  1. Might need to callup this guy if we need a backup goalie in an emergency: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Levesque
  2. Sorry you posted a reply too fast for me lol. I saw the error in my post and edited it but around the same time as your reply.
  3. Lol. Who the heck is going to play on D if we deal Schmidt? Edler’s body is already breaking down. And Myers isn’t getting any younger himself. Slotting in basically three rookies on our blueline is a recipe for disaster imho.
  4. They got a ton of picks in 2021. Multiple 1st, 2nd, 3rd,4th and even 5th round picks that year. Will be interesting to see if that stockpiling/acquiring of so many picks works. Course as the Oilers have shown, even several 1st overall picks doesn't guarantee success. You need to surround such players with decent NHL vets.
  5. Benn was awful last season (save the playoffs). But nicely bounced back this season (proving the postseason performance wasn’t a mirage). Might’ve been a case of him taking a bit of time to get used to being on a different team/coach/teammates.
  6. Have to get him away from Travis Green so Joulevi gets more game action. He (OJ) is in the long term plans of the club not Benn. Let the kid play.
  7. Other than Hughes, it is mine as well. They`re either 30+ years old or rookie and or sophmores. Talk about age gap. Not a good thing.
  8. Amateur scouting certainly seems to have GREATLY improved. It’s the professional scouting that has been a mixed bag. Was an issue with Gillis as well (professional scouting).
  9. Yeah let`s see how our blueline shakes out with the likely retirement of Edler at some point before rendering judgement. Even a guy like Myers is over 30 years old. This is where Benning will be deemed to have succeeded or failed.
  10. Detroit Red Wings already have multiple picks in 2021: Two 1st round picks Three 2nd round picks Two 3rd round picks Two 4th round picks Two 5th round picks Doubt they`d have any interest in picking up a zero offense $3 million 4th line winger as a consequence.
  11. I don’t know the answer to that but buying him out does free up a contract slot which in itself has some value.
  12. The thing is, Chubbie is EXACTLY the type of forward the Canucks need the most. Solid defensively, two way center.
  13. I wish him all the best of luck.....when he’s not playing against the Canucks.
  14. There was a hilarious incident where Shane Corson went after Jovocop off the ice (I *think* both were thrown out of the game BUT the game was still going on) as his feelings were hurt.
  15. I go thru his garbage/recyclables at least once a week & can confirm EP is a paragon of virtue & integrity.
  16. Just have to convince Green & Baumer to play OJ more. Let the kid play!
  17. I think that ship has sailed (Tryamkin). I highly doubt he'll come over on a cheap contract (he seems content playing at home).
  18. As been said, the difference between a 4th & a 5th isn't that much once you get that far down the draft. Sure it's "something". Just not alot imho.
  19. I know he sucked there but he was the "best" available option left (which says alot more about our depth there than anything else).
  20. That ain't much an accomplishment given the Oilers blueline/goaltending.
