  1. Not uncommon. Someone else on here had said they went to school or such with Sam Reinhart in Cranbrook and he was the same way. They're all kids, remember.
  2. As per the article, he's also on a team with limited offensive players and few NHL draft picks.
  3. Gotta keep things straight! Rodin already requires protection because of pro games played, same as Larsen.
  4. Consider -- if he doesn't do overly well, we'll have no problem with him exposed in the expansion draft. Plus we can sign him cheap again next year. </worries>
  5. The boxscore showed a match penalty for high-sticking, but now it says a double-minor.
  6. Evidently the worst possible thing for our prospects is to be on TV.
  7. All that was required. Felt sorry for the goalie, eased up on him.
  8. He would have likely made the team this year, if signed. He will walk on as early as after his season ends, or perhaps go to Utica. But he's legit more NHL-ready than any prospect we've had since Horvat. Schmaltz was good but Brock was the driver of that line.
  9. It's happening as we watch. Last night for example, Bo looked like the offensive leader out there, especially in the first half of the game where the Sedins had been less noticeable. He will take over by attrition, by getting more and more icetime, especially at crucial parts of the game. When he came out on the ice it was like the first line was on, as he was driving the play. He is at or very near to their status now, and will match or supercede them by the end of this season, perhaps even sooner.
  10. It's a 3-star sweep! Can't believe we got this guy on such a sweet contact, and without even taking up a roster spot.
  11. Where's Rolio "just watch" del Fuego at?
  12. He's come as advertised from a poster here who watched him play in ND -- claimed he had the best compete level of any player he'd seen. The confidence on top of that is what really sets him apart. Not only plays with it consistently, but mistakes don't seem to phase him or damage it at all; he just goes right back at it.
  13. 8th in the nation in scoring. Pretty decent for a 5th round sophomore.
  14. Canucks: Luongo at $800K (6 years) Higgins at $800K (2 years) Leafs: Horton at $5.3mil (4 years) Lupul at $5.2mil (2 years) Laich at $3.5mil Michalek at $3mil Greening at $1.7mil Kessel at $1.2mil (6 years) Gleason at $1.2mil (2 years) Cowan at $700K (2 years) Now that's some deadweight.
  15. Lupul? JVR? Plus other cap deadweight like Michalek and Horton they were forced to take on in getting rid of those old Leafs. In comparison the Canucks have just the Sedins, Burrows, and Hansen remaining.
  16. Rockin' the corsi world so far... http://stats.hockeyanalysis.com/ratings.php?db=201617&sit=5v5&type=corsi&teamid=29&pos=defense&minutes=100&disp=1&sort=PCT&sortdir=DESC
  17. Benning got lucky with Stecher, but completely failed with Lucic. See how it works?
  18. Canucks brought him in to the development camp in 2014, for starters.
  19. He's just breaking into the league -- earned his spot, playing pretty solidly; there's no rush. He'll probably start getting some PK time at some point as he continues to progress.
  20. Did get two tonight but definitely has had a slow start, and with little Ralph out now it's not going to get any easier.
