  1. Cobra Kai sensei (Jeremy Jacobs) to Rat Marchand: 1) Strike First....2) Strike Hard....3) No Mercy Cobra Kai: Sweep the leg... Cobra Kai: You have a problem with that? No mercy!
  2. Kind of embarrassing when a midget like Gaudreau has more hits than you this past season.
  3. Recent history of the Canucks dealing 1st round picks (past 25 years): None by Benning One by Gillis (25th overall) - 2010 None by Nonis One by Burke (17th overall) - 2002 Our problem has been amateur scouting more than anything else (at least prior to Benning being hired). Heck, we've added more 1st round picks in the past 25 years than ones we've dealt.
  4. Substitute NK for Snoke and you get the Last Jedi. Rian Johnson was the secret ghostwriter for the episode!
  5. Quit spreading lies Philip....Blasphemy!,,,....Jeebus don’t need guns! He knows Kung Fu!
  6. Offensively they were but still is a work in process defensively. That's the reason why he hadn't been called up yet (that and injuries) despite all the injuries on the Canucks blueline over the years. Good news is that you can always teach good defensive play.
  7. Most hilarious post I read regarding the amount of kills Arya had in the battle.... Guimli to Arya: "That still only counts as one!" (re Night King)
  8. You don't see the difference between a 12 team league and a league that was effectively three teams? We'll just have to agree to disagree. Everyone obviously has differing opinions. Not saying yours don't have any merit. For example, do we laugh at the achievements of baseball players before the color barrier was broken by Jackie Robinson? It's a tough call I'll admit. I still have awe at the achievements of Babe Ruth even though he didn't face the best as he was a great pitcher as well (early on his career). He might've even been able to get on the baseball hall of fame if he had stayed a pitcher (he was THAT good). It would be like if Marty Brodeur played forward/defense early on his NHL career - good enough to be on an allstar team. I think Babe Ruth even pitched a scoreless game in the World Series once.
  9. Because the Night King is a Stark and we all know Stark's do dumb azz things.
  10. Willie D taught them strategy. Who needs line matching? Just roll 4 lines even when your #1 line is doing well. Who needs your calvary attacking the enemy flanks like they actually did in real life. Just do a suicidal charge straight at the enemy's strong point. Sun Tzu would be rolling in his grave if lived in Westeros.
  11. Yeah there were fewer teams back then so a high 2nd round pick then would be a lowish 1st round pick today.
  12. I’m wondering how they’re going to handle Capt Marvel being so powerful in the future. Actually too powerful. You run into the same problems making a movie about Superman. It always seems like a forgone conclusion the hero(heroine) will win because they’re so “super”.
  13. Wasn’t that more to there was nothing left for her to do what with all the evil baddies gone more than she had nothing else left in the tank. Sure there are still slime like Cersei and the like around but not anywhere on the same level as the army of the dead.e
  14. Why though? As I said, for much of the period, it wasn’t even a six team league but effectively three or at most four teams. What kind of league is that?
  15. At least Arya had training in the heh ninja arts. Mary Sue Rey learned that maneuver from who? All she got from Luke was how to suck that blue milk from the creature.
  16. Don't forget she was essentially trained as a 'ninja". Could've even been wearing a Wight mask to 'blend in".
  17. Give her the Hart Memorial trophy (ok, I borrowed that from somewhere else...).
  18. Yeah how many know about the leagues history realize that it was actually a bigger joke of a league during those "original six days". There wasn't even six LEGIT teams during that era. Look up the history regarding the term "The Norris league". The Red Wings controlled (either directly or indirectly) the other three American teams. There's a reason why those other teams (in a 6 team league) won so few cups. Jeebus, *I* could be a GM and be in charge of a Cup winning team just by chance if there are only really two other competing teams.
  19. The Messier trophy is a two phallic sculpture which is the actual size of his errrrrrr.....you know what. I know this for a fact was he was beside me in the urinals at Rogers and I took a peak.
  20. Nah a Canadian would post a Monty Hall (him being Canadian-American) video clip showing Gillis to be a 'zonk' prize:
  21. Only that such places (which I can only guess to exist) have no need to "arm the teachers" (or I would assume no teacher would feel threatened enough to consider it given the private security in place).
