Watch the Canucks troll the local media with mystery, then have him come first out of the tunnel tomorrow, wearing #61.
-
Must be because, like The 5th Line says about himself, you're the center of attention and I'm obsessed with you.

Non-Canuck prospect makes one good play -- "We coulda had him! Blew that pick." Non-Canuck prospect scores one goal -- "We coulda had him! Another blown pick."

Written off at 20 in his second pro season. Sounds about right.

2017 NHL Draft - Chicago, Illinois June 23-24 2017

This is where JB and his scouts will earn it -- picking the best guy out of that broad range. Fortunately there isn't Calgary, Edmonton, or Toronto picking near us, so we won't be (as) deluged with the endless "shoulda taken" if they happen to make the NHL or put up numbers before our prospect. -

How about Glass if we're outside the top-5? He seems to tick a lot of the JB boxes, including high work ethic. -
No, but sounds good. Of course they have all the resources in the world at the Centre of the Universe, and could even segment it so fanboys have a station, haters have another, etc.

I don't know the details of the new media deal, but maybe we'll get a new squad here with guys like Hirsch and Randork who will at least be straight-shooters and not twist things around playing bad-cop just to get ratings and boost their ego by enraging the simple-minded in the fanbase against the team.

Thanks, he confirmed that he's now 213lbs. Some other interesting info, including the combine where he said 29 teams interviewed him and the Canucks had 16 people there whereas most teams had 5 or 6. Another good one was what piece of advice he'd have for himself as a rookie, and he said to earn it, give it your all, and be an everyday player -- ironically exactly what management said they wanted out of him in sending him down. He's sounding more mature, more straight-laced now. Good interviews.

And once again today, it only takes a few minutes to hear them to do it again. Today it was actually the normally Pratt counterbalance Satiar who claimed "Management said at the beginning of the year they were a playoff team." Er no, they said their goal was to compete for one of the two wildcard spots. Maybe it was because they had Gallagher on that he wanted to join in the ghoulish moaning and making up of refuse to support a narrative. Then in hisses the salivating goblin with "lies lies lies!" What was pretty funny though was them playing the WWF Kane music to introduce him. That should be TonyG's theme music for any segment.

Can see what people mean when they talk about his skating. It's not that he doesn't get around alright, but that he doesn't keep his feet moving. This is something that Gaunce admitted he had to learn, too -- his speed was decent and improved further, but it was only once he kept moving and stopped the gliding and coasting that his game really picked up. Sounds like Virtanen's been learning that as well... even though Jake at a coast still flies by most people. All in all, some Greening might be the best thing for Brock right now.

The problem is that these guys (except Blow Jake) are supposed to have and be communicating sports knowledge, and when people hear them say stuff like that it just perpetuates the "Canucks management are incompetent, don't know what they're doing, Toronto's doing a #properrebuild" media narrative. Fine to have that opinion, but when it's based on FALSE information there needs to be some accountability. In this particular case, that information has been well-known, even since the draft 3 years ago. Btw, it wasn't Jake or Pratt that said it but a woman they had on in the studio, yet nobody corrected her and instead just played along and perpetuated the moaning and bashing.

The morning buffoons on TMS1040 were doing the hand-wringing 2014 draft redo, and made the comment "The Canucks didn't develop Jake properly, not like the Leafs did with Nylander. He didn't go to Utica in his rookie season..."

Lookie all them C's at the top of the order... -
lol Double LOL!! Try to keep up, and listen now: I ("we") don't, it doesn't, and it's YOU who incessantly act the contrarian trying to stir things up, quite evidently because you crave attention.

Aiming to please...

No reason at all to trade Hutton unless the return is very significant.
-
Ah, so now you're resorting to baseless name-calling -- if you must, at least make it something relevant and meaningful. FYI, it isn't "bravery" to continue to hold to claims when they have been repeatedly refuted and debunked, and now in this case, even quantitatively.
-
Thanks, but "he's regressed" -- The 5th Line will be by shortly with his full and thorough debunk.
-
Oh thank goodness. Not even finished his draft +1 year, and there's still a Lloyd Christmas chance he's not a complete bust.
-
Granlund out, preparing the way.

Speaking of small, how's this guy doing at 5'9 181 in his first full NHL season? Victor Arvidsson 4th round 2014 26G 26A = 52P in 69GP
