  1. Some people watch other teams besides the Canucks. This is a forum for everyone. And I think this player has a positive message. I didn't prove your point. I proved that your point was stupid.
  2. He's a somebody for the Dallas Stars, considering he played his entire career there with them. Your point is stupid.
  3. Great message from the guy. I didn't know this player at all, but seems like he had some decent seasons. It's too bad that depression/concussion basically took the fun out of the game for him. Hope life treats him better.
  4. I don't get it. Why isn't Markus Naslund or Trevor Linden in this? Or Geoff/Russ Courtnall? Or Ronning? This Alumni thing makes zero sense.
  5. I would LOVE for someone reputable to call out Sekeres. We all know he's full of $&!# - but how is this particular post an example of that? We're reallllllllllly reaching if we consider this to be "calling out" someone? Sekeres merely asked a question - and Ferraro answered it.
  6. I think we shouldn't read too much into it. The deal is only one year, and the club said he'll be playing as a center in a professional men's league, while close to home after spending the entire time in NA. I think Jasek will see the NHL sooner rather than later.
  7. Yeah, maybe he just wants to go back to Europe for a little bit, considering he spent the entire time in the AHL/North America last year. He's only 23.
  8. Don't worry guys. I think after reading from another site, it's only a one year deal.
  9. Philly has no luck with injury prone guys. First, Lindros, now this guy...
  10. I feel thankful for all the Canadian staff, whether it's the politicians, the businessmen, and the medical team, for giving us the chance to survive this corona. There are other countries that just don't care about its people, and will turn a blind eye. We've seen examples in the US and in Brazil, but also the rest of the world. Sure, Canada has not been perfect in how they handled this crisis, whether it's their messaging, or their lockdowns, or what not. However, one thing for sure is that the country was trying to keep us safe, while trying not to affect the economy too much. Canada did pull its act together with the vaccine distribution, and this is the result.
  11. Yes. I also hate the 'moral police' crew who come in and openly accuse anyone who DOESN'T outright call Jake a rapist as being a rapist, or some kind of sympathizer to them. Found these people that you and I described on Twitter - and it's terrible.
  12. I haven't been a fan of Baumgartner, but since Hughes has said something good about him, I'll defer to his opinion. Maybe a good defensive coach will unlock the potential of some of these young players. Not sure where Chatfield stands in our organization. He doesn't look ready at times, but he's a RHD if I recall. As for Rafferty, I don't think the Canucks will offer him anything.
  13. McTavish doesn't have a noted bloodline. He's not related to Craig MacTavish. Special note: Mason's dad did play hockey, albeit at the lower levels. So there is SOME hockey bloodlines.
  14. Edmonton does have some good pieces. Yamamoto is definitely an impact player. I think the biggest pretenders have got to be Toronto.
  15. Is he really that ineffective? And if the entire coaching staff is that bad, how would Shaw help us? FWIW, at this moment, I think he's a great hire. He sounds like he knows what he's talking about.
  16. Kesha sued Dr. Luke, and then Dr. Luke countersued. That's what I thought of. Yes, it's a completely different case, but I thought maybe there'd be something similar there.
  17. DeAngelo is another guy that comes to mind. Nobody wants him.
  18. I was going to say you, but I realized you aren't Sid No, I was referring specifically to posters like kanucks25, Alain Vigneault, etc. Their silence on this matter speaks volumes about what kinds of fans they are, especially when they post every single freaking day about the Canucks problems.
  19. Oh my god... not only did you rip off the quote from Denzel Washington's character from the movie Training Day, you have just spewed a bunch of nonsense in the same post. Holy $&!#. To be specific, what are "facts"? They are established truths.
  20. Uh, no. The Canucks did the right thing. Having Virtanen continue playing is a PR disaster. It's not like the Canucks automatically believed the victim either. He just has a leave of absence so he isn't a distraction to the team. Imagine the awkwardness with his teammates. Are you even listening to yourself?
  21. You're missing the point. Even if she agreed to it, but let's say he wanted to do a specific act that she wasn't comfortable doing, then any prior consent can be taken away at any time. Even forcing the girl not to use a condom is considered rape. That's why texting as a defense is going to have its limits. You are seeing things on a very surface level. There's a lot of factors to consider though.
