  2. ^^ Couldn't help but think 'Bee Gees' when the chorus hit.
  3. TRADE: The Winnipeg Jets have made a trade with the Montreal Canadiens. To MTL: Mikhail Grabovski To WPG: Andrei Loktionov Michael Latta
  4. TRADE: The Calgary Flames have made a trade with the Colorado Avalanche. To COL: Jiri Tlusty To CGY: Magnus Paajarvi David Jones Tomas Hyka
  5. No worries. First, add me to the convo where the player(s) was qualified, so I can mark them down as qualified and keep that updated. The more caught up I can be with this part (hint hint everyone) the easier it will be at the end of June. Second, add the agent that should be working that players case to the conversation as well, and the agent that you had originally sent the offers to can then leave the convo and let the other agent take over.
  6. TRADE: The Winnipeg Jets have made a trade with the Colorado Avalanche. To WPG: Jon Merrill Raphael Diaz NYR 2014 3rd Round Draft Selection To COL: Zach Bogosian Brad Richardson Future Considerations
  7. TRADE: The St. Louis Blues have made a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets. To STL: Keith Ballard Tim Gleason To CBJ: Chris Terry Mark Borowiecki ANA 2014 2nd Round Draft Selection (40th overall) **Columbus retains $1 million of Keith Ballard's salary**
  8. TRADE: The St. Louis Blues have made a trade with the Washington Capitals. To STL: Mattias Tedenby To WSH: Future Considerations
  9. No. A qualifying offer is still an offer and is subject to it being accepted, and negotiating with a separate agent for the same player would result in the club losing the player to unrestricted free agency.
  10. PACIFIC 63 vs 45 CENTRAL 90 vs 87 ATLANTIC 135 vs 65 METROPOLITAN 138 vs 52
  11. To clarify for those that have asked, this is a qualifying offer: Remember to remind the agent to inform me if a player is qualified, or include me when you send a qualifying offer so I can mark them as qualified on your chart. If they aren't listed in your chart in italics, they haven't been marked as qualified.
  12. From Tryout to Top Line, Rookie Brendan Ranford Up to Tough Second Round Task
  13. I didn't say I was trying to help him out. I said it was good for the league.
  14. REPORT: More trade rumblings coming out of Winnipeg suggest that another move is imminent, perhaps as soon as tonight.
  15. Steep price, but adding Gaunce gives me more depth at the center position up front which is a need this offseason, and I still have 2 first round picks. By moving down 14 spots with that pick, I added a quality prospect that is that much closer to NHL ready. Being a Canuck doesn't hurt either Columbus gaining a high first round pick will help Ty rebuild that team, which is good for the league.
  16. REPORT: The Winnipeg Jets have made their first move of the summer, and sources insist it is only the first of several to come in the next few days...
  17. TRADE: The Winnipeg Jets have made a trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets. To WPG: Brendan Gaunce BUF 2014 1st Round Draft Selection (20th overall) To CBJ: COL 2014 1st Round Draft Selection (6th overall)
  18. For the record, our league in the past has never used this criteria regarding division winners being ranked after the final 4 playoff teams, we have always just gone with round of elimination in ascending order based on points. That will be how we do it for this season as well, as has been done in the past. But, if you guys want to use division winners to determine draft rankings for next year, that's okay with me too. Either way is fine, I just don't want to flip the rules this close to the draft while we are determining the draft order.
  19. Still 2 months to get to them, no rush guys. Lots of time. Don't worry, you're not the only one that gets a little antsy this time of year. The Winnipeg Jets are looking to make a few deals leading up to the draft! Details potentially available in the rumour mill!
  20. The draft order in post #10 has been updated.
  21. I have all the picks and draft positions sorted out on my computer, will update the draft post on the first page when I get home in about an hour.
  22. Henrik Lundqvist comes down with the flu, and Cam Talbot has to make a surprise game 7 start. Talbot has a sensational game, pitching a shutout in a 1-0 Rangers victory, in which Talbot assisted on the only goal, a shorthanded breakaway marker from JT Miller. Mark Streit receives an uncharacteristic 5 minute boarding major and a game misconduct, totaling 15 minutes in penalties, after a questionable hit on Derek Stepan triggers a line brawl half way through the 2nd period. Tyler Kennedy finally gets into the lineup and responds with a 3 point night, leading the Sharks to a 5-4 4th overtime victory over the Kings in probably the most important game in San Jose's history. And finally, with Tyson Barrie still hurt and Matt Cooke serving his suspension, Nino Niederreiter has a solid night, scoring once and adding 2 helpers as the Wild edge out Colorado 4-3 to win their series. This is the only scenario in which the Jets will manage to advance tonight. Hey, it could happen!... Congratulations to Chicago for their series win!
  23. Question for you guys. Was just reading about all the uproar about what LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling. So... let's say, hypothetically, the owner of your favorite hockey team is heard on tape saying the exact same thing. How do you react?
