  1. Exactly. I loved how he tried to equate the words "highly unlikely" and "now out of reach" as being the same thing. They're not. It was wayyyy too early to call the Canucks out. The end result wasn't a matter of him being right, lol. Mathematically eliminated is basically the proper equivalent to "out of reach". How funny how he had to ignore the main definition of it to twist the argument to go his way. And he just said I was being dishonest in the other post. Lol.
  2. He will do plenty of that!
  3. Cool. I get that you feel victimized whenever I reply to your posts, so you accused me in the other thread of "stalking" or "following" you, but when you do it, it's not? For the record, I don't care whether or not you reply. I just wanted to call you on your blatant hypocrisy. Hilarious.
  4. No, actually, it's not. When you go into the real world, when someone fails to uphold their duties, asking for their head is a REAL consequence. I have no idea what kind of strawman you were making there, but my argument is very simple. It's no surprise that you can't even comprehend basic English. Countless times I run into your posts, and I love engaging with you because you're so easy to pick off. No, Parros didn't get fired. Your position was that you could handle things behind the scenes, right? Well I told you that "working from behind the scenes" clearly hasn't worked out, and I cited the Sedins as a localized example. It seems no position will be a "right" one, yet you have identified a position as being "right". THAT is what is unsupported.
  5. Nope. The fact that you think I'm stalking you just shows how ignorant you are. I can post wherever I damn please. I don't put you on ignore because your takes are sometimes good, but often pretty dumb. Here is another take from you that is unsupported - and I doubt you'll address how the Sedins were treated over the years, even though the Canucks took the classy approach. It would help if you paid attention to hockey the past decade - you should take your own advice though
  6. Seemed to work well with how the Sedins were treated over the years. /sar Or even for the Canucks players for that matter.
  7. Does anyone know how and why Tankathon lists us as 7th? It seems most of the sims I've done put us around 7th. A freaking one percent chance Dallas got first overall in one sim, and Arizona (forfeited first round pick) also. I know there's more games to go, so maybe we will fall more in the standings when those are completed.
  8. Nah. The NHL won't do that. They took away and gave back New Jersey's first round pick when NJ blatantly circumvented the cap system. It's clear that NHL has double standards with how they treat teams. Lehner speaking out had no repercussions. Miller didn't either. But I strongly believe that the next player who speaks up against the NHL will be given a walloping.
  9. Are you serious? How is it "smart"? Putting up with stuff - ala Sedins - got the Canucks nowhere. We have freaking history to tell us that. There is no "smart" play that you're implying.
  10. We can say that about any team signing stars to long term, expensive contracts. Teams only 'rebuild' when they underachieve from their initial goals, so they scavenge from their existing parts, especially when a new GM is put in.
  11. ...or if they were going to fire him anyway, they could've done so, WHILE supporting New York's position. You are running under the assumption that the NHL can't look like they are 'bowing under pressure'. Clearly they didn't feel that way when Miller talked to the Media. Or Robin Lehner. Both these guys had legitimate reasons and they used their voices to express discontent. Nah. The only reason Parros keeps his job is because the NHL lets him have it. They could have EASILY fired Parros and gotten another yes puppet to satisfy one owner. Easily. If all it takes is a firing to shut up someone, they might do it to get the heat off them. Now the issue is full blown stupid for the NHL.
  12. Well they could've thrown in a 2 game suspension in the regular season (which essentially means nothing), and the conversation would be less of a controversy than nothing at all. This decision has exposed the NHL for being a joke.
  13. Like what? What do you think the Canucks could write in a statement about COVID? That NHL schedulers should be fired? These are two VERY different situations. I'm not surprised you're trying to slap Canucks management with something that they had no control over.
  14. Edler's suspension was on a knee. A 5000 fine for what would've been aggravated assault; one that was even worse than the Matheson/Pettersson incident. NHL could've done something about Wilson who was a repeat offender - and they just gave him a 5000 fine.
  15. Actually, Panarin is your star player. You're telling me the Canucks should do or say nothing publicly if Pettersson got beat down like Panarin did? Really? Props to NYR for doing the right thing. A 5000 fine for an action that is arguably worse than the Matheson/Pettersson incident. Okay buddy.
  16. Because people are desperate to move away from Benning that anyone seems "better". Confirmation bias.
  17. I don't like those redundant passes in the defensive zone. No wonder why they have so many difficulties getting picks out of their zones.
  18. 10 years ago... The Canucks run was about the same time. Ever since then, NDP has been in decline.
  19. I'd like to think that the average Canadian is pretty reasonable. It's the small group of idiots that speak the loudest because they feel infringed.
  20. Doubt it. Even through all the scandals among the other political parties, ndp has never come anywhere close to being more than a third rate party.
  21. Let's be honest. The Matheson throwdown was BAD. That warranted a suspension. However, WHAT THE &^@#? ONLY a 5,000 fine? Very very very dangerous. Wilson needs a season + playoff ban.
  22. Glad i'm not the only one that sees this as well. Miller absolutely gets lazy in the defensive zone. Kind of shocking for a 1st line centre on this team lol.
