  1. Horvat's contract is also not as bad as people make it out to be either. It's kinda hilarious how much the narrative has swayed.
  2. If you actually looked at the list, each of those players in the top four are playing different positions. I agree with his list, but if we're talking about who is the most NHL ready out of them, my point still stands. I'm very impressed with Elias Pettersson 2.0. I think he's a fantastic add.
  3. I never said he was NHL ready. If you scroll up, I said he was closest to being NHL ready than anyone else, and that's it's not even close.
  4. Yes, everyone is entitled to an opinion. The thing about an opinion is that it can change. An opinion can also become a fact in due time. All I'm saying is that Klimovich is a fantastic prospect. He may not be a blue chipper in the traditional sense, but he's pretty damn close. Any team would love to have him.
  5. I heard about McDonough not wanting to sign with the Canucks, but Rathbone is his good friend. I really wonder if that rumour about McDonough not wanting to sign is any true.
  6. He's literally the heads and tails better prospect. The age, the production/progression. If there's anyone who's closest to being NHL ready sooner than others, it's Klimovich. It's honestly not even close. No one else is ready to jump in. Klimovich's shot is absolutely lethal, and so is his skill in the AHL.
  7. Klimovich, 20 years old, doing well in the AHL? He doesn't stand out for you?
  8. Klimovich, hands down, based on his actual success right now in the AHL. This shouldn't even be a debate. No one else in our system has come even close to what he's achieved, especially at his age. Lekkerimaki has high potential, but he's taken a step back, largely because of his injuries. Raty is only okay, but he's definitely a few steps behind Klimovich. Silovs is probably the 2nd best prospect. Everyone else is kind of a toss-up.
  9. Pettersson struggling at centre is one of the reasons why he did play on the wing for a while. Not sure what your point is with this. Maybe he'll get better at it, which I'm sure he will get better. He's worth the try.
  10. He really is beat up with the amount of criticisms he has taken this season.
  11. I knew what he meant. I should've made it clear on that. I was just trying to be cheeky
  12. Am I the only one that liked Stillman, in spite of his obvious flaws? Josh Bloom seems like a nice afd though. Not complaining. New management has been decent with trades.
  13. This is exactly why people need to remember that a team is not built on one or two trades. There's no question that Allvin's group is much better at identifying good players that perform well on this team. We are "retooling" per JR, which is exactly where we were at in 2014ish. It's strange.
  14. Kravtsov is a step in the right direction, but he could just be as easily as a Dahlen - a flash in the pan. I honestly think Beauvillier is a great acquisition by PA.
  15. Yeah, he's got a primadonna, entitled attitude, seemingly. He's definitely not NHL ready. He's been rushed and it shows on the stats. This is why he's only worth a Lockwood and a 7th. NYR fans have been saying that their team sucks ass with developing players. Kravtsov is one of these examples.
  16. This is a really great trade by management. They are starting to make up for their earlier blunders in a big way.
  17. They have some questionable ownership, but they also have people that know what they're doing.
  18. Someone like Pederson should've been worth a low draft pick, for example. We haven't accumulated many picks, despite the fact that we are supposedly "retooling".
  19. Teams like Chicago and Arizona have done a better job unloading assets than Vancouver has. That's gotta raise some question marks about how this management is dealing with things.
  20. Some people only just want to rehash what they think, but they don't even bother trying to think. The amount of blind worship for Gillis is hilarious.
  21. This new management has made some good moves, specifically the pro scouting department. Also, any trades that they have done have been mostly good, including the Horvat one. I still think this new management mishandled Horvat... and Miller too. They said a lot of stuff like finding ways to make cap space, but we are actually tight against the cap, which goes against those previous assertions. In fact, the stuff they said in the media have been dead wrong, including their assessments of the team. And while Bear was a good trade, the defense is crappy because management thought it was good enough. (Pretty sure JR said it was good enough) The inability to trade players to lose cap space and/or "retool" is another thing that's wrong about this management. They made one gigantic trade for Horvat, but that's it. This is unacceptable for a rebuilding/retooling team.
