  1. Confession: I have never seen Game of Thrones.
  2. Awesome story! I love draft day, it's a ton of work on my end but it's still a blast. I can't wait! Still almost 2 months away... blah...
  3. Updated this for you. Dammit St. Louis...
  4. Wow... big week next week... talking with the Portland Winterhawks, Kelowna Rockets and Kitchener Rangers!
  5. Either way TR, your year is a massive success. From drafting 2nd overall last year to a playoff spot this season is a remarkable achievement, especially outpacing teams like Pittsburgh and the Islanders down the stretch in order to secure that playoff spot. Not only that, how many teams could go a toe to toe with a team as deep as Florida and put a scare into him early? If there was a GM of the Year award, you'd get my vote. Great job this year!
  6. Well greens...? I wanna hear the story! Why did you take Tarasenko?
  7. Last I heard Bettman said somewhere around $69-$70 million is a 'good guess'.
  8. Unsigned RFA as in a player who's contract was up after last season, not this season, was qualified, but never signed over the course of this year. There are a handful of teams with players in this situation. With RFA players who's contracts are expiring this year, yes you can qualify as many as you like by submitting a qualifying offer. Qualifying offer: a 1 year deal that meets the criteria laid out below. If the players base salary was: $500,000 - $1.5 million = 110% of previous contract over $1.5 million - $3 million = 105% of previous contract over $3 million = 100% of previous contract Qualifying offers are presented as follows. Example Player name qualifying offer - 1 year, $2 million Anything more than this (ie: long discussion about players role, etc.) is considered the start of a negotiation and would count against the 6 negotiations.
  9. Thrilled to get these two key pieces under contract and back in the fold for next season. Both are a huge part of the Jets youth movement and we look forward to watching them develop with our organization. An updated roster will be coming in the next few days.
  10. I've been asked this a few times, may have answered it in the thread but I can't remember. In any event, here it is for everyone's benefit. Q: I have unsigned RFAs from last year. Do they count against the 6 negotiation limit? A: Yes. Q: What happens if I don't sign the unsigned RFA from last year before July 1st? A: Any unsigned RFAs from last season that are still not signed as of 12:00am on July 1st, 2014 will become Unrestricted Free Agents. Q: I want to sign my 2012 draft picks before I lose them. Do they count against the 6 negotiation limit? A: No, drafted prospects that are still unsigned, from any year, don't count towards the limit.
  11. Going downhill in a hurry... my team is self destructing itself and there may be some significant issues in the locker room. Could a big off-season shakeup be coming??
  12. Taking credit for Wennberg, as I acquired him when the league intervened to get Minnesota under the cap after the season started.
  13. TRADE: The St. Louis Blues have made a trade with the Philadelphia Flyers. To PHI: Karri Ramo To STL: Torrey Mitchell BUF 2014 3rd Round Draft Selection
  14. There are one or two in my inbox that I will be putting through later tonight.
  15. Complete draft order (with updated draft pick owners) is now being kept in post #10, and will be updated as teams begin to be eliminated after the 1st round of the playoffs.
  16. Far too many passengers on my playoff roster.... between that, injuries and suspensions from causing those injuries, things are not looking good for the Jets.
  17. Lucic is garbage. And no, I don't want him on the Canucks. Ever.
  18. That might work for some people, and that's okay. I'll stick with the team I've loved since I was 4 years old, win or lose. (Friendly jabs people, no offense meant to OTTS or anyone else cheering for other teams. It's all for fun )
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8qLl1IeNmA Not upset at all.
  20. There's a lot of quality players we could pick. I'm not worried so much about who we pick but rather how we develop them. We can't afford to screw this up...

  21. Calgary's pick won the lottery. But Boston holds it. Ouch....
  22. Very true. And I suppose it would push management to move a guy like Edler and perhaps get some help in front in return in the deal. Personally I don't think you can go wrong in the top 4 with any of them.
  23. All playoff rosters have been entered into the playoff pool. www.pickuphockey.com League: CDCGML 2013-14 Playoffs Password: cdcgml There are a number of prospect players that were listed for rosters that are not in the system. Rather than request about 25 junior players at once, let me know if one of the players gets into a game and I will get that player added.
  24. But do we need another defenceman? We could definitely use another top 6 forward...
