    Everyday the Miller/horvat handling by management looks better and better, almost like they know more than the armchair gms around here. Who woulda thought?

      @logicNah. The handling of it was very poorly done. They just have learned to fix their own mistakes though. It doesn't make the handling as good as you say.

    If Canucks somehow win #2 or #3, I’d trade that pick along with the next 4 1st rounders and our best prospects for #1

    i'm trading miller, dries and a 4th round to washington for kuznetsov, iorio and a 2nd rounder. imo, a fairb trade.

      I don't think trading for Kuznetsov is a good trade.

       

      I'd much rather have Miller and I had wanted him traded. He has since solidified himself onto this team legitimately so far. Let's see how he does next year.

    Canucks better hope this "structure" continues next season, otherwise they wasted a crazy opportunity to draft a franchise player in the top 5 of this draft

      @Cup_Joneser That's not tanking though. A very poor job tanking, but credit is worth giving to for a team that has no quit. This team has the raw potential to go further than where it is now. Too many 1 goal losses.

      Beauvillier could be a nice piece, but he's effectively a Pearson replacement.

       

      Garland's pretty good. He plays a bit like Kuzmenko with his skating. He needs to finish his chances though.

       

      I'd like to see OEL have a nice offseason and come back to prove the doubters.

      @#Canucks Not sure about the US, but do you really think Trudeau is the weakest leader in history? That's objectively not true. There are plenty of PMs that did nothing in their tenure. Kim Campbell technically is the weakest PM.

    Thinking back on it, Gillis really should have just given Willie Mitchell the two-year deal he wanted. Then we could have saved the assets from the Keith Ballard trade and used them elsewhere.

      The Keith Ballard trade was an absolute disaster from Gillis. He himself bought Ballard out later lol.

    I woke up this morning, feeling good about this trade and new direction. I did some research on this prospect. Things look good. 2 years he could be a 1/2 C. Time for a change, we are getting that.

      @Alflives That post could be interpreted in two ways.

       

      What I think he originally meant was for the buyers market for pieces like Kuzmenko, Horvat, and/or Schenn.

       

      There's also potentially a tongue-in-cheek meaning to it as well. Since management can't make competent moves for this team's future, we might be buying pieces to make a push for the playoffs, despite our current position...
