  1. He never really injured anybody on the ice (to my knowledge). Granted, his mouth was like a sewer but he was mouthy D-bag vs a player like Carcillo who did some real cheap stuff on the ice to hurt other players (yes, he has attempted to 'redeem' himself & credit to him for trying to go back on the 'right path'....but that doesn't change he was a Brad Marchand type of player when he was a NHLer). Do I feel sad he got kicked in the butt though? Nah.
  2. He's there to make sure nobody tries any funny stuff with McDavid and/or Draisatl. If he was riding shotgun on EPs line & Matheson pulled that cheap stunt on him; Kassian would make sure Matheson would be eating his dinners via a straw for the rest of the season. It doesn't hurt though that Kassian can skate (and thus be of other use on that line besides his fists or 'loose screw').
  3. Yeah, look at a guy like Bieksa. Didn't really come into his own until north of 25 years old. Then you have Edler, who seemed to have developed at an incredible rate. Some guys never develop or jump over that hurdle. Some guys do. It isn't an exact science.
  4. I think he's the only Head Coach that's one a Cup in the NHL & KHL as a head coach. Still a D-bag though.
  5. Because the Cons were so stupid as to nominate a guy who was given an atomic wedgie on a daily basis in high school.
  6. ENTERTAINMENT is Twilight Sparkle....the People’s Champion. I smell what you’re cooking! ...but it doesn’t matter what I think....
  7. heh, neither did the Pens last night. I'd take one Crosby over a team full of bottom six forwards.
  8. Probably a bit premature to put Pod in that category. Woo seems to further along tbe development path than him (granted he's older BUT he has shown progression). Difficult to determine what development Pod has had to date since being drafted considering where he plays right now.
  9. I think he'll got his hands full one explaining Louie Eriksson being bought out or paid to play in the minors....unless he's going to blame that one on Linden as well. Fact is though, I don't think Green is going anywhere. One game shouldn't decide the fate of a coach.
  10. I don't think even Clarence Darrow could argue that one successfully. Maybe Perry Mason if he was facing Hamilton Burger.
  11. Why would Willie be a Linden hire? Benning was hired first (as a GM should be). Benning stuck with Willie for three seasons. He's his.
  12. I can't think of any in recent memory (at least not without said GM having some kind of regular season success and/or post-season success as well with that same team).
  13. They at one time were also THE most talented players on a particular team. Granted, that was when Alf was still only 500 years old. (eg., Rocket Richard, Gordie Howe, etc.,)
  14. extra surtax on Melmacians. Nothing but free loaders "those people" (as Don Cherry would say).
  15. Doesn't look good on Francis (Seattle GM) from all appearances. He has a fair bit of explaining to do.
  16. He admitted to trying to inflict brain injuries on said players I seem to recall. I'll give him credit to owning up to it but that's about it. Now if my recollection is off and/or incorrect; I'll take back what I said (he was still a cheapshot artist as a NHLer though). If Marchand made an argument and Iginla made an opposing argument; I would tend to believe the later at least initially to due to bias (of which I''ll admit).
  17. If only he were a "plug". Guy was a cheapshot artist looking to injure other players on the ice. **** him. He has zero credibility.
  18. They (bus drivers) also are paid less than the Canada Line Skytrain workers.
  19. Exactly. Listen to Jack Bauer's dad: As bad as the team played, there were one shot from tying the game.
