I mean, he did wear really nice shoes…what’s wrong with her! Was it the paint on his chest that was over the top…? I’m so confused…lol

      That was hilarious thx!

He got the bottom half right at least…lol

  2. In honor of Ukraine, the Canucks should fly Fedor over so Juice can feed him his five knuckles again.
  3. I wonder if this is at least part of the reason why credit cards aren't really (to my knowledge) in much use in Japan. They're *still* quite a 'cash society' over there. You'd think such a technologically advanced country would be close to 'cash-less'. I seem to remember their banks even *CHARGED* negative interest on deposit savings. Also seem to recall a number of their ATMs even have "office type" hours lol (eg., they aren't available for use 24/7).
  4. Paying money to see the Oilers is equivalent to this:
  5. Stillman is cheap insurance at very least (as I said, even if sent to Abby, most of his cap hit is buried/gone).
  6. Loui might've been a 'has been' (happens to most/all athletes eventually) but Jason was a 'never was'.
  7. Yeah I should've mentioned is. It won't prevent the initial cheapshot against our "talented players" but moreso as a credible threat for "payback".
  8. Dickinson's cap hit is more than twice the amount you can "hide" in Abby. It's dead cap space. A future 2nd round pick (remember that it's not for the draft this upcoming season but the year after so it makes that trade asset less valuable) is the price to free up some cap space for this year & next. Stillman at the very least can be used as a depth tough guy on D. Most of his cap hit can be buried in Abby (unlike Dickinson) if he can't make the squad.
  9. Just one more example of the fatal weakness of the Jim Benning management group. Complete failure to surround the solid core group Benning assembled with decent complementary parts. This skill is often underrated. Dickinson is just a worse version of Tim Schaller (remember that garbage player that Benning also acquired?). And of course, in seven years on the job, all Benning could do to find as head coach of the team was Willie Desjardins & Travis Green (that alone should be a fireable offense).
  10. Rat players will always be rat players no matter who is in the opposing team's lineup. Look at the following (I mean, Lucic was even on the ice at the time!):
  11. That's the general reaction I get from my female friend on a blind date. (slightly adjusted your post to make it more sense to mine)
  12. Most of that $1.3 million can be buried in Abby (though I think he'll be given every chance up with the parent club). Dickinson cap hit was over a million higher.
  13. Thanks Jim Benning (he actually gave up a 3rd round pick to get Dickenson in the first place as well).
  14. You remember "Mr Hair" Kerry Fraser referring one game we had against the Red Wings? Guy gave us two penalty shots in one game (when the Canucks were down two goals). Hlinka took both of them & scored on both (he had this fantastic wrist shot). I'm not sure if we won the game or if it ended up a tie? But yeah, Bubla lasted longer as a Canuck for us (think Hlinka had some back issues) as it seemed he was almost tailor made for the 'clutch & grab' style of hockey then lol.
  15. Cody also played good enough to earn a decent contract after his ELC ended. Jake gets PTO's. *HUGE* difference. Cody hurt only himself with his attitude. Another *HUGE* difference. Just my opinion.
  16. Lanz was also great in helping Bubla & Hlinka in getting acclimated to the NHL. Sure those two were two old vets & 'have seen the world' but we saw how a guy like Krutov turned out when he really was the cliche'd 'fish out of water'. Krutov couldn't handle 'all the freedom' after being always told what to do & when to do it under that old Soviet system imho. Larionov was more 'worldly' so he was better able to adjust. edit: haven't forgotten Bubla's fighting style....I seem to remember to didn't particularly throw too many punches but put you in a big bear hug to squeeze the life out of you.
  17. We might've still won game 1 had not one person made that ill fated pass late in the game. Of all the people to give the puck to 'right in the slot'.
  18. That Islanders team was a team with a number of legit hall of famers in our defense (and we didn't even have our best defenseman in that series). Custer faced better odds at the Battle of Little Bighorn.
  19. Forget the beer, I just liked this old classic commercial:
  20. She also was heavily involved in helping Larionov & Krutov's wives when they came over. Remember that we weren't a 'big budget team' back then (in terms of spending money) & couldn't just hire a full-time people to handle that sort of stuff (my speculation) It was "locally owned" but to be honest, in terms of sports, they were kind of just like a 'small mom & pop operation' competing against a 'big box store'.
  21. If you look really closely at the dancing girls with the toy guns in the background of this music video, you'll see Cher! (no joke, that *IS* her) - sorry the video quality ain't the greatest:
