  1. I don't get this critique? Green has given lots of young players chances/starts
  2. I would say his value ranges from a 2nd round pick to a 3rd + a low level prospect I would say there's a very very low chance anyone would give up a 1st for a player who has already shown he won't play in the AHL and is now suspended by his team - and additionally has his agent doing the work of seeking a trade on his behalf (when market levels are high, management can find it on its own). Someone brought up the Lias Andersson pick as an example - he garnered a 60th overall pick (late 2nd) and had already had some AHL exp - at the same age, similar draft spot I would say a Jasek or Aiden McDonough-level prospect and a mid 3rd round pick should be enough.
  3. having Chiasson in the top-6 during 5-on-5 makes me feel ill
  4. rarely healthy is he so waivers for conditioning it will be
  5. i feel like there's warm bodies on the FA market that would fit the Canucks' needs better and still be better than MacEwen, namely Bobby Ryan (better offensively) and Mark Jankowski (pretty good PKer) so i don't really like this move saying that they must have felt he fit in the dressing room really well
  6. Based on my somewhat limited knowledge - I would say they both have high end potential. I think Pods has a higher chance of sticking to the NHL because he has other skillsets besides his offense to fall back on, whereas Kravtsov is more one dimensional. Saying that, Kravtsov has a higher end offensive potential - like, when he was drafted I think people thought he would become a 30 goal scorer. They're both big wingers (6'3ish each) and could actually compliment each other well - they both thrive on their off-wing and Kravtsov is more of a finisher where Pods can definitely score but he can also drive plays. Both were top 10 picks in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
  7. Strome has paced for 55 points over his last 156 games (3 seasons). Maybe something could be built around Kravtsov++ for Strome and reunite the bros, give NYR the depth
  8. Yea - Andersson has proven a little bit more on NA ice. But still, I agree, I could see them getting a 2nd from a team confident that he would make their NHL roster, or a 3rd and a middling prospect more likely as he is technically suspended right now.
  9. Haha I was mostly joking. Just don't think he's a fit for the Canucks needs. His only strength is in close to the net on a PP with players who are better than him. Just put Podz there, if anything he'd do better and be more useful in the initial set up anyway
  10. I try to pull from everything. His offensive stats look good but from what I've seen + read + and then in add in underlying #s it doesn't look great, plus the fact that he can't find a contract and didn't play well in a defensive role on his PTO
  11. I doubt they get a first. When agents start exploring trades, the value is usually extremely low
  12. going full EA Sports here, but if I was GM I would trade Jasek + a 3rd for Kravy Sign Bobby Ryan to 1.125/1 year Sign Mark Jankowski 750k/1 year Release Chiasson Waive Dowling Waive Petan Miller - Petey - Garland Ryan - Horvat - Hoglander Pearson - Dickinson - Highmore (bottom 6 lines interchangeable TOI but this is as a checking line) Kravy - Jankowski - Podz (scoring against scraps) Big Mac/Lammikko PKers: Jank, Dickie, Pearson, Highmore Re-assess as injured players come back
  13. Not a 'slave' but I didn't watch him much last year - Ottawa bloggers and stats both say he was a liability on the ice and now he has no contract. He was tried in Colorado pre-season on the PK and wasn't effective, and was released early.
  14. I doubt they'll take on another Russian who doesn't wanna be here But I agree the value is a around there. Low level prospect and a 3rd. Linus Karlsson, Jackson Kunz, Jasek?
  15. I was somewhat on the Anisimov train but his underlying #s last year sucked bad
  16. 3rd round pick + a low/mid level prospect for Kravtsov Release Chiasson let's go
  17. Rangers are only sending him down to protect the likes of Julien Gauthier and Jarred Tinordi from waivers Let's get this kid @Jim Benning
  18. I would gladly take Kravtsov over Petan but I disagree that Gadj outplayed Petan this training camp
  19. i mean i think they hate the pay cut which is fair if you're leaving one job (in the KHL) that pays more and is closer to home for a better one but then don't get it, and instead get a paycut, get shuttled to some random town and in a league with less comforts. lots of people would hate that it would also be one thing if he was outplayed at camp, but he wasn't, they're protecting questionable NHL-level depth and he has to lose money for it
