Thats how the CBA is set up. Same idea when Quinn was coming, the question was will he possibly play 9 or 10 games because once he hit 10 he got arbritration rights and could be signed to offer sheets, at 9 games he would only have burned a year of his ELC. Lucky for us management never had to make that decision with his foot injury.

Nils Hoglander, does this 2nd round pick scream potential?

Buddy sent me an instagram video of the kids workouts, they looked intense. Just watch to the end. No need to question the guys dedication to getting stronger I don't think. -
Tell me im wrong. Edler is Worth 5 years @ 7.5 - 8 million per

IMO Granlund is long gone by then, hard time seeing us losing Motte since he's a 4th liner at best when seattle has the option to most teams 3rd liners at minimum. -

He might sign a big time contract, I just hope its not with the Canucks. I would much rather overpay him for 3 years with a full NTC (no NMC) rather than sign him longer but less AAV. -
I agree. I was bullied as a kid mercilessly and my parents tried to shield it from me as much as possible eventhough they don't know how much I was actually bullied. But at the same time I think I turned out better for it but maybe some kids these days don't turn out the way I did.

Never leave your house! Never go online! So much bullying in this world!

Don't get me wrong, bad drives should have their fees upped but I am more concerned about them pulling a fast one and making everyone pay another 6% year over year again...

Exactly its a lot of talk when chances are they will the the 4th or 5th party in total votes at the end of the day. Even PPC might get more with a lot of support I seem to see these days and we know Greens will have more following than the NDP. The Federal NDP can go screw themselves, they are the last party I want to see in power.

Vegan Firefighter Files Human Right Complaint Over Food Served

Not sure, my wife is vegetarian and if any meat even touches her food she will trash it (well actually I eat it), its some weird thing she does that she hates the taste of meat so bad that even a touch grosses her out. -
You just watch the Warriors play and they play so much better without Durant. He almost became a crutch to that team where if things weren't going great "give it to Durant and let him score off ISO". Now if things aren't going good they just keep doing what they do, move the ball and plenty of motion and it really is back to the type of basketball I liked watching the year before they won the championship when I started watching them.

I hope RJ falls to 4th or the grizz somehow feel they want him at 2nd. I just don't want to see the guy end up in NY or the Cavs.

Its a matter of cutting and being able to keep up with the speedy guys. Its harder for bigger guys to twist and go. I have never seen the kid play so I have no idea what his skating is like. Its one thing to be big and skilled and quick at the juniors level but some guys peak at that point, not saying he has, hell he could be similar to a Chara who is amazingly good, or he could end up being big and be more like an Andrew Alberts, who wasn't a bad skater, but top end skaters made him look silly from time to time just because if he got beat he couldn't recover quite quick enough.
-
How well is his skating though? That would be my biggest concern over anything. Big guys generally can't move as well and being against u18 peers he might be able to get away with it but what happens when he's playing against quicker NHL players? Someone like Myers you can see the flaws, Chara is just so smart you can't compare him.

I always find it funny when people bash the highway in Abby, theres no where to expand it like in Surrey/Langley. They build side roads and buisnesses way to close to the highway where there is 0 room for extra lanes so I have just accepted as a Valley kid that it'll never be changed. But don't worry the NDP just spent 25 mill installing some dumb ass speed sigs from Abby to Chilliwack.... Not like thats going to do $&!# for how people drive, having changing speed limits I tihnk its going to cause more problems than solve them. Now at the same time I hate all parties and their stupid crap to screw the average joe equally

I am nitoriously bad for screwing up hawkeye (Clint) and Falcon (Sam). Why I always do that is beyond me.

I wonder if they are going to go in a different direction. Is Hawkeye really going to be the face of the Captain America franchise now? I can't remember what happens in the comics when he obtained the shield, I never had a chance to read many at all (honestly I thought Bucky was getting the shield, thought he would be a similar/seamless transition so Hawkeye threw me off). I think we will see more of the spiderman/black panther/etc. story lines and the Avengers story may take a back seat for a handful of years before they assemble the crew again and then I assume it'll be because of a Thanos type enemy.
-
Yea this chapter of the series is done. Now they will spin off into prequils and broaden out with many of the other characters.

You want to give up a 10th overall for Nylander and have to take Marleau (eventhough theres no way he would damn well waive and move his family to Vancouver). I would rather gamble on one of the US wingers in the draft and see if they can crack the roster next year. Nylander is soft and I wouldn't trade him for a 10th overall, I think the guy is going to be a really good player in the league but pulling him off that stacked Leafs roster I think you would see his production fall heavily and not look nearly as dangerous. Also why are you so hell bent on the WHL? Theres 2 other Canadian divisions, US, and Europe to all pick through so what does banging the drum at the WHL have to do with anything?

Florida Senate approves bill allowing armed teachers
Russ replied to Mackcanuck's topic in Off-Topic General
I wanted to be a teacher for years growing up then when I realized how crappy kids had become with their attitudes towards adults I said screw it (eventhough elementary or middle probably would have been better ages for me, no shop classes though which I wanted to teach) then I wanted to be a cop since I always liked the idea of that growing up also, then as I was starting to go through interviews I realized how much of dicks people are to cops for just upholding the law. Now I say screw it, don't work around the public much so I don't have to deal with jerkoff people. -
[Rumor] Panarin Interested in Vancouver
Russ replied to SuitnTie's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I assume its the RD vs LD. He's basically Gardiner which I hope we don't go after either. If they really want someone they may as well throw higher pay with short term at a Tyler Myers type player and not give up assets.
