Anyone else finding it hard to get excited for next year?
Russ replied to Canuckfanforlife82's topic in Canucks Talk
If its same roster then not excited. But I don't think Jim and Allvin will come back with the same roster if they can avoid it. Hopefully be meaningful changes. -

Would have preferred 5am EST, might have to switch work shifts now. I am stoked this should be fun no matter what! -

Oscars Launch Formal Review of Will Smith After Chris Rock Slap
Russ replied to Elias Pettersson's topic in Off-Topic General
If you do it correct technique, a slap can hurt WAY more than a punch. I am just glad Rock obviously wasn't hit bad enough, he was able to regain his composure really well. I got to give him full props for that to get back up and not come back at Smith. -

Dude got slapped. He's fine. It'll be swept under the rug and no one will care in a month from now. Not saying I condone violence at all, but it was bad but not awful. If he had used a fist it could have been much much worse. -

If they get the world cup games there's a way to lay the sod over the artificial. Don't ask me how, it was explained one day and it's quite the process but can be done with positive results -
NHL needs to take tips from NBA and do these alternate jerseys. Let teams play in them 4-5 times a year, easy enough to co-ordinate jersey colors with away teams since most are white anyways when they come here.

I dont even know why Udonis is still on the team. Whats with Pat Reilley obsession wasting a roster spot for him for a dude who doesn't even play. Hell you could have a G leaguer be a more useful bench warmer.

Its hard to believe still this is the same roster that started the year so god awful..... What a wicked game. Demko is a boss. Nice to see the 2 Petey goals too! -
Honestly not a surprise. For those guys to have that energy day in and day out how hard they rock out, we all know they are taking something. Very sad none the less. Dave Grohl is well known for hitting the beer and Jagar before concerts hard.

Ah just awful, wish nothing but the best for the family especially with him in another country. I am really glad I got to see them in concert a few years back, always regretted not seeing Linkin Park when I had opportunities. Theres only a handful of bands I really wish to see and Foo Fighters was always on it. RIP

My wife applied for a new job in food, no experience in that field, they gave her a pay raise and all types of stuff to come over. As much as I love to say stick to a job for a long time, other companies are willing to hire people. I know my boss just left for a new company, he's wanting to get established in his supervisor role and then bring me along later, he flat out said they pay more and he wants to keep working with me since I don't dog f*** like a lot of others in my field haha. Hip, you should have your wife ask for a reference letter (recommendation? whats it called now?) and see what they say. Might stoke a little fire under them if all shes asking for a bit of a raise to get in par with other jobs.

Im about to sign papers to lock into a big bleeping mortgage. Atleast there will be a rental to take away majority of the mortgage. We think its massive, we get paid decent too. Our realtor said this is going to be one of the smallest mortgages he's written in the last 6 months so I wouldn't even want to know how strung out others are.

Got one more year until contract negotiations at my work. I have already talked to our rep and told him I want in on the negotiations and our rep is gonna get a strip ripped off him if he bends us over again like last time.

From what I've heard the next version next year "should" have the wiper. Seems to be a common complaint up here while America and Europe don't seem to bring it up as often. I got an older style of the ioniq with a more gradual, I just rainX it and seems to work fine for me.

I haven't looked lately, but the Primes were pretty in demand and the waitlist was massive last I checked. Maybe its changed in the last few months but probably better bet is Hyundai or another brand. I talked to a buddy whos wife works at Toyota out here in the valley and he says they get F all in for vehicles right now, everything is ordered and bought and off their lot instantly right now. Most in demand vehicles you may be waiting for a bit for unless shipments suddenly start flowing but the constraints are pretty bad right now. The Ioniq 5, oh geeze! Thats the car I really want to put a deposit on (I might wait for the 7, the true SUV style one if I can afford it). I have the full electric 2020, I am not going back to gas, drove it 68k now after 24 months. If you ever want a great experience learning about the 5 or EVs in general, theres a few good FB groups or if you ever make your way out to the valley, the Chilliwack Hyundai dealer EV salesman is awesome. He owns a 2018 ioniq EV himself, super knowledgeable, was one of the few in BC to be brought in by Hyundai to learn all about EVs a few years ago, super awesome guy to pick his brain. Or if you got questions about EVs at all in general feel free to fire me a DM.
