Better yet, how about dump the monopoly ICBC has and let the free market system rule?  This socialism (bloody communism really) doesn’t work.  ICBC is a bloated mess that needs to be killed off. 

Be careful what you wish for @Alflives.  When I moved from BC to Alberta, my insurance went up.  And when I was in an accident (no fault of my own) it was brutal trying to get the other guy's insurance company to talk to my insurance company.  They wanted me to pay for all the repairs up front and then get reimbursed.  It seems that all the studies out there cherry pick the customers to make things look the way they want them too.  I've seen some pretty crazy things come out of private insurers.  Having private auto insurance is not all sunshine and rainbows like they would lead you to believe.

I agree that ICBC is a mess, but I think that mess needs to be fixed, not replaced.  It used to be the model for how public insurance should work.
