be rather "loose" shall we say. They remain open until they are caught or if there is a report of infected individuals that had recently visited.
  21. Nah, its ok. Nightclubs and bars are no different than going to the grocery store or eating out at a restaurant. Am I right? I mean its legal to blow off steam there because Dr. Henry says so right?
  22. Thats right, that was the one in N. Delta.
  23. I think the owner is the same idiot that thinks this is all a hoax and earlier on in the pandemic, actually went to a hospital to film what was going on.
  24. That article really emphasizes that this virus needs to be fought on a global basis. Countries that try to take the easy way out were just going to get burned because its a global economy. Unless you are a country isolated from contact with the rest of the world, Your strategies must align with what other countries are doing.
