Busy watching Designated Survivor with the wife. Almost done the second season now. First season was really good, second season dragged for the first half but picked up the second half of the season. Really wish I had a lot more spare time to watch and get into shows, we have a list of TV shows/movies that we want to watch when the kid goes to bed.

The rising NHL powerhouse that Jim Benning constructed

No one can predict he would end up with multiple injuries right after his draft though. Thats the unfortunate part, and every team as you look through history has a bunch of these so whatever, crap happens. Hell how many teams are looking and thinking "wait how did we pass up Petey and Quinn". At the end of the day the draft is a crap shoot and you hope you end up with more wins than losses. -
Nope he was at the end with no use left to the current rebuild. I prefered the chances to get a prospect that could have turned into something. Its a trade I would do 10/10 times, if you aren't competing for a cup you dump off old assets for hope to compete one day.

A decent 3-4 bedroom house for $150,000? Christ almighty! Have you seen the cost of building materials these days? Between wood/drywall/flooring/doors/ etc your looking at most 3-4 bedroom homes costing around that in materials not even accounting for labour/lawyers/realtors/all the other fees needed to go into buying homes.

You also aren't owed to be able to live in one of the nicest cities in the world and expect to not have to work hard or make much to live there. If you can't find jobs that pay atleast $20/hr your doing something wrong, either find a different career or job or move somewhere until you have the skills to move back and get a job that pays more. No Kingofsurrey has always beat this drum. If it was so easy there wouldn't be so many mom and pop shops closing down left right and center because of rents skyrocketing year over year.

Is the tragically hip considered classic rock enough? Either way I always thought they were overrated and meh. I remember when Gord passed away, my dad asked me if I could name a single song, I couldn't and neither could he. Was never a band I ever knew anything about. -

Yea my highschool sucked at basketball, I wanted to have a chance at playing for a AAA highschool but that never happened haha. Other than sports I would never go to a private school, will never send my son there either. Nothing wrong with public schools -

Haha damn! My dad was a teacher and he said he would never have sent me to private school (I wanted to transfer just to play basketball lol). He had a hatred of how the privates abused things and really didn't like or feel the teachers were any better. -

Oh he did save himself. Bought out Canfor at a dirt cheap price so when stumpage fees finally go back down he will have controlling power over the biggest mills in the province. I remember seeing how people were trying to say he was doing a service to help the province and the people, no Jimmy only does things that make him money, thats all he cares about at the end of the day. -

Were you complaining about tolling when the Coq had it for years until it was paid off? That was only a section of the province who paid for it who actually used it. -

Can you truly be a fan of two teams in a single league?
Russ replied to Magikal's topic in Off-Topic General
I barely knew what I was watching at the time, didn't really get into football until probably 5 years later after that. Was too focused on hockey/soccer/basketball at the time to care about football outside of the BC Lions. -
Looks like people better go buy some better running/walking shoes and get moving a little earlier in the morning!

FIrst time I really started watching NFL was back when the Patriots were in their midst of their first superbowl run with Brady, up until then all my dad watches is CFL never NFL, so I sort of latched onto the Pats but regional the Seahawks were there and got a decent amount of coverage around here so I started watching both pretty intensely and with both generally playing at different times (10am vs 1 pm) I was able to watch and enjoy both games quite a bit so I sort of latched onto 2 teams in the league. -
I found it alright, can't say I was blown away from it. Couple places in Chilliwack I like though.

So pretty much all politicians are crap Thats pretty much the motto I go with. Regardless of who won, Scheer or Trudeau or Singh, I would have talked crap about each garbage thing they did that I thought was bad. -
Yea I am not complaining. I got lucky and got my house just before prices started skyrocketing and land investors have already come around looking at our place for development. Now the wife and I have told them to come back in 40 years when we have retired and want to downsize.... But yea these prices are insane.
