  1. https://www.foreverblueshirts.com/new-york-rangers-send-down-vitali-kravtsov-and-morgan-barron-to-start-the-season/ Really Chris Drury protecting a bunch of plugs from waivers (Julien Gauthier, Jarred Tinordi, Libor Hajek) at Kravtsov's expense $ At least Benning and Green run an honest training camp and moves on if players are outplayed (Juolevi, Gadj) If his agent is seeking the trade his value must be super low right now. I say low risk, high reward
  2. Podkolzin and Kravtsov both big wingers playing on their respective wings, both on their offhand - let's do it Miller - Petey - Garland Pearson - Bo - Hoggie Kravy - Petan - Podz Highmore - Dickinson - Lammikko Big Mac
  3. Putting out my hot season prediction that Podz will get 30-33 points in his rookie year while moving around the line-up.
  4. Yep agree 100%- sad because the healthy roster looked like Benning finally made the appropriate adjustments to the bottom-6 (and to give Bo some relief) but injuries have derailed that before the season even started. With Greener in the hot seat I can't imagine he deviates from this plan while Motte & Sutts are out.
  5. Sign Jankowski as PKer/4th line C & Bobby Ryan as Brock stand-in - release Chiasson & waive Dowling.

I am not apposed to having Ryan fill a spot over Chiasson at all.

me neither but now he's formally been signed

  6. I'm neutral on Green being kept/fired these days but sorry there's no good strategy where Chiasson gets a top-6 spot and Hoglander doesn't.
  7. Bobby Ryan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Alex Chiasson
  8. this is what Green is trying today: I really don't want to see Chiasson in the top 6 - I hope Brock returns swiftly
  9. Would have been an interesting PTO here to compete in camp and test chemistry with the team + ability to PK, but not worth a pick up especially after trading for Lammikko.
  10. Juleovi trade, and Bowey and Hamonic waived leaves only 7 dmen. Something else coming?

Motte is solid, but what good is he if he's injured half the time?   Also, with Dickinson manning our 4th line, I think our 4th line will be pretty good as is.  Motte is nice to have, but we can survive without him.  Move Motte to clear cap space, or as trade bait for a new RD.

Hamonic (3 million) + Motte (1.225 million) = 4.225 million = can afford 4.1 million of Josh Manson.

Burroughs wasn’t waived so he is still on the main roster.  Rathbone wasn’t re- assigned either.

hunt too. just getting down to 23 man roster.

  11. Tragic ending to the 4th overall pick but in the current context not bad move Juulsen adds to the BC flavour they're giving the new Abby team. Straight from Surrey - big right handed defenseman. Was also once a touted 1st round pick a couple years before Olli. Already passed thru waivers so guaranteed depth. Juho Lammikko is interesting. He's bounced around leagues a bit. I think he played in the SM Liiga when he was like 4 years old (jk, but he was young when he started). He PKed a little bit, and throws over a hit per game. Unfortunately isn't waiver ineligible. Juolevi's bag skate and gaming habits obviously ostracized him here, he didn't seem to fit in personality-wise. In the end, this is better than losing him to waivers, and it's probably best for him to get a fresh start.

  13. I agree but I wonder if his bag skate antics kind of ostracized him. Having three offensively dynamic defensemen down the left side would make for a pretty interesting season (Hughes, OEL, Rathbone) with Schenn and Hunt as extras I could see him moved for a Sonny Milano, Cal Fleury, Nic Meloche, or Alex Volkov type who could immediately go help Abby and be called up later if needed.
  14. I figure his value may be someone who has already passed through waivers so the Canucks can guarantee someone of value going to Abby rather than losing Olli for nothing
  15. Just looking through the stat lines of the 4 pre-season games Brown played - seems like he was given decent opportunity but didn't score any points, face-offed under 50 percent, a few SOG and some SH TOI. The STL Athletic writer said this:
  16. It sucks that Logan Brown did not get waived slightly earlier - he could be an interesting player to add to the bottom-6 while Sutter and Motte are out but he has almost no NHL PK experience. It would be one thing if Green had trialed him on the PK and then could make a decision. Saying that, it seems like Dowling and MacEwen are being tried there - but not to great success. Maybe a risk is worth it. When Brown was drafted he was considered a great 2-way prospect, he definitely has the size. Not sure about AHL PK experience. He's not the greatest skater but if he has Highmore and Lockwood on his wings, they could offset that. I dunno could be a Mark Stone type.
  17. sign Jankowski for 4th line C

The best player from his draft so why not?

  18. ok Jankowski is actually a player that can PK. He was 2nd amongst CGY forwards 2 years ago in SH TOI/GP two years ago and 4th amongst forwards on a deeper Pens team last year. He's a big body, has put up 30+ points, former first round pick, has scored a bunch of short handed goals. Could actually be a longer term Sutter replacement with two high energy wingers like Motte, Highmore and/or Lockwood on the side - and it seems like he could be had for league minimum.
  19. LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO on first glance, i've thought he'd be a good fit. but this article gives me pause: https://lastwordonsports.com/hockey/2020/11/25/why-artem-anisimov-might-not-have-spot-with-the-ottawa-senators/
