Stop gap signing till Myers expires or is traded. Good signing, like the 1 year term although it might have driven the cap hit up slightly.

I actually wouldn't mind him for depth if he's 2 way deal around 800k in NHL, 400k AHL.

I wouldn't be surprised if many teams, including the Canucks have contingency trades in place if they do or do not land the guys that they are targeting in free agency. I would think the rumored deal that we have in place with San Jose would be to move Myers IF we land the RD that we're chasing.

He's talented, but I'd get tired of watching the cheap shots and dangerous plays that could easily end someone's career. Playing with an edge is one thing, but putting people's life on the line is just plain stupid and selfish.

Yup! A also remember when half this board went nuts because we didn't draft Benson. Will be interesting to see how he turns out in 4 or 5 years... This list has a fair share of failed 1st round picks. As I like to tell everyone, there is NO guarantees in the draft.

I think Dermott might have worked out okay if he could have stayed healthy.

No surprises there. I still think that we sign Bear, but giving him a 2.4+ Qualifying offer at the moment, makes zero sense. Needs to be closer to 1.75 - 1.85 per season.
