  1. Problem is, it's the city's taxpayers that will end up paying for this (assuming the guy wins his case) while Barney Fife & his buddy will get to continue go into every situation with "guns blazing" as their first thought.
  2. Russia isn't the Soviet Union no more. Sure much of the same suspects are still in charge but as a threat, China should be the more feared force now & in the future. Even President Duterte probably realizes this now.
  3. I'll take a different position. **** the Oilers. Unless they want Loui Eriksson, I wouldn't want to help them. And I repeat. **** the Oilers.
  4. It was revenge for Gillis work as a player agent and cheezing off alot of NHL executives. And there was nothing that we could do about it. Jacobs was a made man and Aquilini wasn't. And we had to sit still and take it. It was among the teams with the real stroke in the league. It was real grease ball ****.
  5. Why wouldn't it be the right thing to do? It's a business. Obviously for a career Canuck like Edler (who'd never waive his NTC in any event) that would be a different case.
  6. Which bothers me why we don't have more than our default number of picks. Work on your biggest asset/strength (drafting). Do that by having more picks.
  7. I just want Holtby to find his game again (maybe Aquilini can buy him a flux capacitor so he can go back in time) so the Kraken takes his cap hit off the team for next season.
  8. You’re right! I completely forgot about Roseanne! Didn’t watch the Bob Newhart show (can we still be friends? )
  9. Dallas wasn't a sitcom then though the Jerry Jones controlled Cowboys might as well be.
  10. *YOU* be the person to tell Luca Brasi he is really a she:
  11. Seattle’s owners seem to have deep pockets. Even so, they are businessmen and likely want their team to succeed sooner rather than later. Having a marginal 4th line winger taking up six million in cap space hardly helps them in that. A mid round 1st round pick will likely be at least a few years from “prime time”. Loui has no reason to retire and turn down $3 million in actual cash salary.
  12. Seems like they’ve been looking for a goalie since they traded away Rask (who has since added a Vezina to his resume). And I sleep well every night.
  13. Seriously though I tend to have a bad habit of seeing only what I want to see (or read). I am trying to get better at avoiding this problem. Peace!
  14. Limited amount of funds available (cap). The more you spend for wingers means less so available for centers.
  15. Team needs more depth at center rather than on wing. Miller, imho, is far more effective as a winger.
  16. Yeah I doubt there would be a lot of support for a Queen Camilla (if Charles was made King).
  17. Seems like Campbell really was the guy carrying that pairing (no surprise since that guy was an allstar D). He was able to mask most of the flaws of Gudbranson. In his defense (no pun intended), I think he was given a pretty short leash with respect to the physicality part (ie, turn the other cheek rather than retaliate) as Canuck which negated that part of his game. Never was a legit 2nd pairing D though imho. At least LE was a bonafide two way top six winger in his prime. Unfortunately for us, his game fell off the cliff uber fast much like Hansen’s game did.
  18. ugh. Don't remind me. Goes to the mixed bag at best the professional scouting of the team. Home run's like Miller but huge swing & a miss with Gudbranson & Clendening.
  19. Coxe seemed to have an iron jaw. Took untold punches to the head but often never went down. Seriously though, I'm glad *TODAY*, he seems to have all mental faculties (and at the end of the day, that's what really is important) despite all the pounding he took in the head.
  20. Well I hope I am proven wrong and Clark is able to work on Holtby's game (I would guess that wasn't much of an option in this oddball season - ie., limited practice time, etc.,) to elevate his game to a point where Seattle does select him.
