  1. So is 7 the magic number to get into the playoffs in our CDC league? Unless Morris, Nicks and Garcon can post a combined 50 points, I will beat Pack Attack and we'll both be 7-6, but he has already clinched a playoff spot. edit: if 7 is indeed the number looks like tony romo will just miss out on a playoff spot as will champions of nothing unless eli has a huge game tonight and bradshaw does not.
  2. It wasn't intended to be a shot at the Chiefs or their organization, nor was it anything to take away from the sensitivity and the seriousness of yesterday's events. I was just taking my frustration towards the media out at the team because the media was correlating the events with the teams mindset heading into the game today.
  3. Well, it did. In my opinion anyways. The way the pre-game analysts were spinning it along with everything else in the media, it seems like the Chiefs wanted to win for Belcher and thus played perhaps more motivated than they normally would. I'm not trying to take away from the sensitivity of the situation, I just think it's stupid that thats what it takes for this team to show up. Or hey, maybe I could be wrong and it was all cause the Panthers suck. Who knows.
  4. Really? You prefer loud mouth arrogan talk out their as*es coaches like Rex and Rob Ryan over guys like belichick and the harbaugh's who stay quiet and have the respect of their players? I'm not saying you have to like either of those 3 but there are far more annoying coaches than them.
  5. Yeah I probably could have, my point was more towards that it's stupid that they can only manage 1 win all season and can't find it in themselves to win another, but one of their teammates murders his gf and then brings out the coach and gm so they can watch him kill himself is all of a sudden a motivating factor. I really hope the daughter and the mother were in their hearts when they played today and not Belcher.
  6. I don't know why you'd be surprised, it's the truth. He's a murderer. Just because he was an athlete doesn't mean people should take it lightly. Had he not taken a cowards way out and taken his own life as well, he'd be behind bars. Would his team still be extra motivated to win "for" him? What kind of monster can shoot his girlfriend 9 times in front of his mother? In the same house as his daughter? Don't get me wrong, it's terrible that anybody had to die and I'm not saying people shouldn't mourn the loss of someone they once considered a teammate. It's just disgusting, in my opinion, to play "for" someone who murdered an innocent woman. Glad NFL.com had the balls to take down the through the years tribute to him. Could you imagine being a family member of Kassandra and going on NFL.com and seeing a tribute to the man who murdered your sister/daughter/cousin/niece/co worker/friend. Don't know what kind of clowns they have running that site.
  7. Only takes a guy shooting his innocent girlfriend NINE times to motivate the Chiefs enough to win a game.. Probably the most exciting morning of football this season in my opinion. From a personal point of view, because the Pats clinched their 9th division title in 10 years. From a football fan point of view, Lions Colts was amazing, seahawks bears ends in OT, niners rams ends in OT. The only dud was the Jets.
  8. Rest in Peace Kassandra Perkins, since the media (NFL.com) will only talk about and tribute the murderer who killed her in cold blood.

You should make a thread on this so we can all call this what it is. The lady is the victim and the guy is a murderer and a coward

    3. :D

      It wasn't in cold blood...

RIP KP, hopefully the baby can have a normal life somehow. I feel terribly for the families.

  9. What a coward. Don't have any sympathy for him, yet (will do if its revealed he was suffering from mental problems), but feel incredibly bad for the girlfriend and the now parent-less child. There were pictures of them looking happy as a family on Thanksgiving. Not only could he have spared the life of the girlfriend, why would one need attention so bad that they'd purposly traumatize their head coach and GM by shooting themselves in front of them? Crazy. Hope the child has grandparents or other family that will raise him instead of be put in the foster care system.
  10. Love Brees throwing 5 int's last night and 0 touchdowns for 2 reasons. First being that Brady's got a shot at yet another NFL record now. second, in my high scoring fantasy league in which we have 11 starting offensive players, starting kicker and def, and 4 starting defensive players, the guy whos running it cheated by creating another team in the league and then after the draft he traded the good players from one team to the other so now he has a super stacked team and is 10-0. I'm playing him this week and he started Brees, Graham and Jones who all didn't meet point expectations. It'd be great to give the cheater his 1st loss.
  11. our cdc league is getting intense. a bunch of 6-6 and 5-7 teams, this upcoming week should decide playoffs
  12. Anyone start Bryce Brown? 150 yards and 2 touchdowns.
  13. The thing I like about this season is no team looks invincible and a shoe in for the Lombardi. All the division/conference leaders have shown signs of vulnerability at some point throughout the season and where the holes in their game are. It's going to be a fun end to the season as the wildcard spots and some division titles are sorted out, and then of course, the playoffs themself. I wouldn't mind playing Andrew Luck at home again in the wildcard card. I actually would prefer this, bye weeks haven't exactly always been friendly to the Pats.
  14. Stupid Chargers, can't rely on them for anything! Oh well, Fins, Texans, 49ers, Jags, and Fins again up next, #1 or 2 seed isn't out of the question at all, moreso aiming for #2 though, just gotta have faith.
  15. What a waste of a roster spot, start Jalen Parmele and he gets injured right away...
  16. I didn't call the Ravens overrated and what I bolded is you explaining yourself why the Bears are overrated. The Lions were 0-7 on Thanksgiving day coming into the game, and Stafford was 0-2 with a 2-7 touchdown:interception ratio. I don't think Houston was worried about having to play them on Thanksgiving day.
  17. Lol, Adrian Peterson missed the team bus to Soldier Field and had to take a cab. Lucky for him the cabbie wasn't a Vikings fan, otherwise he really could've had his timing messed up
  18. Can't argue with that. I was just going based off of how many yards and td's andre johnson and owen daniels have. To be fair to PDC, the only good teams Houston has defeated are the Ravens and Bears (who I think are over rated anyways). They barely squeaked by the Lions and had it not been for Schwartz eagerness they would have 2 losses on the season, and they barely squeaked by the jaguars although it was a good come from behind story. The reason I'm not putting the Broncos in that "good team" category is cause they beat the Broncos in week 3 when they hadn't really hit their stride yet. The rest of their schedule seems pretty easy as well depending on whether Andrew Luck hits the rookie wall or not. If he doesn't, then the Texans will have a tough go at it with the Patriots once and the Colts twice, if he does, then all they have left is one challenging game vs the Pats in Foxboro.
  19. Oh no, that offense has a lot of weapons now. Besides Foster and Johnson, Owen Daniels is a big threat as is Garrett Graham now, their receiver, whats his name, kevin walter has good potential
  20. I don't see why Arian Foster would be playing defense and trying to stop Jake Locker..
  21. I don't think you "can" stop him. I saw him beat double team multiple times, and even vs triple teams, he's quick and smart enough to take a step back and jump up when the pass is thrown, I'm surprised he doesn't have any interceptions this year. The guy is a tank. Ps: Dnomingdk;lagukh Suh is a dirty animal.
  22. Any given Sundany!!! But I know, you're probably right. Maybe Locker will have the game of his career Their secondary has shown they're vulnerable. It's just about stopping that mammoth J J Watt
  23. Hahaha, I laughed for a good couple of minutes when that happened. He got the full Rakishi a*s face treatment there. Whenever I'm having a hard or stressful day, I always think that there are poor souls out there who have to live with him as their quarterback for as long as Rex is coaching that team.
  24. LOL. That's all I have to say. Rex's dream job would be a job on Belichicks coaching staff judging from how much he rides his d*ck in press conferences. He should make the switch and come have a legitimate shot at a ring. He's not going nowhere near the lombardi in the upcoming years in Jersey and he'd sure help shore up that defense. Speaking of that defense, the secondary is getting healthier and better. Obviously nothing to call home about yet, but with Chung healthy finally, Talib getting more comfortable (was solid tonight), Alfonzo Dennard has been so impressive for a 7th rounder (was supposed to be a 2nd rounder if not for legal troubles), and McCourty with Gregory, Arrington, Dowling providing depth, there is potential there. Hope the Texans lose their next game and the Patriots can stomp the 'Fins, then the game vs Texans will be an opportunity to take over 1st seed.
