Debt consolidation companes in Canada?! Is it reliable?
Russ replied to kurtzfan's topic in Off-Topic General
I had a buddy just do this to clear his debt that he was battling with for the last handful of years. I don't know what it'll be like long term but for now he's happy with it. -
Apparently me haha. If we don't feel like going her work has a golf tourny we are going to give them too.

Wife text me last week "Want to go to the game in Abby" and I said I would pass as who knows how many actual guys will be there. Well she bought them anyways lol.

Yea pretty much same as me. On my personal house I paid for a bit of drywall mudding since that takes for god damn ever for me but for the most part its do what I can as I do it. Pretty much same boat as you just 1 kid instead of 3 Wife won't let us have anymore haha. Hope everything turns out how you want it!

Oh yea thats the debate you need to have when investing any money into homes these days. My wife and I bought our home and plan on living here until we retire (I got another 30-35 years) so for us dropping thousands into our place to make it how we want is worth it for us to live in. Lucky for me my dad is retired and helps me a ton with renos and building cabinetry/furniture, etc. so it makes it a hell of a lot cheaper and quicker than me just doing it.

Ugh that was our problem. Mother in law passed away, got the house out of probate and decided to reno it since it was still stuck in the 1970s (and really needed everything redone, no one was buying it in its current state). 60k later after getting a contractor in there and me doing a bulk of the work and its finally up on market. Problem is we might recoup 10-20k of that if lucky, but at the same time I am pretty sure that the state it was in that it wouldn't have sold anyways for ages and probably would have lost even more since this housing market is slow. So it was a slippery slope we took so we will see how it ends up in the end.

Weird I heard they had started to do that, maybe with all the backlash I saw online the scaled it all back.

Koodo is Telus, Virgin is Bell and Fido is Rogers. Basically the little brother companies don't have nearly the customer service/support that the big 3 do, thats where you're saving your money. If you ever have problems and call in they charge you a fee to talk to customer service, etc. You're almost paying a bit more just for better service at the end of the day if something goes wrong, atleast someone can help you easier.

They have a trailer though that costs money All I need is a tent and propane BBQ and I am good. But she see's lots of Mexico/Hawaii/Vegas vacations that people are on and I am like... Uh we have a 2 year old....
-
Got to go to Costco for those big bags now! Bingo thats the point people fail to remember all the time. My wife even gets swept up in it, seeing friends going on vacations or camping constantly, doing all types of different things while we stay at home. I remind her that we have a home and aren't living in a shoe box or our inlaws basement like some other friends who are affording these things because their living arangements are much different. Anyways.... Anyone want to buy a house in Chilliwack About to put one up for sale pretty quick here

Thats why lots of people I know moved out of town to other parts of the country, whether its up north or back east to get jobs, work, save and then have moved back and bought in the GVRD or Fraser Valley as opposed to directly in Vancouver.

Time for the Calgary Stampede to Evolve... ?
Russ replied to kingofsurrey's topic in Off-Topic General
Gut bacteria does change and adapts to your diet, and if you're ancestors ate a lot of raw meat, then over time the bacteria genetics get transferred into kids and it becomes easier and easier for future generations to digest those foods. Peoples gut bacteria from around the world range greatly because of this, its what their bodies have become accustomed to due to what they were able to eat as a diet (especially pre-industrial age). -

In fairness turkey is too dry anyways for the most part. Chicken and ham are far better for sandwiches.... Oh they better not be trying to ban those! My kid will go to school with a big ole steak every day then! -

I had someone explain it to me once a while back, theres actually a lot of rules to the animals to keep them as comfortable and happy as possible. These animals are worth a ton and are treated top notch because they can't afford any of them not being able to perform their bucking, etc. so lots of care goes into them. I was never hugely into the rodeo thing but went once because of free tickets and learned a lot from someone who really knew what was going on with them. -
From the start I think he knew the roadblocks but bought it just to look good PR wise, unfortunately its a major tax burden on all of us just for a PR stunt since I still have a hard time seeing it making any money as long as its government run even if it ever does get running.

I won't vote for the guy but I feel he does get a hard shake from other parties. Mind you Harper was getting bashed pretty hard right before the last election too. Don't care for Trudeau much and what he does but I am not going to base my opinions off 7 second clips, would watch a 60 second clip and get a better feel of what happened.

I have a feeling the last one is coming true if every insider across the country is saying the same thing unfortunately. -

I like Halford and Brough in the morning then usually swap over to Satiar Shah after that show ends then usually back to Sekeres and Price. I find those 3 lineups, I enjoy their insiders and interviews most. Halford is a soccer guy like me so I enjoy when he is talking about Whitecaps, etc. plus their Manager Monday is a nice segment I find. Same with Sekeres and Price, I listen to them more for the interviews than anything else, not their biggest fans but I find their insiders good to listen too. Satiar Shah is probably one of my favorites in Vancouver Radio scene, was pissed when he left TSN1040 becuase 650 has a hard time getting connection where i live so unless I stream data constantly on my phone, 650 isn't easy to get in clearly. -
I have always been 50/50 with Benning. I still think he's a whipping boy for the Aquillinis and does what he says on trying to make the playoffs when the team really needs to rebuild properly.

At the rate the Canucks are going I don't think Jim will be around another 3 years.
