  1. He had said he was confused and not fond of all the extra-curricular stuff that goes on, especially when he had to fight Benn after hitting him clean. Perhaps from knowing the game now and maturity, he's better-prepared to deal with it. And in reality, if/when he establishes himself and his reputation, he won't need to do much of that stuff because most people won't want to mess with him.
  2. Or being called "near waiver wire status", by the media no less.
  3. About as legit as MacInnis' 100.4. Dude's not even original... https://www.ksdk.com/article/sports/al-macinnis-master-of-the-hardest-shot-contest/63-9d885e0c-1639-42ed-a63c-30febbb8dac1
  4. Motte and Stecher fit their tiny mold, then add in BreezeBah as the francophonie pièce de résistance. Ça marche!
  5. Have watched it very closely for years now, how it's all shaping up in the future. There is no "Canuck cap Hell", for this year or next. We all know Petey and Hughes are due after that, but that's still 1.5 years away, when many contracts will be gone and lots can and will happen between now and then. There's no pending doom like some are trying to portray it; it's nothing but fear-mongering trying to get listenership. Calgary and Edmonton were right up against it last summer and they made it somehow without ridiculous moves like giving up Virtanen just to get rid of Eriksson, such as was TMZ's laughable poll this morning.
  6. Please turn off TMZ, Dhaliwal, Sekeres, and the rest of the whinging media buffoons and their incessant "CAP HELL! CAP HELL!" mantra. It's almost as if they get together to write their chorus so they can sing in sweet trolling harmony. They have absolutely NOTHING to complain about the team now, so this is the only negative (false) narrative they can manufacture. Is it just me, or is that not so completely obvious? One simple look at capfriendly and all this nonsense evaporates.
  7. I think we're better-off with Sutter, he's a better fit in our lineup right now. Sure we have another year of cap, but next year isn't a problem anyway. Scoring isn't an issue, we need to tighten up on preventing.
  8. Benning said as much today. He's happy with not only how the team is playing, but the chemistry that has developed. So he's not only more hesitant to try to add a top-6 now, but figures there is enough in the pipeline to supplement or "add" internally. Not only with Ferland and Leivo to return, but others like Bailey he'd like to have a look at as well. No to Granlund, especially at that price. Kreider would be great, especially for playoff heaviness, but at what cost. Not to mention there will be other suitors willing to bid him up. Edmonton and Calgary would love to get someone like Kreider into their fluffy lineups.
  9. Check back in this thread say... between pages 300 and 1000. Non-stop disparaging and ridiculing by him, the frog, and their usual 2-3 other Jake-mocking buddies that polluted this thread daily, calling anyone with patience "blind fanboys" and such. And as if we didn't KNOW he'd come back with "Oh, I knew he had it in him, I've always been a fan." The block feature is what's made this thread bearable the past 5 years. Good on ya Jake, shove that crow right down their pieholes.
