At least Minny generally has a somewhat competitive team and doesn't have tons of top 5 picks on their roster. Buffalo is the next closest easily.

At about the 1 month mark I started loosing weight myself. https://www.delish.com/food/g26987069/low-carb-beer/ Theres another my buddy showed me in a light blue/white can that he got at some liquor store in abby, I can't remember its name right now.

When I started, the first month I lacked some energy then one day it seemed like my body suddenly got a shot of addrenaline for the whole day and thats when I figure my body finally hit ketosis and started burning the fat as opposed to the carbs like it usually does. Its funny I have heard of people who had all these problems all their lives going keto/carnivore and after a few months their body seemed to repair themselves once they got off the "american diet" of carbs. I don't really have anything myself but people have sworn by the diets that its fixed things that doctors for years would prescribe and only minorly fix or temp fix their issues. Don't know if theirs any hard evidence but I read it all the time.

Andrew Berry guilty of murdering his young daughters
Russ replied to Kanukfanatic's topic in Off-Topic General
Glad to hear he's actually getting punished. Now the guy who killed the police officer in Abby may get off scott free because he wasn't in the "mentally right state of mind" is pissing me off today now after reading that last night. -
People seem to have a tendancy to think this diet is like the Carnivore or Atkins when really its more similar to the paleo. Its just the removal of as many carbs as you can while you eat lots of veggies and meat.
-
There are some keto friendly drinks out there now, a lot of people gravitate to those vodka sodas. I still enjoy a bit of whiskey time to time myself.
-
Its not that you can't its just that you do it once in a while as almost a treat. You can go off the diet for a brief period it won't kill you at all but the idea is that you don't want to consume that food on a daily basis.

Unfortunately its war between parties now. Trudeau would do the same thing, couple of his Liberal collegues were videoed in the house opposing LGBTQ bills 15 years ago and he is sweeping that under the rug. People change, something done 10 years ago isn't a mark on the person today, or atleast shouldn't be in my opinion. I am sure we have all done dumb things that we look back on and say "well that was stupid now" but at the time it was somewhat acceptable.
-
Oh i know. Liberals pulled up some anti LGBTQ stuff on some Cons while some sitting Liberals were showed voting against LGBTQ stuff in the past. People change FFS, this crap is petty and stupid. We all played cowboys and indians as kids, now thats a big no no. Am I expecting to have someone come at me and say "when you were a kid you were politically incorrect"? Ah piss off, things change, people change, ways change, acceptance changes.
-
Both Cons and NDP are trying to make political statements. It was almost 20 bloody years ago, who freaking cares now. Its like how they dug up some old anti-LGBTQ stuff some Cons said 20 years ago, thats a long time and people change, I hate this pettiness going around during elections, can't wait till all this crap is over in another month.

Thats the joys of drafting. I remember when they flipped Lucic and whoever else to get that 3rd pick and picked 3 in a row, I was thinking "damn if they get some 2nd/3rd liners out of 3 in a row that'll be solid for the next decade". Goes to show you that you never know how exactly guys will elevate to that next level from junior, some show so much promise but they just top out at that level.

Don't be ridiculous Tryamkin isn't 11 feet tall. He's only 7'6"

Former 1040 morning show host Dave Pratt returns to media
Russ replied to cuporbust's topic in Canucks Talk
I remember when that happened and everything went quiet after the fight and I was wondering "was this a stunt?" -
Bummer is he just has trash luck since he came here and who knows if his luck will change any time soon.

Very mild winters and not horrendous summers like most of the rest of the country. And decent job selection depending on what your field is. Unfortunately those factors jack stuff up here.

Condos have been crashing for a while now. Friends were in a building in Abby, one sold last year for 399 and my other buddy is trying to sell his now and he's down to like 325 or something when he was hoping to get something like 350+ when he listed it in May or June. Just had an offer fall through as the buyer apparently couldn't get financing so he's pissed and hoping someone will buy soon so he can move in with his fiance and not have 2 places. On the bright side had subjects removed on the house we were selling! Horray! I put in way to many hours to make it presentable and wont get my moneys worth out of it after its split between all the kids but whatever, stupid thing is gone so that makes me happy.

I think the idea is if you have the money theres the balance between being mortgage free and investing in stocks, etc. With interest rates around 3% or so, some people will pay that as their mortgage and put the remaining money into a financial institution looking at getting returns of 5%-10%. So if you have a chunk of money is it worth it to build up that compound interest or have the stress free of no mortgage. My wife and I will be in that situation sort of soon where we could pay off the good portion of our mortgage and possibly have it paid off after a couple more years then invest money monthly or do we invest it and start building that interest right away? We are going to be talking to my old financial guy in a couple months and see what he thinks the best course of action is for us and go from there.

The Amazon is experiencing a record number of forest fires
Russ replied to PhillipBlunt's topic in Off-Topic General
But don't worry the G7 is giving 27 mill to fight the fires with Canada bucking up 15 mill of that.... -
Do you have a home mortgage? Kids? Other dependants? Damn coming up with $42,000 cash in 6 months is pretty impressive. Hell the interest rates on car financing or less than I make off investments, so why the hell would I not pay 3.49% when investments will make 5%+? I am ahead 1.5%. Hey I used to load the crap out of a little ole 4x2 Ranger with firewood. Now I load a 4x8 trailer and hook it up to my corolla and haul the bugger home with me
-
Thats pretty much the only way I want to buy a car. Bought my first one cash 13 years ago and still have it, best cash I spent especially when it was only 2 years old and barely driven. Now I want to buy an EV with cash, just got to save up a few more bucks first, hopefully get it before the Cons win the election and take away the rebate.

Yea they just brought out a provincial park ones a few years ago where all the funds go to the parks which is nice. Honestly I see the Canucks wanting a cut for their logo being used but maybe I am wrong. I just hate all the decisions that we make out here regardless of who our government is.
-
If you've met and seen our provincial governments over the last 30 years you would understand why we don't have them. Its the No Fun City. But no I wouldn't get it, I am to damn cheap to spend $75 on a licence plate.
