  1. Virtanen has close to 40 points. That is really good. He needs more time to hone his craft but I'm sure he can. We should see a new Virtanen next year.
  2. LOL, the user 'Dungass' is so mad that he's continuing to PM me. #cdcdrama

Did you tell him to replace the ng in his username with mb?

  3. I'm curious, who's Brock Border? (Incidently, the E and the S is right beside R and D keys)
  4. I may have added extra quotes, but I questioned how YOU got the idea that he was "close to bolting". Now you claim I'm "backpedalling". Puhleeze. I love how you've never addressed my posts directly, especially how I told you that there is no source that confirms your report. ...and since you are not even bothering to quote me directly, the above quoted post should put your speculation-laded link to bed.
  5. One word: speculation. Love how you are implying that you understand the difference between the two when you don't. Until Goldobin is revealed to have expressed interest in signing in CSKA Moscow, it is misleading to state he is close to bolting.
  6. And this is where the issue lies. Nowhere does the report SUGGEST he is "close to bolting". As I gathered from your link, CSKA Moscow has interest in Goldobin. No arguments from me there. Igor Larionov has gone on record saying that Goldobin is "looking forward to" playing with Vancouver next year and is going to "pay the price with the summer workouts". And because you are so slow at understanding logic, I will say it again for you. Nowhere does the report SUGGEST (in your words) he is close to bolting. Because, of course, if he was close to bolting, it would require the agent saying he is interested in going to Moscow, which he is not. Learn to read.
  7. YOU said "...close to bolting" which isn't exactly true. I over used the quotations but my points do not get invalidated. Nowhere does it support your opinion that he is close to bolting. You didn't get fake quoted, at least not intentionally.
  8. Your post says specifically "Report suggesting he is close to bolting" He is neither "close to bolting" nor does it say he is even interested in bolting. Your words not mine. All I meant to say was it could've been worded better.
  9. It doesn't say he is "close" to bolting. It says that a team (CSKA Moscow) has interest in Goldobin. However, Igor Larionov, his agent, says that Goldobin is interested in staying in Vancouver and wants to "pay the price for summer workouts". Who do we believe? They both could very well be accurate. Neither of them specifically say that Goldobin is "interested in bolting".
  10. You do realize that Duerte is basically a military dictator right? He has jailed a lot of people, like political opponents, often for reasons related to "drugs". Also, I do recall Mexico Presidents Calderone/Nieto both being hard on drugs like Duerte, yet be rumored to have been working with drug lords. The reality is that there are a lot of players in the drug industry. The fact that you can get 'all' the players in the drug world is naive. They were either sacrificed to make it look like the government was doing something or they were hand-picked people from a rival drug cartel. Get a clue, filthycanuck.
  11. I'm at a loss about this. Goldobin has once said he wanted to stay in Vancouver and considers it "home". Yet, he is mulling over the idea of signing with a KHL team?
  12. Gotta say, Carolina beat Washington not because of "toughness", so this narrative about team toughness is overplayed. Carolina's breakout exits were just sublime. They were SO fast at exiting the zone and their passing was crisp.
  13. For a guy that pales in comparison to Wayne, I hope he didn't. If anything, he'd be constantly compared to the 'other' brother. Anyway, I think if Benning thinks he's good to have on board, then he can. It's a little weird though because wouldn't President be a job above his? I highly doubt it. It's an interesting speculation. Maybe there's no need for a President.
  14. Considering the John Macdonald status was taken down in Canada, this shouldn't be a surprise. If the first Canadian prime minster to sign the Constitution can't have a statue, why should Kate Smith? For the record, I think taking down a statue is silly. As some posters have already said, this is just cherry-picking at stuff. If we did that to everyone, there'd be something shameful to uncover.
  15. I was actually being facetious, but that's alright. If we are to assume that the rulebook and/or DOP has been evolving with handling suspensions, what about the headshot on Baertschi that was not only missed by the referees but was not deemed at all by DOPS to be an illegal check to the head. It was late (Baertschi did NOT have the puck) and the PRINCIPAL CONTACT is the head. There's really no point trying to defend the NHL on this because if the DOPS reviews all plays/injuries in the game, we wouldn't be having this discussion about inconsistency.
  16. I'm guessing he'll be a good hire. Lots of experience. Good at line juggling, much better than Green tbh. But hate how he "defends the tie" style of game. You need to let the game breathe.
  17. How is he washed up when he's 28 years old and is helping the Shark's PP? Seriously dude.
  18. But they lost a 4th overall, which could've been a 1st; they lost Stone, who was clearly their best player, aside from Karlsson (who was a fan favourite and had to go due to poor circumstances); and their goaltender Anderson is good, but he's like 40 years old. Their depth is worse than ours and they have an owner who is showing how incompetent he is at running his most expensive business. Melnyk may have billions but he has neglected his infrastructure and ignored his bosses that is his fans. Worst NHL owner today.
  19. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Energy_Program I'm not sure to be honest, but this NEP was the reason why Trudeau Sr was so hated.
  20. Something to note: Trudeau Sr. was very unpopular in Alberta in days gone past. Unless his son does something to change it, traditionally, the Trudeau name is blackballed there.
  21. I guess using your logic of the "significant injury" part, Hansen shouldn't have gotten suspended then.
  22. Also, this was an extremely dumb play by Kucherov. TB is going to choke, it seems. Yikes. I was thinking they were going to dominate in the playoffs.
  23. I have to say that goaltender interference penalty that benefited Las Vegas yesterday was an absolutely TERRIBLE call. Incompetence or "Game management", I'm not sure.
  24. Well, people will continue to repeat the story that Dahlen said he didn't want the trade. "See, he said he didn't know". Lol.
