  1. @Petey_BOI Your thread is a glimpse of how bad our fanbase is.

The "reality" is that Benning's best move to improve the D was handed to him on a plate from Kelly McCrimmon because Kelly McCrimmon was busy bringing in a defender (one that we should have been in on had we had been properly managing our cap) while Jim the Infallible was on his hands and knees trying to overpay for Tyson Barrie and getting put on voicemail by Chris Tanev.  This isn't slander, these are simply the facts.  It's still a good move to get Schmidt but let's tell the entire story and not paint JB in rose colours to stunt on the bashers and haters.

Also, very funny how your defence of Benning doesn't make you a Benning bro but my criticism of his tenure makes me a Benning basher.  If I was a Benning basher, why did I wait 6 years to call him out?  Almost like as if there's been enough of a sample size now to evaluate that for every good move he's typically made, its preceded or followed by moves that make you question the acumen of the front office.

@Alain Vigneault There's lots of people who come out to blast management at various times. I don't care how long you waited to come out.

The "reality" is that Benning took advantage of a situation. It's something you and the so-called "Benning bashers" vastly understate to support your original point, which is to fire Benning. After all, it wouldn't look good to point out the good parts of his tenure. This is where your overly exhausted points about Benning come in.

If you were interested in the "whole story", which you aren't, you would be having a proper discussion about what Benning did right, and what he did wrong. That wasn't what your thread was about. You had a mere two sentences that talked about "Hindsight is 20/20". It was a weak defence for Benning in order to transition to your main "point".

If you're gonna have an opinion about something, the respectable thing to do is to be honest. Understating things to make your point look good is typical Benning bashing.

@Alain Vigneault I don't expect you to understand everything I said above, so this is my tl;dr version.

Benning doesn't deserve to get fired, but he deserves to get some criticism, along with some praise. This hardly makes me a "Benning bro", which is another reason why this fanbase is so toxic. It's a zero-sum game, and hardly any room for the stuff in the middle.
