  1. If Bo is willing to sign a long term for 6.5 million, for a Center with his faceoff numbers and 6 straight 20+ goal seasons (he would have had 20+ in 2020/21 except for the shortened season. A guy who did 10 goals in 17 games the last time we made the playoffs, 6.5 x 5 to 8 years? DONE, sign it and lock him in! He's worth a lot more than that on the open market.
  2. For a quality top 4, RD who can hit, skate and shoot, would make that deal in a minute, as would many GM's in this league. He is a far better D than many fans give him credit for, and that is backed up by stats.
  3. I don't think he'd be thrilled about it, but he's the guy that they really need to move.
  4. I don't believe it for a minute, but if Tavares was willing to lose the NMC as part of a trade and it was something like: To Vancouver, Tavares, 3 million retained, Toronto's 1st round 2022 pick #25 OA, Kerfoot, Villeneuve To Toronto, Miller, Myers (1 million retained), Highmore, Ferland (so Leafs can pull a Lightening), 2023 4th round pick (from Rangers) I might have to stop and think about that...
  5. We are in a lot better shape than a lot of fans want to admit. There's a reason why the new management team isn't jumping into a tear down and rebuild, they see the overall talent level that we have accumulated and understand that we can get there from here without doing a full rebuild. We need to do a couple of strategic trades that round out our lineup and put us in a position to compete every night and in the playoffs. Moving Miller, which I really believe we will do in the next 3 weeks, will bring back the assets necessary to shore up RD and our bottom 6. There will likely be more moved than just Miller, I think there's a fairly strong chance that Myers also gets moved.
  6. We already did the rebuild, once BB took over, we performed the rest of the year, in the top 10 of NHL teams. We ran out of runway on making the playoffs.
  7. And then, 4 years from now, someone else will start a, "Let's blow it up..." Thread, just like others have done, countless times over the past 3 years. We have a solid core to build around, let's adjust and build! At some point, you have to stop blowing it up and commit to the players that you have and START competing! I swear, if certain fans ran this franchise, they would never stop chasing a tank so they could perpetually go after the first overall pick!
  8. Exactly, and our worst case for next season is, if he's not part of a hockey trade, and he shows up and doesn't perform in camp, we waive him and send him to Abbotsford and then look at buying him out next summer when its a lot ore affordable on the cap. Buy him out this year, we've got 4 years of carrying dead space. Buy him out next year, there's only 2 years carrying the dead space and the first year is only 483k cap hit.
  9. He hasn't developed as hoped, but never hurts to have the depth. He has looked ok filling in on callups. Maybe he's going to be a late bloomer? Worst case, he spends the season in Abbotsford again, or gets claimed on waivers for depth for another organization.
  10. Dickinson had one off year, for the most part, he has been a solid defensive player for his whole career. I think management is willing to give the benefit of doubt to him, that a full year of BB, right from the start of camp and he'll be back to being the player he was in Dallas. He was definitely playing better the last 10 or 15 games of the season than he was in the first 2/3rds.
  11. it really doesn't hurt us, unless there's a real compelling reason to move it, I'd rather just let the contract run out next summer.
  12. We also have 3.5 million LTIR with Ferland. This has been a really good whirlwind of signings the last few days. We're looking good for next season, even before we start trading. We're in good position heading into the draft weekend. Happy that we managed to get this done with Boeser and not have to commit to a NTC or anything.
  13. Really good rate for us as he should have a strong bounce back season. Would have liked to have gotten him locked in for 5+, but this is good!
  14. Really awesome news on all 3. I was hoping that Juulsen would get another year to show that he can move past his injury problems and become a solid RD for us. He looked generally good in the games he played for us.
  15. I "think" he's already here, at least I hope so. Russia is sliding back 40 years into the real cold war era of relations with North America and the rest of the world.
  16. So, I'm guessing that any Russian players eligible for the entry draft next weekend, are going to fall in the draft to where it's worth taking a chance that you can get them out of Russia at some point.
  17. Not sure if it's a situation of waiting for more than he's worth, or just more than the Laughs can afford unless they can unload Tavares somewhere and restructure their cap.
  18. Yes, in a minute I would. You'd be consistently drafting in the later part of the first round with him in the lineup. Go check Hockey DB for a few years of later first round picks and try and find any that have Draisaitl type of impact, or even close.
  19. Not sure if I speak for all of CDC, but.... Who cares and why is this relevant to anything or him joining the team?
