  1. I suspect the more afluent private schools already have security (and I'm not referring to 'rent-a-cop' guys making minimum wage).
  2. Never underestimate the stupidity of NHL GMs. (even the Cap doesn't stop them from handing out/offering dumb contracts).
  3. If you're going to be handing out that kind of contract, it'll likely be for a guy like EP (offer sheet given to him).
  4. That probably raises an even more important problem. We've got too many Barney Fife's out there (which put a stain on the Andy Taylor's).
  5. Difference being a policeman is trained not just to handle a firearm but conditions on when and when not to use it. Joe citizen will be (it seems) just trained on how to use the weapon. This is going to end really badly.
  6. meh, that kind of questionable officiating is expected against US. Remember the *SEVEN MINUTE POWER PLAY* the Kings got against us (back when Torts was the coach)? Granted that was "only" the regular season but what about the big meanie Sedin who gave a little tap to one of the Shark midgets & got a minor penalty in OT (which they scored)?: That THE WORST officiated playoff series I ever seen (funny how it involves much of the same roster San Jose Sharks). And no, I'm not whining about the end result (the Sharks were the better team - only they didn't need any help from the zebras).
  7. Money is nothing to a "Billionaire" . (the REAL reason urine man doesn't want to release his tax returns doesn't have anything to do with illegal activities or collusion with foreign powers... but it would hurt his ego for everyone to know he's not a member of the Billionaire's club).
  8. I doubt the ones wearing pillow sheets over their heads would consider Bernie a white guy. Plus they had no problems voting for a Kenyan.
  9. I want Jr to challenge the other guys manhood in a PPV (proceeds to go to cleanup costs of garbage....everybody wins) where they both fight in a boxing match. Jr like boxing matches against old farts.
  10. Ah but a cancer prevents any other diseases from infecting us as how that disease attacks other parasites that seeks to take control of the body. Have to look at the bright side of things.
  11. Kareem put up a better fight against Bruce 'freaking' Lee (lol):
  12. If another team offered us Joulevi and a 3rd for our 10th overall pick, I’d laugh and hang up the phone. We’d most likely get a pretty late 1st round pick for that package (my best guess). Should still get a decent blue chip prospect at 10.
  13. That actually is a pretty good idea inviting JWR to weddings. She’s pretty good at recording events without being too intrusive.
  14. I can’t help but wonder if hiding in a crypt (magical wards or not) is really the best to “hide” in an impending invasion by the army of the dead. Would be hilarious if Cersei had her baby and it looks like Tyrion....
  15. Oh I believe Tre Mac was “up” all night rewatching that scene again and again.
  16. Relative to the other blueliners on the Canucks he ain't. Hopefully that'll change if a rookie cracks the lineup but that could be still a season or two away.
  17. “Googles Alf’s age...”

Woohooo!   Hey Alf, we’re eating at Denny’s tonight!  Cheap eats as we’ll be ordering from the Seniors menu!

    1. Alflives

      Alflives

Don’t forget to multiply by three.  Malmacians age quick.  :towel:

    2. Rick Blight

      Rick Blight

Stonehenge is more like Alf's age........

  18. That's because he has difficulty typing with only one thumb. The other thumb is up the Laffs butt.
  19. Here's a "local" song from band "The Payolas" (circa around 1980): Bob Rock later was a producer for a number of Metallica albums (just don't talk about "St Anger" heh....)
  20. Again, remember that Paul Robeson sang it. Look him up. I doubt he felt the song was racist. You have to look beyond the song title.
  21. One should note that Paul Robeson sang the song as well: This is the Kate Smith version:
  22. That too but I seem to recall also the thought of being able to play with his brother was a big factor in Scott deciding to sign with the Ducks. Course, I'm going purely by memory and it was a long time ago. Ducks were lucky to find a sucker for Federov (he was well past his prime) which freed up the money to offer him a good contract (great move by Burke making that trade). Cap space didn't seem to bother Nonis when he signed Luongo (when he already had Cloutier under contract for around 3-4 million).....making that 10 million in cap space to goalies (back when the cap limit was FAR lower....like in the 45 to 50 million range). You're allowed I think to go over the cap by something like 10% in the off-season so you got a LITTLE time to work things out (granted not the ideal situation).
