  1. From one of the comments to that tweet: Rudy’s legal brief will be in his briefs....citing the Mr Tuck vs Pedo case.
  2. It sure will be the last Thanksgiving for a number attending large gatherings and spreading COVID even more Dr. ****-face.
  3. https://twitter.com/danhett/status/1328275608007217153?s=20
  4. Well Dotard has some experience in the matter trying to get into the Miss Teen USA changing rooms.
  5. Or you can call him bat**** crazy. Granted, many geniuses are not exactly playing with a full deck.
  6. Took no **** either. If you gave him a cheapshot, he'd take your number and return the receipt (often on the very same shift lol). Granted, when you have Gino behind you, you tend to get alot more brave. I charge into a firing machine gun if Gino had my back.
  7. GOP was pretty much in total control at the state level in that state. I doubt there was much worry of a result of a "recount" about the results when the people "judging" such things were the GOP at least from their POV.
  8. Tough to separate emotion out of these decisions. Probably why I tend to skip looking at the values of my holdings during events such as this.
  9. Unless I’m mistaken, he did all those three cheap shots in a single period. Not a fan of Boll, though the following meant he put a big smile on my face:
  10. Don’t the Canes have a fairly deep blueline? Might not even get a cup of coffee at the NHL this upcoming season. Clendening, the guy we dealt Forsling for is still racking up a fair bit of points in the AHL. Think he too has a two-way NHL contract. Still can’t skate well enough to earn a spot in the NHL but his offensive skills are still more than enough to earn a living as a professional hockey player....just not a NHLer (except as emergency fill in)
  11. Had solid offensive skills but his awful skating was his achilles heel (especially moreso for a defenseman).
  12. I doubt it. We already have two legit 1st pairing D on the team. But competition is always good.
  13. Pumped up full of roids in his system. Funny, that you don't hear calls from him for Biden to be drug tested anymore.
  14. It’s a joke but with Bone Spurs....you never know. EG., his claims that if you elect Biden, he will cancel Xmas this year (evidently Urine Man’s dementia made him forget if he loses the election, he’s STILL Prez until January 2021.
  15. I suspect the AHL is an even more gate driven league than the NHL. Doubt there’ll be owners willing to fit the bill for such an expenditure (especially with some cheap owners like the owner of the Sens). Reason why I really wonder if there’ll even be a season for them.
  16. Anything involving that, I'd just prefer dumping LE for that 1st without anything coming back. (not that I'd support giving up a 1st).
  17. "He'd be relatively cheap - $2M base last year and 1.75 in bonuses." I guess that was in part of a 'hometown type of discount'. Yes, I know he's not from Boston but that's him wanting to help out his team while still being paid. Why should he cut the same slack to a team he has zero ties with?
  18. Three million in real dollars owed in his final year. Nobody will want a 36 year old 4th line winger making that cash. Staal still cost the Rags a 2nd round pick & he's several years younger.
  19. Going from defense to forward is one thing. Going from forward to defense? It has been done to a high level but it's VERY RARE because of the difficulty involved. With the acquisition of legit top pairing D from Vegas, I fail to see the need for such a drastic experiment.
  20. While I would like an "all canadian division"....think of the additional travel.
  21. Because Benning is actually planning for what he has to deal with not just this season but in the season(s) where Hughes & EP contract's have to be extended. It essentially means short-term pain for long-term gain. Most GM's only think about the short-term as their job security depends on that. Disagree with what Benning all you want, but he's acting on the team's best long range interests and not HIS own short-term interests. Can't have too many players on longer term deals.
  22. This is a problem with a number of the offer sheet proposals. You have to make it an offer high enough that the player would want to sign.
  23. He signed the deal in good faith. He didn’t pull a Luca Brasi on a Benning for him to ink a deal. Nobody (including himself) expected his game to fall off a cliff from day one. The league has guaranteed contracts. It’s a business. I like him to retire as much as anyone but it isn’t realistic given the money on the table.
  24. That deserves a trip down memory lanes when the person in your avatar had a fantastic bout with "legendary" Canuck Craig Coxe!
