  1. As good as Pierce and Garnett were, man they were at the very tail end of the teams. NBA didn't need to change the rules, they just needed to point and laugh at the Nets stupidity on those trades.
  2. I am sure Jaylen Brown was one of the Brooklyn picks too? Either way Brown is going to be a star also, the guy has the skill and drive. Him and Tatum will be fun for years to come.
  3. Still gave up that Brooklyn pick which was quite a high pick but overall yea they fleeced them and who knows if any other teams were even really offering much for him if he didn't resign. Those Brooklyn trades are the gift that keeps on giving. Couple down years but overall they are treanding upwards quicker than a non-bottom feeder should. Yea those 2 3's definately should have been called. Definitely a typical Warriors 3rd quarter though, lets see how the 4th ends up.
  4. It very much is an accomplishment regardless, Boston still has many high end draft pick talent on their team but definitely would have been a different challenge with Hayward and Kyrie were there, I don't think even LeBron could have lifted his scrubs up that high. I will say this year making it to the finals is definitely his biggest accomplishment since his original debut with the Cavs in the finals prior to his Miami stint. I have Jordan as my #1 personally, I got to see him play once and it was fascinating, and maybe its just the sheer competitiveness that drove him, not saying LeBron isn't driven by wanting to win at all, but its hard for me to put him above Jordan. I would definitely put Jordan and LeBron as 1A and 1B with no clear winner over each other though. I rewatch and remember some of the Jordan era and it was such a pound and beat you up type game back then as opposed to the ticky tacky fouls of today but each player excelled well above their peers in their respective eras.
  5. I think Livingston is long gone after this year. Iggy can still play hard shutdown minutes so I can see them doing whatever they can to keep him.
  6. ^^ Haha yeah right, he loves handing out blank cheques that the average tax payer then has to composate for and make the middle class even poorer.
  7. Some say its a lot more fun, I think there is way to many tippy touchey fouls that really shouldn't be called. Especially when the offensive player initiates the contact to draw a foul (someone goes for a fly by block a foot off the 3 point shooter and they jump into the person when clearly they weren't going to foul them in the first place or how guys lower their shoulders and drive through a defender and get a call). I want them to go back a bit more similarly to the 90s when guys made an effort to score and just draw fouls, makes the game better and less stop and go. Would be interesting to see Celtics-Rockets, I think the Rockets have a lot more fire power than the Celtics and would just get outscored at the end of the day, but hell this team has greatly exceeded my expectations since Hayward went down and then Kyrie at the most important time of the year. Celtics-Dubs should be a good series but I still think that is a 5 game Dubs win at best, I just see the Dubs playoff intensity go sky high especially on the defensive side that they can shut down anyone if they are healthy.
  8. Warrirors will let the Rockets go ISO ball all day, with their passing ability and movement to get open looks they will hit those 3s all series long if Houston doesn't pick up their game. Watching this Celtics-Cavs game, man I didn't think the Celtics had it in them to compete after Kyrie went down but damn are they playing awesome!
  9. Drumheller is a must if going through Alberta!
  10. Oooo that sounds good! Hopefully cauliflower doesn't skyrocket like it did at one point last year. Oh I know theres lots of good chilis out there but beans make the chili! Actually the best thing my wife made the other day was basically a baked hamburger in a big baking dish. Meat, cheese, mayo, mustard (I think), pickles, onions all baked one layer ontop of another. Oh man was that delicious. I got to say it was a bit weird going to keto, never really did anything with cheese/butter but those are pretty much staples in the keto diet so to suddenly incorporate them it was definitely a change. NucksPatsFan, if you have done keto did you find your appetite almost suppressed? I used to eat a good 3 hearty meals a day with a snack at night, since I hoped on keto, I have my bacon/eggs in the morning and some reason aren't hungry until 4 in the afternoon as opposed to the 11am that I used to be.
  11. I haven't had time to go to the gym as much as I had hoped a month ago where I really decided to ramp up my health, shoulder started acting up and knees are beat up every week at soccer. I am hoping to start hitting the gym more and harder in the coming weeks and getting out to do many more bike rides/runs with my newborn and hopefully that will help now that the weather is looking up. I did change my diet though, about 3.5 weeks into a ketogenic diet and I have lost 20 lbs with a few cheat days in there (went on a 1 night cruise and I got my moneys worth of food). Since I changed my diet and cut out carbs/sugar, the few cheat days I have I realize I really don't care for the sweetness of sugars anymore or even bread really, they just don't appeal to me as much. Still miss my pasta mostly though and probably chili but whatever. The only downside is eating healthy is expensive haha! I used to get a bag of pasta/sauce and be able to have dinner with lunch leftovers for about $2-3, now that I don't have those cheap foods in my diet, man has the food bill gone up. Gotta go plant some more seeds and get some more veggies growing.
  12. Now does the lower wages have to do with different jobs from one headquarter to another? I don't know the specific jobs of the new Van headquarter and the other ones around the USA so depending on what exactly the jobs are they will have fluxuating pay. Funny thing is if they can't fill the jobs they will have to pony up and pay more to employees to get them and keep them anyways. Yea its too bad, now I know wages are low but wages are massive compared to China, Singapore, etc. and they already have the the refineries ready to go. Its unfortunate, this would be a perfect idea, if there was a way for the province to make its money back somehow I would be all for this refinery being proposed but unfortunately I find it hard to imagine every recovering the investment.
  13. Haha looking at the building I highly doubt there will be grunt workers there, it'll be all suits and white collar workers so they get bathroom breaks!
  14. Oh it very much is. Come next election people will split between NDP and Conservative I believe. Many conservatives who went Liberal last election I bet will jump back. Its going to be interesting to see next election if they even bring Trudeau back out for the Liberal party. Has he done to much bad negativity among Canadians since he took office?
  15. As much as I am a fan of both of them, Lebron is the best of this generation by far. Top 2 ever, I can see that debate on either side. The game was so much different back then, Bill Russell, Bird, Robertson, were all spectacular players.
  16. Jumpity jump jump jumpity jump jump!
  17. Well I blame the 50 cents or whatever it is in taxes on the high prices more than Horgan, I was just afraid this pissing contest would bump it up to $2+ like some analysts were predicting. Oh yea greed is the biggest thing thats why I always laugh at the "oil price breakdown" stickers on pumps and I am like uhhhh.... wasn't oil double the price per barrel not that long ago....
  18. According to twitter I am reading sounds like its going through and Horgan "got his teeth kicked in". God I hope this drops fuel prices now, its to damn pricey to drive around.
  19. Toronto In July 2013, Toronto was pounded with 126 millimetres of rain in under two hours. More than a billion litres of sewage and storm water overflowed onto city streets and cascaded into Toronto's harbour. Heavy rains often overwhelm Toronto's old sewer system, forcing the city to bypass water-treatment plants and send raw sewage into Lake Ontario Hahaha damn that would have stunk!
  20. India... Damn didn't realize they went that far to be considered the fraser valley!
  21. Man outside of the first round its a crap shoot. Who the hell knows how a kid in later rounds can turn out, some can disappear into nothing and be forgotten they were ever drafted and some can become Hobey Baker finalists. The fact people are trash talking late round picks makes me chuckle. My only bummer was Ronning not being grabbed with a 6th or 7th round pick, I wanted him but wasn't the end of the world, as good as he played for the Giants this year he is a long shot to make the NHL I think.
  22. Alright hold my beer I'm going in blind!
  23. Not going to lie. If it happened to land in my front yard I will be out there with a axe keeping people away! I could use that metal for some projects I want to build!
  24. I have a tendancy to yoyo my diet a lot. I play soccer 1-2 times a week but definately don't keep up fitness much anymore, mainly because I bought a house and started dumping all my time and energy into renoing it for almost 3 years now and it was honestly go and grab whatever fast food or frozen pizza, etc. I could on my way home always just so I could dive into trying to get my place done until I had to sleep and then wake up and go to work.\. About 2 years ago my wife's work had a weight loss competition and just by eating healthy I dropped 25 pounds in 2 months, but I ended up 3rd (dammit!). I figure with our change in diet, these extra walks with my kid and going to the gym a few times a week I can drop that, if not more than the last time around and hopefully with renos having an end in sight I can dedicate myself to fitness more so I can be healthier around my kid. If I did a solid month of actually being back in the gym, I could get myself in decent shape I feel, I was in really good shape about 4 years ago with the gym and playing soccer a bunch. It just sucks seeing how I used to be only 4 years ago to now but knowing priorities changed it was inevitable. The nice thing is cravings don't bother me a ton, I don't have a ton, I think its harder for my wife since she loves cheeses and ice cream, etc. while I am keeping my cravings in check currently just by 3 pieces of bacon/eggs in the morning for breakfast (thats sorta my "cheat" I am using). My goal is by summer I can get back to my old sub 50 min 10k run, obviously won't get to my peak highschool form time but if I can get under and hour and push for 50 min I will be happy.
  25. Way to go! My wife and I have really decided to change our diets. No more pizza for us Thats our biggest weakness. We definately have already changed our eating habits, higher protein. less carbs and 0 chips, etc. I am on paternity leave right now so whenever the sun is nice I like to take my son out for a walk, hasn't been great weather but definitely getting there. Just need to find the motivation to go to the gym a little more, its either 3am or 5pm when the gym starts filling up. The walks are doing well for me and hopefully get the stroller out and start jogging more soon. Figure I am going to shoot for 30 lbs to be lost by May.
