As a quarter season holder, very impressed by the Canucks crowds this season, building is always at 95% or above in capacity, people are invested in this team no matter what, we're one of the top 5 markets in this league, Canucks showed guts tonight despite losing OEL and Lazar amongst others, Rangers are a contender, Canucks never backed down, a great night at Rogers Arena for all
-
Based on sources sounds like Boston has upped their offer for Luke Schenn, Calgary holding still with their offer but the Canucks want defenceman Connor Mackey
-
That is some tidy business by the Canucks, I love this deal, Islanders best prospect, the potential 1st round picks, and a 25 year old who they can flip at the next deadline, I will miss Bo, I saw his first NHL goal live vs Anaheim, wonder if he re-signs with NYI
-
Boeser to Columbus rumblings outta Columbus, and Hronek, Rasmussen, and 2024 1st apparently on table from Detroit for Bo Horvat, should be an interesting month leading up to deadline
-
Canucks absolutely have to get one of these top 4 picks in the draft this year, all of them are ready to play in the NHL, deepest draft in ages
-
Where all the haters at?? Canucks 1 point out of a wild card
-
Canucks now 9-0-3 vs LA in the last 12 meetings, and Brock Boeser has 12 goals in his last 13 games vs LA as well
-
Now just try to get De Haan and this offseason will be a success for the Canucks
-
Man, thats a downgrade upfront for Calgary, you lose Gaudreau and Tkachuk, and add Huberdeau, where Calgary actually improved was their defence with Weegar which was already soli, I dunno I think the Flames need to add more upfront, not that deep anymore
-
As of right now, my Canadian team rankings, these will most likely change a bit come puck drop in October. 1.Toronto 2.Edmonton 3.Vancouver 4.Calgary 5.Ottawa 6.Winnipeg 7.Montreal
-
Lekkerimaki is a Jordan Eberle comparable and his shot at just 17 years old is ranked high end, as for JT Miller, im hearing theres still chatter with the Rangers, seems like the Caps are out, teams will circle back on JT tomorrow on day 2, Rangers will have to up their offer
-
BRUCE THERE IT IS! 40 wins for the team, first time since 2014-2015. Boudreau at 599 wins, needs 1 more to hit 600! JT Miller 2 points away from 100 points! The way this season has emerged since December is remarkable, no reason why they can't win 4 extra games atleast and get into the playoffs, time for the 3 year window to win a cup! It begins next season! HUGE exciting offseason upcoming! Lets go!

What a story the Canucks have been in the hockey world, 30-13-9 with Bruce Boudreau, chants in a sold out building every home game, the city believes again, people are invested, big summer ahead, I cheer for for this team no matter what but now, after all I've put up with, this feels awesome!

Took an old guy coming out of retirement essentially to hire a legit NHL head coach. We'd still have Green behind the bench with Benning as GM. Seems like many NHL GMs have one fatal flaw. With Brian Burke, it was his inability to get a starting NHL goalie (the one Stanley Cup he won as GM, he inherited that solid NHL starting goalie).
-
Boudreau...making the Canucks relevant again in the NHL. I went from not giving a damn about the Canucks under Benning and Green to being fully vested under Boudreau's watch. I hope the Hockey Ops execs exercise the option to bring Boudreau back next season and extend him. Bring in the Swedish coach and have him work with Bruce for two seasons and groom him to be the next head coach when Bruce turns 70. Move Bruce into an Exec/Advisory role thereafter. He is a solid hockey man.

Canucks are playing in and winning meaningful games with 8 games left in the season, for that I am grateful, this team bends but doesn't break, depleted forward group without Boeser,Pearson,Hoglander, and Highmore, not gonna be pretty but they muck it out, very proud

@bigbadcanucks I wouldn't call it a long road ahead....
We need to get one good d-man on the right side instead of the jambalaya of different experiments that we have right now. If trading out Hamonic was possible, then Myers moving in the summer after his very stellar season is not that hard to imagine anymore.
Playing at a 105 pace over 60 games is nothing to sneeze at.
We're going to gain a bit of extra cap flexibility this off-season and hopefully refresh our stock or prospects by getting an extra pick or two in 2022 or 2023.
I'm expecting a 100 point season from our guys next year, while coming in 2-3 million under the salary cap and not getting any older. That is perfectly attainable and would be a nice accomplishment by Allvin and company.
-
Yeah I'm hoping Bubble Demko comes back and a little early, just in time to go on a late season run, and then hopefully Brock and the reinforcements can return for an unexpected dark horse run.
Also agreed with @VancouverHabitant, the inefficient contracts remaining are Myers, Poolman, Dickinson and to lesser extent OEL (not including Pearson in this). If we don't trade him, I think we could always repurpose Dickinson and pair him with a defensively capable 3rd C and another Motte-type on the other wing for a shutdown unit so the scorers can go out and focus on offense. Myers can probably be moved with a mild sweetener, and maybe Poolman can go for a 4th or something.

Man Vegas sucks, no cap space, went all in and gonna miss the playoffs, rather be a Canucks fan right now

@Vinny in Vancouver while it's true about their key injuries and it would've been hugely beneficial to have them, it's not like they have the cap space to fit them (esp. with the Dadonov Debacle). Having Smith come off the books might offer some relief (as would actually trading the guy they call "Dad"), but it's still pretty tight considering Roy, Hague and Kolesar are all key RFA's. To move Dad they might have to empty their cupboards again and even then it'll be a tight fit (plus they suffered with Lehner out, which shows how important he really is to them).

If you're not proud of what this team has accomplished since December, then you're not a fan, the covid, the massive injury bug mixed in playing 3rd string goalies and dmen from Abby, this team still competed and found ways to get points, its been an incredible run, its been fun to be part of a race this late for once, there's a lot of good pieces here, summer should be very interesting

@TNucks1 that's true they will never play to lose. I just find it odd to be proud of the what the team "accomplished" since December. Wins are nice and all, but the end result is that we hindered our draft pick while not making the playoffs. I don't think that's a good outcome, nor does it make someone less of a fan for viewing it that way.
Hopefully some savvy moves by management in the summer set this team up for long term success. Fingers crossed.

Does the NHL wanna look at the Canucks 6 goals tonight and see if they can reverse any of them? Must suck for them seeing us get 2 points, bunch of degenerates
-
A 2nd straight game where the league took 2 points away from the Canucks, unbelieveable, Garland goal should have tied the game, and a follow through high stick on Motte is reversed?? Who else in the league gets this sort of crap treatment on a weekly basis?

@Pears I think it’s more a case of refs that are incompetent more than anything else. Sure there are Kelly Sutherland types but imho, there are very few refs/officials that are good at their jobs anymore.
-
LOL the officiating towards the Canucks has been the worst out of all professional sports, don't even try to argue this point because youre an idiot if you do, there is video of this and the NHL needs to investigate, enough is enough

@Rubik The league knows their precious Knights are losing ground and they can’t have them miss the playoffs.
-
The fact is, the Canucks are trying to win the cup in the next 3 years, as a fan that excites me, on Jeff Mareks morning show he mentioned Vancouver as the most intriguing team to watch at the deadline, Canucks are in good hands!
-
I think a lot depends on what happens at the trade deadline, and at the draft.
This team needs picks, cap room, speed, size and skill. We need a more balanced lineup.
JB went for skill and the bigger teams walk over us. To be truthful I'm not even sure this team
can compete in 3 years. I hope I'm wrong.
-
I don't understand, why do the Canucks have to trade anyone at all?? if Boudreau started the year here Canucks would be at the top of the division. My plan would be not to do anything at all

@rychicken By what standard are you judging it? Green's version of the Canucks wasn't very good. Boudreau has brought out a lot out of this team that was supposedly "not very good".
Certainly, if the team was built like trash, they wouldn't be competing with the better teams of the league, no? They'll just lose every single game like Green did.
-
Congrats to the NHL for the Blues win! If this was the Leafs with this many players/coaches in Covid protocol, they would have postponed the game, such a joke, Canucks were the way better team tonight again just like last game, very proud of this team given the circumstances
-
Evander Kanes 3 team list is Tampa Bay, Florida and Vancouver, the Canucks should try to sign him near league minimum, would be great, dump Chiasson or Pearson, its time to go for the cup in the next couple years here, fans here are uneducated losers, real hockey minds know this would be a great move
