Ok, last post RE: last night's game.
1. Pretty sure that head ref had money on the Bengals. On one play, one ref called it a fumble and threw the bean bag down to signal that the fumble occurred. Therefore, while Chung was running back the perceived live ball because the ref signaled a fumble, Easley laid out a block shoulder to shoulder on a Bengals player who was in pursuit of Chung because everyone thought it was a live fumble. But then that head ref blows it dead, and calls a penalty on Easley for a blind side block because the play was over.
2. Black Hernandez from here on out needs to stay on the field and McDaniel's needs to save his job by sticking with the 2 TE system.
3. Revis Island needs to stay. The first 4 weeks he was playing zone coverage, which explains a lot of the yards and catches he was giving up. Last night was his first full game of strict man to man, here's your island, stay on it. With Browner activated now, and Dennard healthy, pass defense should improve significantly.
4. Told ya'll Logan Ryan was a pile of crap. FIRST play he comes in to replace Revis because Revis had to leave the field for a few plays, he gets beat for a 30 yard touchdown.
5. I must've missed the news this week, but when did we sign 5 new offensive linemen? Because no way those 5 guys were the same guys who were playing the first 4 weeks. Looked totally revamped. Credit to whoever's idea it was (Probably Belichick because the new O-line coach sucks) to pass block aggressively like they would on running plays instead of having the first step be backwards like normal pass blocking.
6. Reading different stories about the guys, including Garoppolo, all having conversations with Brady throughout the week telling him he's their leader and to pretty much f*ck the media. Gronk's brother called him before the game to wish him good luck like he does every week, and Rob, before hanging up, told him his mission was to make Tom look like Tom again, and, well, 100 yards and a touchdown.
We're on to Buffalo.
