  1. judd brackett is a beast.
  2. yes? you said "with philly and chicago under keenan," which can easily be read as under keenan on both teams, especially since he coached those teams in consecutive years.
  3. ah, that clears it up. the way I read your statement, he played for keenan in both philly and chicago, but he didn't play for keenan in philly.
  4. way too late and in the wrong order to be on keenan's teams.
  5. who was he? I wanted to see if I could sleuth it out so I checked out the rosters for the years that keenan coached philly and chicago and couldn't find any role player types ("played a few games in the nhl") that scored at least 3 goals in any season and played for both of those teams in his career. edit: I also just checked all the players that scored hat tricks for their respective teams in those keenan years ... this doesn't seem to check out.
  6. not wanting him in utica would be one reason, but if you can find a team to loan him to, I'm game.
  7. get nhl gamecenter and watch the opponent's feed every game, I guess. unless they're playing another Canadian team, then you'll be stuck with Sportsnet either way. option 2 would be growing up.
  8. markstrom won't be mm over if the canucks are in the playoff picture, and rightly so.
  9. since mathias is there, markstrom would have been too.
  10. the fact you're comparing a ufa signing with rfa signings is a travesty.
  11. yeah, I was 5 years old and I know the details too. it's well chronicled. I was merely pointing out that if everyone who claimed to be at the game actually was, they would have had to play it in a South American soccer stadium.
  12. will you be dipping into the allowance money from daddy or the cpp contributions that I'm paying?
  13. the only generation worse than boomers are the current little gen z kids with their videogame streaming and striving to be "influencers" and their painfully uncreative memes. gen x and y are stuck in the middle, wishing we could blast off to another planet.
  14. why do people think tryamkin would suddenly be willing to earn his ice time and play in the minors? if you bring the guy over, you have to be prepared to gift him top 4 ice or watch him sulk and eventually take his ball and go home.
  15. life feeds on life feeds on life. welcome to the universe.
  16. are you kidding? he's far more than holding his own defensively for any 20 year old rookie defenceman, let alone a 5'9", offensively-minded one. I have no doubt he could easily play as a 30 minute, all situations defenceman throughout his career.
  17. I think he may actually already be the most important player the canucks have ever had. him being on the ice by default backs off the defending team. when he has the puck, it's his. god i hope he stays loyal to this organization when the time comes to make that decision.
  18. respect and gratitude for sacrificing blood, sweat, tears and potentially his future health in the name of your entertainment and trying to bring glory to your favourite team.
  19. the deterrent is having a guy willing to push the envelope and stick up for teammates, not a guy who's willing to fight -- the other guy has to agree to it, anyway. in 2019, where there's a fight in fewer than 1 in 5 nhl games and most teams won't give a roster spot to those kinds of players, as long as ferland still plays physically and intensely, there's no loss in his effectiveness.
  20. sven was a top 6 forward on a bad team. he's a borderline nhler on a good team that doesn't have a spot in the top 6 for him. either way, he's been a loyal soldier for this team and deserves respect and gratitude.
  21. what does it hurt? don't click on it.
  22. umm ... someone teach this dude how to read a calendar. that said, in spite of the fact that forums in general are antiquated and millennials prefer the vapid and immediate gratification of twitter instead, this place will start to fill up by the end of the year once the casuals hop back on the bandwagon because a friend of theirs told them the team was doing good and has some new swedish kid who apparently is pretty fun to watch.
  23. indeed. leivo-gaudette-sutter seems like the no-brainer adjustment.
